Do people really have extremely loud sex genuinely

or is something lacking in my life? On a recent holiday, a couple a few balconies down had seemingly earth shattering sex involving a lot of screaming and moaning. So loud that people came out of their rooms all the way down the corridor.
Secrectly i am a bit jealous that their sex life is apparently so great.

my next door neighbour used to do this. She was so loud and theatrical. That was until her BF moved in, that seemed to kill the whole thing dead. I think she was trying to impress him, but then she always was a bit of a twat Grin

StellarforStar · 17/08/2012 14:23

Oh dear, I am quite vocal, but wouldn't say screaming and shouting.

I am quite gobby and have no self control IRL and I think it shows through!

I don't know why I haven't NC'd for this. I'll have to think of a new name now.

MrsBucketxx · 17/08/2012 14:26

it really depends sometimes i am sometimes im not.

why feel jealous of other peoples sex lives surely only your own matters?

stardice · 17/08/2012 14:29

i am not particularly vocal, didn't really even make a noise when i had my dcs. I suppose i am not really jealous, but wondering if loud sex is better that quieter sex.

Im a control freak, given to shouting directions..
My husband is silent as death, often just makes odd gulping noise when at climax...

Polyethyl · 17/08/2012 14:45

The girl in the flat below me moans and shrieks. Generally at 3am. Why are they having sex at 3am, so noisy that they wake me? They both have jobs.

Undertone · 17/08/2012 14:47

I'm a serial orgasm-faker. I thought I would get found out if I wailed and screamed too loudly, so I have it down to a fine art of picturesque moaning and strategic gasps.

Occasionally if I think he's doing really well and putting loads of effort in I will turn up the volume and drama.

I can orgasm easily on my own - and I can do it with my partner, but it takes so long that I get extremely anxious that he will get bored. I really enjoy sex even without coming, so to me it just solves a problem.

When having a real orgasm I don't tend to scream and shout at all - I'm too focused on the sensation and tend to just pull stupid faces.

How's THAT for over-sharing?

FateLovesTheFearless · 17/08/2012 14:48

I am vocal Blush it's actually a bit embarrassing but I can't really help it! Sometimes i realise how loud I am being and try suffocate myself with a pillow Grin

lubeybooby · 17/08/2012 14:51

I love a bit of noise. I don't scream or shout but I definitely make it known when things are nice or reaaaaaallllly nice and when I orgasm

Zara1984 · 17/08/2012 14:52

Grin fate

DH makes me do that when we are staying at a hotel.... don't know why, I don't give a shit what people in the neighbouring room hear!!

At a uni hall of residence I lived at, one girl really did have LOUD and I mean TERRIFYINGLY loud sex with her boyfriend. So noisy that her (slightly clueless) downstairs male neighbour ran upstairs and was banging on her door tand rying to get in because he thought she was being raped!!! I don't know who was more Blush - the couple or him!

Impossiblyglossy · 17/08/2012 14:53

Lol at undertone "just get on with it I will do it better myself later"

Blipbipbeep · 17/08/2012 14:57

I'm like Fate but often forget the pillow Grin

Jinx1906 · 17/08/2012 14:59

Don't mean to hijack this topic but I was wondering how to fake an orgasm. I have never done this, although I have to fess up that I have been tempted some times on days where it just doesn't want to because I'm to tired and it is taking such a long time that I want it over and done with!

I would worry that my DH feels the difference, like bits down there not contracting the way they normally do?? Vocals only won't do, will they?

Victoria3012 · 17/08/2012 15:01

This actually made me laugh so much, I do this Smile

MrsTrellisOfSouthWales · 17/08/2012 15:07

My university housemate's girlfriend was so loud, think caterwauling dogs. I have no idea why, having previously been in her position as it were Blush I wouldn't have rated him that highly.

Twas very difficult to take her seriously after that.

bcarter30 · 17/08/2012 15:08

Ha I have received notes from my neighbours before asking us to and I quote 'cut the porn like noises' we woke them at 4am Shockwe hadnt seen each other for a few days cause of work lol

I only tend to be really loud when I am coming, during is just the usual moaning and groaning and words of encouragement Wink

When it comes to faking it, I really dont see the point, if you enjoy it without coming then fine, if you want to but he isnt quite getting you there, ask him does it bother him if you take a while to put your mind at rest, as if you are stressing over taking too long that is taking away from actually coming, also maybe he needs to try a few new things to help you along the way...plus if you fake it then when you actually do want to come he will think you are taking forever if you come quicker with your fakes Grin

A finger up the bum goes a long way...Blush

OneMoreChap · 17/08/2012 15:15

Isn't this one of those things where your orgasm is your responsibility?

I was fortunate enough when a young man to have a very sex-positive girlfriend. I was worried about being a crap shag, and she said, "No such thing. Just people who don't know how to do it together. If both people pay attention, and say what they like it'll be fine."

If you won't tell your partner what you like, or help them to make it nice for you... that's an issue for both of you.

[TMI: she liked doing it one way that I found too difficult to last out in, so she'd help herself along...]

maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavour · 17/08/2012 15:16

I can be quiet if I need to (and with teenagers in the house I often need to Wink) but its difficult and I have to concentrate really hard on being quiet and biting a pillow or DH

I am noisy when I know I can relax and no one will hear, I'm not faking it or being dramatic it's just how I am when I'm really enjoying it Grin

Beanbagz · 17/08/2012 15:17

Only in hotels when we've managed to sneak away without the kids Blush

garlicnuts · 17/08/2012 15:27

Oh dear, I'm noisy. It's been a long time - but I'm noisy on my own too! If I have to stay quiet for some reason, I can't really come because of controlling my reactions, iyswim.

I didn't have 'proper' orgasms until I decide to see whether making a noise would help. Boy, did it!!! I mostly sort of gasp and yelp. Am relieved about that, as the few men I've been with who shout words sounded utterly ridiculous Grin

I have had complaints from neighbours - and a fair amount of piss-taking Blush

garlicnuts · 17/08/2012 15:30

OneMoreChap, have I slept with you???!!!

lastnerve · 17/08/2012 15:31

I've never understood why people make a lot of noise, If I was the man I'd be in hysterics.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 17/08/2012 15:31

I'm noisy Blush Managed to wake DS1 up at midnight a couple of days ago... Blush

Jinx - if you want to fake, just fake the contractions as well Grin I have never faked with DH, but I have done in the past with other partners.

OneMoreChap, have I slept with you???!!!

If so, I hope we had a good time. Smile
Nah, unless you're very old. I was a friendly lad in the 70s/80s, and owed that mostly... to my 3rd girlfriend. She was adventurous, and led to some later partners being surprised to be asked "So how do you do it; what's best for you"

Houseofplain · 17/08/2012 15:47

I find IME the louder the screaming the crapper the shag. Like you are trying to egg them on to the finish, or cover something up....

I don't get how people can be "screamers" with kids in the house tbh. You think it disturbs the neighbours, what about the kids!
