He's about to propose to me - How do I act surprised??

Ok a few months ago I made a cosmic order for my boyfriend to propose to me before the end of the year. It hasn't happened yet and I'm not seeing him tonight so obviously it will happen either tomorrow night or NYE as he's staying with me both these nights.

I don't want him to know his proposal was cosmically ordered so I'll have to act all surprised when he does it, even though I know what's about to happen!

Any tips on acting surprised when you're really not? I'm so excited Grin

Pah! Update required please OP.

OhEmGee25 · 01/01/2013 15:50

Out of curiosity of this ridiculous idea I tried it myself last week. I can report that my own "order" of a nye proposal didn't come through! However, he did tell me he's booked us a holiday in Majorca so win Grin I wonder if OPs order worked out. (sceptic)

OPeaches · 01/01/2013 16:03

Really?? People believe this?

Ruprekt · 01/01/2013 16:10

bump

Lueji · 01/01/2013 16:24

Come on OP, just tell us it worked, you are all very happy.
Then name change.

:o

Otherwise we'll be asking for updates till next NYE.

Northumberlandlass · 01/01/2013 16:34

Keep checking this thread to see an update!
Ah man, come on OP we're on tender hooks....

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 01/01/2013 16:35

OP, you have to come back and update us with all the details of the proposal or we will have to assume the whole cosmic ordering thing to be a load of wanky bollocks. And no one wants that, right?

Northumberlandlass · 01/01/2013 16:58

Yes please prove me wrong! I'm sitting here with a list as long as my arm!!!!

BertieBotts · 01/01/2013 17:08

I don't think you can put a time limit on, can you? Plus I'm not sure it works on the actions of another person, just things. I've used cosmic ordering in the past and found it worked but never for an action by another person. That seems against the spirit of it really.

cookielove · 01/01/2013 17:27

Hmmmmm, i do think its a bit bonkers, but would love to know if OP got her proposal nosy fecker is me

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 01/01/2013 21:15

We'd all like it to have worked, OP.

I believe in the Law of Attraction, which I guess is the same thing. If it hasn't worked, you can't have done it right.

bumhead · 01/01/2013 21:54

The Law of Attraction is the same thing. I actually think the name Cosmic Ordering isn't helpful.
It does actually work (well does for me) but you can't force people to do things against their will and time limits don't always work because it isn't as simple as just placing an order.
Also you have to be very careful what you wish for because you might just get it eg me and the TV celeb (and what a stalkerish knobber he turned out to be)

OverlyYappyAlways · 01/01/2013 22:38

anyone married yet?

I#m not, I can destroy all relationships in seconds.....

I have my flooring though

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 01/01/2013 23:02

Overly Eh?

OverlyYappyAlways · 01/01/2013 23:07

I haave no idea what i said...

I was advised to order flooring, via a candle and thinking..and staring sa lot at flooring... I have flooring.

A man came next, told him to erm... go away ...

(ignore the pissed posters please)

CuriosityKilledTheCrapTree · 02/01/2013 07:42

Yes - I did say yes Grin

tribpot · 02/01/2013 07:45

Well you probably had no choice, Curiosity, you were probably cosmically ordered to do so Grin

Congratulations on surrendering to the fate ordained for you by the universe itself!

mariefrance1 · 02/01/2013 08:45

What do you think of this? I put in a cosmic order several weeks ago to be with someone on new years eve, thinking of one of two guys I had recently met. It got to the night before and I was still staying in alone with the kids and accepted the cosmic order had not worked. Anyway the ex (separated 2 years) turned up at the door out of the blue and asked me back. We saw the new year in together. Moral of the story: be careful what you wish for!

MeerkatMerkin · 02/01/2013 12:18

Hazel, if you are talking about a Mr Denham then I know him and his robotic hand well, although have never seen a documentary about his work, but I'm sure I will find it very serious and informative if I do watch it! Wink

JustFabulous · 02/01/2013 12:31

I am so glad I didn't read the whole thread since the OP couldn't be arsed to update Hmm.

SPsFanjoHasSatelliteNavigation · 02/01/2013 12:34

I'm guessing their was no proposal and that why she hasn't returned

Lueji · 02/01/2013 12:35

I think she has, by not updating...

ReinDearPrudence · 02/01/2013 12:43

No proposal and no update. This really won't do...

jenny99 · 02/01/2013 12:44

Can we put in a cosmic order for an update?!

SPsFanjoHasSatelliteNavigation · 02/01/2013 12:50

My cosmic order hasn't arrived yet either
