*clocking in

hello

had a sleep deprived crash, spent a few days like a zombie, not remotely productive- back on the caffeine and night shifts as of tonight! wwoooo (though have been up since this morning, and hospital is annoyingly busy still wish the normal folk would go home Wink )

cafecito · 02/02/2013 22:19

kitty- I did a double take at beacon waver, though I suspect the espressos are clouding my vision Grin

Eskino · 02/02/2013 22:27

Newborn just fed and is settled on my shoulder. It's quiet time between her feeding and 2yo ds shouting for something obscure which invariably happens this time of night. DP is out "wetting the baby's head". It's my first time alone in charge of 2 babies.

cafecito · 03/02/2013 00:24

eskino, congratulations on new baby!

my DS has just turned 3, he gets more and more inventive every time he wants something in the middle of the night. I am almost proud at his ingenuity

lost I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks are you still awake?

Cafe If it had been a bacon waver I'd have been up that runway like a shot. Grin

Eskino Envy ooh snuffly newborn snuggles ahhhhh!

Congratulations Smile

That envy face needs a smile, it's far too aggressive

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 02:00

Ok cafe my medical ABC is lasting ages but I'm stuck on F. I try to get 5 of each letter. I had phlebotomy until I realised my mistake. Blush Any suggestions?

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:26

grr noisy people in a library is not conducive to optimal late night early hours dissertation writing or exam panicking!

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:29

kitty hmm are you asleep yet, if not I can offer you.... fibromyalgia... fenestrated epithelium, fentanyl, FVC, femoral line...

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:29

I may have made the epithelium up, replace with footdrop, or fluconazole

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 03:29

"I thought I told you lot! Scram!....don't make me come in there"

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:32

Grin I've given an evil, as has the very important doctor behind me who is writing her research paper on some terribly clever stuff. I'm sat by a window, it's very cold, and my ipod is playing something ghastly but I'm too cold to change it... and the extra layers I have are in a locker somewhere in the basement where all the dead bodies are and I suspect I will get locked into the corridor if I go there for more tops, so will make do!

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 03:32

Thanks cafe that's great Grin

I've heard of most of them too, silly me.

How are you getting on?

Chottie · 03/02/2013 03:33

eskino I love that new born baby smell, snuggling into your neck. < sob, sob > I haven't smelt that smell for years.......

I'm up because I often wake up at this time. I lie in bed and just can't get back to sleep. So I get up, make a cup of tea and chat to others who are also awake.....

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 03:35

Cross post. Ooh that's not good. The dead bodies have got your woolies and your iPod is taunting you? Notvery supportive of either of them.

I'm doing my usual quacky hover.

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 03:37

Hi chottie Smile that's this thread in a nutshell

How's your weekend going then?

SummerDad · 03/02/2013 03:39

Hi everyone, just to let you know that I am also up and running now Grin

OP posts:
kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 03:42

Fenestrated epithelium. Capillaries in the gastrointestinal (GI) mucosa, the kidney , and secretory glands ...

There you go! Mr Google sez

kittyandthegoldenfontanelles · 03/02/2013 03:43

Running? Actually running?

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:48

see, I aspire to one day be able to be a morning person. At the moment I am a morning person for all the wrong reasons, I am STILL awake Grin

I would say the dead bodies have my woolies. And all my other random comfortableness items, and about 10 books and 3 pairs of shoes. and a toothbrush. I got changed there today Blush came in inappropriately attired en route from a comedy club, high ankle boots and a dress... quickly changed in the corridor hoping nobody saw, forgot there is CCTV which I only remembered when I couldn't get out of the corridor even with my swipe card, and security opened the door for me [mortified]

Chottie · 03/02/2013 03:49

kitty Thanks

I'm surprised I'm not asleep actually. I had a lovely day yesterday. Both DC were home together (last time was Nov 12 Sad - they are adults and live hundreds of miles apart and DS works shifts), so we have had a lovely day.

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:49

chottie, hello

lost are you still up?

eskino I LOVE new baby smell oh my goodness - DD/DS? how new? *gets broody

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:50

yay for nice day chottie!

I often wonder how I will be when DS is a grown adult., Not that I see him enough now, of course, but when I actively can't see him because he is all grown up, will be hard

cafecito · 03/02/2013 03:52

I had a really bad night's sleep last night (I tried to go to bed like a normal person.. early by my standards.. like 2am...) and I ended up waking up every 20-30 mins, properly got up at 6am, wasted time on facebook, attempted some work with a sushi breakfast, then went back to bed til 10. I don't like not being able to sleep. harumph

StairsInTheNight · 03/02/2013 03:52

I am up most nights between 2ish and 5ish, suprised i havent seen this thread before, but its nice to hear from others who are up. I am up less lately because i found Nytol actually works for me. But i have run out, bad timing as i had to endure lunch from hell with family today, followed by some very unflattering photos of my chins to round it all off. Hello to everyone.
