Do you call it sex or "making love"?

My new boyfriend (3months) asks to make love to me rather than just saying sex. I think it's incredibly cute but neither of us have said the L word or anything yet. Do many guys say this?!

first1, I think that as long as you don't find it 'vom-like' it's fine :). It's not as though he's saying it to anyone on this thread who's not a fan! If it represents an emotional intimacy to you then that's what's important.

To answer your other question, DH and I have been together for 13 years - we called each other all sorts of cheesy nn's in the beginning but hun seems to be the one that has stuck. Occasionally I get others but nothing consistent. And he calls me my middle name as well.

Elvira you just reminded me of another - we do Husband and Wife time here too Grin.

Pouncing in this house.

shockers · 13/04/2012 10:55

We call em 'nudey prod games'.

sherocks · 13/04/2012 10:56

Here is : Fancy a bonk / quick bonk ?
Or : It has been a while since you had a trip down under..me to him

GinPalace · 13/04/2012 10:59

All depends on the mood and moment at our house... I quite like the sneaking up behind me and saying a purring RRRrrrrrr softly in my ear. Grin

babyheave1662 · 13/04/2012 10:59

does tha want to get jiggy love?

GinPalace · 13/04/2012 11:00

It has even been known as Mouse Hunting before now!! All due to a long and convoluted joke that became a bit of an 'in' phrase Wink

fortyplus · 13/04/2012 13:18

If anyone called me 'baby' or 'angel' I'd probably pee myself laughing! But then I'm 5'9" and Amazonian 'athletic' build. If you're a 5'2" blonde dolly teetering on your high heels as you reapply your red lippy then I'm sure it's fine! Grin

MissFaversham · 13/04/2012 13:23

"Do you fancy a bit" (him) or "get em off" (me) are usually our technical terms Grin

alienreflux · 13/04/2012 13:28

chill first one sposed to be alight hearted laugh??

JustHecate · 13/04/2012 13:28

Sex.

I just cannot bring myself to say "making love" seriously. I just can't. Making luuuuuuurve in a piss taking tone, yes. But I just can't make the words come out of my mouth in any serious way.

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 13/04/2012 13:28

DH is the last of the romantics - his line (along with a raised eyebrow) is 'Do you fancy a quickie'

crikeybill · 13/04/2012 13:38

We casually suggest getting the blow up bed out !!
We have an 8 month old in our room at the moment as we are waiting to move and it is killing the passion.
So, the blow up comes out, its inflated before the baby goes to bed, dinner is eaten , washing up done, showers had etc, all the while this massive blow up bed sits waiting. Its quite a lot of pressure Hmm

............Its been deflated with no action on many an occasion after one party have changed their mind fallen asleep

piellabakewell · 13/04/2012 13:40

DP and I don't tend to call it anything...if we're together, and we can stay awake long enough, we're up for it.

HorseyGirl1 · 13/04/2012 13:42

Code in our house is 'What are you doing later on?' Correct answer is always 'you'! Sadly not allowed to at mo as currently preggo but the question has already been asked 'what are you doing at the end of June?' ;-)

picnicbasketcase · 13/04/2012 13:46

D'you know, I think the 'to' bit bothers me as much as the 'making love' does. Like it's something one person just does to the other. If anything it should be 'making love with', shouldn't it?

alienreflux · 13/04/2012 14:43

and yes, if someone called me 'angel' i would definitely vom. but then again, im no fuckin angel! Blush

first1 · 13/04/2012 15:16

Where's your lot's sense of romance?! Wink

upahill · 13/04/2012 18:16

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Edless that is awful!!! Grin

EdlessAllenPoe · 13/04/2012 18:23
Grin
lilibet · 19/04/2012 14:04

Fuck or sex are the norm, or if dh is being daft 'let's play hide the sausage'

Making love would get a very loud vomiting sound from me I'm afraid

ellenjames · 19/04/2012 14:11

fancy a fook??!!! But we tend not to have a conversation about it, it justs happens Grin
