It's the best I could come up with Grin

As you were...

Parsley cheeky bugger. Personally I'd be tempted to be really cutting back...

Then again, the high road is better.

ParsleyTheLioness · 18/10/2012 19:20

No, cutting is good. What would you say if you were being...cutting.

fayster · 18/10/2012 19:37

Parsley, how about

"Thanks for your message, but looks and size do matter to me, so I don't think you're what I'm looking for. Good luck."

ParsleyTheLioness · 18/10/2012 19:40

That's good Fayster he was younger than me, but you couldn't tell...and he had no hair, and was no oil painting...none of which I have a problem with, until I am judged and found wanting. By someone who is less attractive than I!

kittybiscuits · 18/10/2012 19:50

I'm not dating, so won't join this thread, but love to lurk! How about 'easy for an ugly fucker like you to say!'?

watchoutforthatsnail · 18/10/2012 19:51

haha. oh dear god. thats funny. parsley - dont worry, i was once told, TO MY FACE, that ' there was no spark, but i would fuck you'
which was bad enough, but this guy had only had sex once in his life and had never had a girlfriend.

muppets, the lot of them
:)

mac - have a fab time:)
madame - sounds really good!
yoga - any job news?

Spoke to a friend who declared me insane for being miffed pirate hasnt even tried to cop a feel. down to reality with a bump and a cold shower. have decided to invest in ann summers enjoy taking it slow and see what happens

snape - how are you?

ParsleyTheLioness · 18/10/2012 19:53

Thanks all Kitty am tempted, tis funny.

Yogagirl17 · 18/10/2012 20:01

watch - no job news yet Sad. I have an interview for something else on Monday. It's not something I really want but have tried to use it to spur them on a little. Tis so frustrating (tho not in the needing a cold shower kind of way). Feel like I have so much riding on this and am going to be pretty guttted, not to mention totally broke, if this doesn't work out.

OhWesternWind · 18/10/2012 20:04

Got a babysitter sorted, so I am on for seeing him again on saturday. Whoopee!! I am finding myself thinking of him far too often. I am just going to go over to his house and jump him, sounds like a good night to me. (This is date 6 so I think I have waited quite long enough, am getting myself a bit frustrated so it's definitely time).

watchoutforthatsnail · 18/10/2012 20:08

excellent western. thats great. exciting weekend ahead then :)

MadameOvary · 18/10/2012 20:24

I have looked at my calender and I think that Mother sodding Nature has plans to disrupt my Sunday night. Meh.
Watch and Western I wonder who'll get there first out of the three of us? Grin
(Tongue very firmly in cheek as is it most definitely not a race)

MadameOvary · 18/10/2012 20:25

Parsley I like Fayster's response.

OhWesternWind · 18/10/2012 20:32

I am really enjoying all this. Had a terrible time sex wise with ex who wouldn't have sex and made out it was my fault but surprise surprise he was getting his end away somewhere else. So it's lovely to have someone where the feelings are reciprocated and I actually feel desirable and sexy. Plus he is much fitter and better-hung than the ex so I think I am really going to enjoy it!!

OhWesternWind · 18/10/2012 20:33

Mme it's going to be me!!! (But maybe not if you count it by numbers of dates).

watchoutforthatsnail · 18/10/2012 20:35

:) western, thats fab, and how you should feel. i hope it all goes great.

madame- lol. western can have the crown......

Yogagirl17 · 18/10/2012 20:45

snapespeare · 18/10/2012 20:46

. Exhausted watch plus in grips of horrible period cramps, so on sofa with a bottle of beer and a book. Thanks for asking. :)

Wrapped PMs other present tonight, looks rather splendid. Going to tinker with the notebook of doooooooooooom over the weekend and then wrap it. Planning to drop around o his on Monday. S'posed to be going out for lesbian surf and champagne tomorrow, don't want to go. He's been very sweet re trying to find me a new flatmate. (Sigh)

The only thing I cans comment on is not really finding short men attractive, by which I mean shorter than me and I'm 5ft 9/10... Last LTR was with a short arse Wink Grin I think I had such terribly low self esteem at that point that I managed to overlook that he was around 5ft 6. Very sweet guy at the start, but not for me.

I am a senior.

hatesponge · 18/10/2012 21:01

watch thanks so so much for all your help with my profile thingy (and all the lovely things you said about me!) have bribed persuaded friend to write another couple of paragraphs for me too, now just to cobble it together Grin of course if anyone else has any contributions all most gratefully appreciated...frankly anything we can do to get me over the 1st date curse!

snape cant believe its nearly notebook time already...are you going to stay while he opens it or drop and run? I'd want to do the former but probably end up doing the latter. I think either would work in the movie version :)

hope the beer helps, and also that the union are doing their stuff re work.

watchoutforthatsnail · 18/10/2012 21:14

sponge - thats excellent, cobble something really good out of lots of bits. Please let us read the final thing. im al excited for you, i really think this might work. and when the profile is up and running.

snape = :( period just takes the piss, doesnt it. drink it into oblivion :)

JoylessFucker · 18/10/2012 21:46

watch ... there's no doubt that short-but-sweet brings in the messages, but I thought this was about attracting the right sort of person, not going for the ego strokes. From my time lurking on these threads (worryingly extensive) I wouldn't argue with you for one moment about sponge being unique and wonderful. That's why I bothered to write my post. I think its that very uniqueness ought to be showcased and I don't believe short-but-sweet cuts the mustard in those circumstances. But I'm happy to be told I'm wrong/got the wrong end of the stick and to return to lurking mode.

OhWesternWind · 18/10/2012 21:47

Sponge nothing I can say that Watch hasn't already said better, but you are fab and clever and beautiful and it's about time you had some better luck.

Snape - well, apart from the bit about Watch, exactly the same to you too. Chin up, tits out and don't let the buggers get you down.

Watch thanks for your encouragement! I am feeling so positive about my life and myself lately in lots of ways. My life is far from perfect but I am happier than I have been in years, not just down to men and sex but finally getting my confidence and self esteem back. It rocks.

watchoutforthatsnail · 18/10/2012 21:55

Thats great western :) really is.
The puppy kind of cemented all that for me too,, despite it not being perfect. Its very nice to feel desired, isnt it.

Joyless, it was just a suggestion. My single friend works in the way that the friend writes the first bit, the introduction as it were. Then the dater writes the second bit. Making it a whole profile.

JoylessFucker · 18/10/2012 22:02

Yes, I've used it (My Single Friend that is). I found the best bit was reading the very lovely things one's friend(s) say about you. That's a stroke which is utterly irreplaceable and far better than any man ... I hope it works, both in terms of sponge getting to see how highly she is regarded and in bringing in the right guy.

Anyway, as you were ... I have to go do some flirting with current potential. Cheers! Wine

Yogagirl17 · 18/10/2012 22:24

Anyone use match? Thought i'd have another look on it but is it impossible to communicate if you're not subscribed?

hatesponge · 18/10/2012 22:47

OK, so the sort of final version, X is where my name will be.

I feel really embarassed actually Blush about all the things Watch and my other friends contributed. This is the cobbled together version, plus a couple of changes I made myself (I had to take the cheese bit out as much as I love it, I never eat it anymore cos it gives me chronic heartburn...)

" Football loving, TOWIE watching, lawyer, with a weakness for jagerbombs, sushi and good conversation....''

Yes, you read that right, my lovely friend X is all of these things, wrapped up in one fantastic package.

X is stunningly beautiful, but I really don't need to add that, you can see for yourself from her pictures. What you can't (yet) see, is how utterly charming, kind and fun she is. She enjoys both the high and low brow and I can guarantee any time spent with her is an absolute pleasure.

As a friend X is incredibly loyal, unfailingly honest, has a brilliant mind and a fab sense of fun. She's a real social chameleon, equally as at home swearing like a navvy on the football terraces as she is clinking champagne glasses in 5 star hotels. Wherever she is, she'll be having a great time, as will everyone in her company, she has an infectious giggle and a amazing smile.

She not only has a cracking job, but always finds a way to makes time for those close to her and is a sparky mum to two teenage boys. Something has to give though, so, and forgive me X, but shes allergic to mud and has a rather rambling garden; so if you are handy with a spade do let her know and you might get repaid in some hearty home cooking (her lasagne is definitely worth trying!). or on a less culinarily inspired day a M&S meal for two, but whats a few bits of packaging when the wine is flowing :)

You're probably wondering what's the catch - well in addition to the mud phobia, she's not without faults, she can't whistle (don't ever try and get her to hail a cab) or wink (so she's useless at wink murder). She does also support Arsenal which is either a fault or a massive point in her favour depending on your perspective. Apart from that though she's pretty much perfect, and a real catch!
