or is something lacking in my life? On a recent holiday, a couple a few balconies down had seemingly earth shattering sex involving a lot of screaming and moaning. So loud that people came out of their rooms all the way down the corridor.
Secrectly i am a bit jealous that their sex life is apparently so great.

No people know what they are doing. They do it on purpose to show off/impress either the person they are sleeping with or people that can hear.

It's true though! Like someone else has said if orgasms caused an unnatural amount of noise then men would bellow every time, but they don't. It's porn that done this.

I'm not noisy but I did previously live next to a couple who would roll in from the pub at closing time, scream blue murder at each other for a while (turning the radio up louder and louder in the hope of covering it ), then have really loud and very fast sex at about 3am (with the radio turned off, incidentally)... As soon as the sex was done they would turn the radio back on and recommence the shouting!

It doesn't necessarily mean if the orgasm itself was the cause of the noise that men would be the same as women vocally. How do we know it's the same sort of feeling? Men, like women are capable of different types of orgasm and although my DP is not usually very vocal, I know from his sounds if he's heading into a normal finish or a knee trembler :)
