Hi All, Nothing to report men wise but we have now chosen a beautiful silver tiger striped cat (tabby?) Four years old and absolutely gorgeous! Had a lovely cuddle with her and she was right at home, purring away. We can't wait to go collect her. Smile

Your evening sounds lovely lubey. DD and I are having a nice tea in celebration of getting our cat, Lulu as DD has named her.

CM Hope you are feeling better soon, also hope you manage to come back and update us before you jet off to Dubai.

Good news PoppaRob! I'm so pleased for you and I hope something comes of it.

I've redone my POF profile with some brilliant help from Stay but have hidden it until I have new photo's, then it is completely new and hopefully will attract a different kind of man. I've grown really tired of all the old codgers now, who don't mind telling me that we seem to have lots in common and that we will 'connect'. WTF!

hatesponge · 22/10/2011 16:23

lubey well done for doing the grown up option!

am back from my date. He is nice, but I don't fancy him. Well facially I do, even if he has got a black eye at the mo, but not the rest of him. Which actually makes me the worst sort of hypocrite. Because I've always expected men to fancy me whatever I looked like. Boo :(

Am hoping he doesn't want to see me again because he seems like a nice guy. And if he does I will feel bad, and prob agree.

This is why I don't do dating.

TimeForMeIsFree · 22/10/2011 16:29

Just get a cat sponge Grin

hatesponge · 22/10/2011 16:32

Time cats scare me a bit. If I could find a non scratchy cat I might consider it Grin

Please let him not have fancied me. I suspect by the fact he tried to slip me the tongue when we kissed goodbye that he might though.

hatesponge · 22/10/2011 16:34

Congrats on your new cat btw. When do you get to bring her home?

charlottesmum5 · 22/10/2011 16:40

adam are you having a general anaesthetic? I would say no you won't be able to drive home!! I had my op at 9.30 and because i was enjoying the drug induced sleep i don't react well to GA i didn't wake up til 1.30pm. I was picked up at 5pm and am staying with my friend for the weekend. Oh and I get two new kittens this week too :)
I did bleed loads after but it was because the removed loads of polyps, but Im just spotting now but in pain - like period pain really, and still feel pissed spaced out.
Good luck x

adamschic · 22/10/2011 16:45

Charlottesmum, no anesthetic at all just been told to take 2 ibruprofen 2 hours before. Argh feeling quite scared now. I suppose yours was more involved.

TimeForMeIsFree · 22/10/2011 16:45

WE have to have a home visit first then we can bring her home so about 2 weeks I think. Hopefully sooner. So many cats been abandoned, lot's of kittens too. Lulu was the eldest and least likely to be homes because of this but it made her all the more appealing to me. She is adorable.

If he does fancy you sponge then be flattered but don't feel you have to fancy him in return or go on another date with him. It sounds harsh I know but if he is disappointed at your rejection of him, it's his problem to deal with. The alternative is that you see him again just to prevent him from being upset so in fact you are bearing the responsibility. And ewwwwwwwwwwww at him trying to slip you the tongue!! You shouldn't feel bad about dumping him after that!!

lubeybooby · 22/10/2011 16:52

None of my cats are scratchy hatesponge! They are soppy daft buggers and I love them :o

She is lubey I shall be posting pics when we have her home Grin

hatesponge · 22/10/2011 17:04

thanks time I didnt actually mind the tongue tbh, cos I do sort of fancy him. But only from the neck up Blush

He has text me 3 times since. But general chit chat. Would prefer him to just come out and ask me so I can get it over with or say he's not interested and I can breathe a huge sigh of relief

TimeForMeIsFree · 22/10/2011 17:16

Do you no think that he might grow on you if you continued to see him? Fancying him just a little bit is a good start Smile

I think you need to take the bull by the horns and get the deed done. Dumping him that is. I mean, what if he doesn't ask you out for another fortnight?? You are going to be a wreck by then Grin I would just text and say something along the lines of "I had a lovely time today and you are a really nice guy but I'm afraid I felt no spark. I will understand if you no longer want to be friends" and leave it at that, see what he says.

Oh and sponge I got to cuddle lots of cat's today and none of them were scratchy, they were all lovely. Gooo on, join the cat club! Grin

lubeybooby · 22/10/2011 18:02

Right all ready and my BoR beau will be here soon. Have a good night all x

Sorry laptop missin letters aain

Zanywany · 22/10/2011 19:16

Just had a lovely message on POf from a guy asking me out tonight, when I said no that I had plans he told me I was sad for browsing for a date on there before I went out. Arse

hatesponge · 22/10/2011 21:49

Well, not heard any more from today's date. So maybe hopefully he doesnt want to see me again. We shall see.

Have thought about it and the crux of it is I couldn't see myself having sex with him. And given that I haven't seen any action in well over 2 years, and have lustful thoughts about a few most men, that's fairly conclusive in my view.

So back onto POF.
Or I might just get a (non scratchy) cat
Grin

adamschic · 22/10/2011 22:27

Gawd Sponge and he went in for some tongue action. Nice not to have to say 'thanks but no thanks' but then again good for the ego that they at least get in touch.

I'm going to see if my date which is already fixed up, text tomorrow as I have asked him to. Obviously if he doesn't the I won't be going. Will have to do my roots at some point before hand. Still cba but am curious.

adamschic · 22/10/2011 22:33

Ha, just went on to POF to check a message off another munter. My neighbour who lives right opposite to me, sent me a message to ask if I fancied a glass if wine. If I open my blinds he could wave to me. Anyway I'm going over for a drink, as I've ran out. I have told him that I don't fancy him Grin.

hatesponge · 22/10/2011 22:42

Adams enjoy your drink Grin is there deffo no potential with the neighbour?

I did my roots last night. Not really worth it for today but they did need doing anyway, so it's a job out of the way!

TimeForMeIsFree · 23/10/2011 10:46

Wish I had a neighbour like that......................... So handy.

lubeybooby · 23/10/2011 11:21

:o

Mornin all.

He held my hair out of my face while I puked then made me a cuppa and claims not to mind that I was suddenly so drunk. I might marry him just for that tbh Wink
