Those of you who can't sleep, are you pottering, knowing you won't be able to or do you get into bed, in the dark, snuggle, eyes closed, giving it a jolly good go?

Snowing eh? How lovely. Smile

My little one has hopefully gone off again so I'll join her. See you all in a bit.

After 3 weeks of Tonsilitis and eating ice cream I think I've turned into a whale so krill is very apt actually.

SummerDad · 24/02/2013 02:15

I don't feel like sleeping!

RipleyIsMyHero · 24/02/2013 02:20

Morning all! It's my day off tomorrow so allowed to stay up :) Trying not to think about cigarettes. It's been 8 days since my last one.

kansasmum · 24/02/2013 02:25

In hospital with my 16 yr old dd- impossible to sleep due to hourly neuro obs!! She however manages to sleep a bit!

cafecito · 24/02/2013 02:26

(Covers eyes at summerdad and kitty) Grin I have been rather whaleesque the past couple weeks kitty I just scoffed yogurt, fruit and maple syrup, with some jaffa cakes....at about 2am....oopsy! also been doing much less exercise with exams and illness. I meant to restart my usual workouts this weekend but jaffa cake lifting has been the most I've done. I usually just cannot sleep so thus I usually don't try because I dislike the consequences intensely. I often hit a point though where I could sleep but then I reenergise and get very awake instead. Should try duvet snuggling, but I would take some work with me, requiring lights to be on, which defeats the object..! Oh, to be normal..

cafecito · 24/02/2013 02:28

Sorry to hear you're in hospital with DD Kansas. It's impossible to sleep in them. Is she likely to be in for a while?

Ripley- 8 days is brilliant!!

kansasmum · 24/02/2013 02:33

Cafe- She hit her head yesterday and has concussion but her vision and differing pupil sizes are causing concern. Awaiting on decision about CT scan in the morning.
Of course this happens when dh is away so ds is at neighbours and I forgot to give her a key so have to go back in am to let dogs out!

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 02:34

I can't stop coughing Sad

I could sleep if it weren't due that. grrrAngry

Ripley very well done Grin Thanks good for you. my husband has just hit 7 weeks. I finally managed to givd up when I found out I was pregnant. I know its not easy.

Kansasmum Thanks for you abs your daughter. Positive thoughts are wending their way to you. Are you actually in Kansas?

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 02:36

Dr cafe why are you covering you eyes? I'm confused.

(not hard)

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 02:38

Just focus on the yogurt and fruit part.Smile Perhaps ice cream might help my cough Hmm

horse9uk · 24/02/2013 02:42

bored exploring sites found this site so i thought id come in and say hello..but found out how 2 get marks off shower screens...at last..

Anifrangapani · 24/02/2013 03:34

Dd friend is homesick and parents didn't wake up when called. Been over an hour now.Hopefully she nods off soon.

nicholasr · 24/02/2013 03:58

Pontepines, {joanofarchitrave}, @cafecito, I think I'm going to like it here. There was some delicious sticky-toffee-pudding leftover last night. Hmmm?
Why am I awake? After years of hibernation my bloody inner voice has verbal diarrhoea! That and a heart on the mend. Sad

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 04:47

welcome horse and tell me more about these marks Smile

who said sticky toffee what now? Grin

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 12:26

Ive just got up Blush
my lovely husband gave our daughter her her breakfast.

I've got a banging headache i

Midwife99 · 24/02/2013 17:10

Ooooh Kitty how wonderful - in bed until 12!!
Sticky toffee anything is welcome any time but sorry - leftovers - what are they?!!

jynier · 24/02/2013 18:39

cafecito - tried to "link" but it didn't work. If you google "70,000 horses missing in Northern Ireland," then you will find quite a bit of info.

Hope that everyone is ok.

Midwife99 · 24/02/2013 18:40

How are you feeling jynier? And cafe?

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 20:29

I know midwife shocking eh? Grin

I was however up twice in the night with the baby, she didn't wake finally till 10 and I'm fighting off the tail end of Tonsilitis. That probably puts a slightly different slant on things. I admit he's still very good. I haven't stopped since I got up though Grin

MrsShrek3 · 24/02/2013 20:33

summerdad and kitty Shock

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 21:06

MrsShrek what was the Shock for? Am I missing something here? Do I need to read back over posts? Hmm

I'm very confused

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 24/02/2013 21:12

Was it the "giving it a jolly good go" comment which is raising eyebrows? I meant sleep you know not, well, sharpening pencilsBlush

I don't like how this thread is going and it's not my fault. Confused
