Do you still kiss with tongues?

Have been marriee 9 years and had 2 babies - 2.5 y. o. and 4 months. We used to kiss, then it was just when we made love and then that stopped. I miss it and told my husband so. He said that he liked it but had forgotten it. I feel quite shy even talking to him about it and would prefer he didn't do it if he didn't like it. Do you still do it?

Yes we do, after 13 years together, quite often have a proper snog.

Always ALWAYS kiss too (no tongues tho') on greeting or leaving each other. Esp important atm as dh away 5 nights a week.

Well DH not interested. Got told to lay still. And now he is in Germany and I am stuck at home having taken emergency holiday off work because DS has tonsilitis.

eidsvold · 12/10/2005 22:22

yes

Hulababy · 12/10/2005 22:25

Yes, we do sometimes. Kiss lots anyway - always on ariving/meeting, and other times too.

JoolsToo · 12/10/2005 22:27

bizarre

mumfor1sttime · 13/10/2005 09:05

I love a good kiss, especially with tonques!
We have been together 11 years and we still kiss with tonques, but probably not as often as I would like!

Easy · 13/10/2005 09:30

Jools
do you mean the question is bizarre?

Or the fact the we do it is bizarre?

plantaholic · 13/10/2005 09:51

This is very enlightening - I had thought I was weird for not liking tongues. Well I may be weird, but apparently not very unusual. Actually I can't be a'ed with any physical contact at all at the moment. It may be a display of affection but it just feels like yet another demand on me and my time. 2 teenage boys and a 90 year old mother, not to mention dh. Ho hum....

evansmummy · 13/10/2005 11:24

plantaholic, IKEWYM. Can't be bothered with any sort of intimate physical contact. I s'pose I wouldn't mind a snog, but it always seems to imply more, which I hate. Too tired to even consider anything else tbh...

paolosgirl · 13/10/2005 11:26

We still do - usually (but not always) when things are hotting up. We also still hold hands in public!

oy · 13/10/2005 15:21

really don't know where many of you are coming from. we have been married 18 years, blessed with 2 boys(12 and 3 years old), and still have the energy for a good snog, but only if i check to see the label is still attached to my ankle. label reads 'if found please return to ----home address'
full details can be supplied to whoever is interested

ScrewballMuppet · 13/10/2005 16:12

Still do what? the kissing or the other thing very embarassed talking to dh about it the other thing...plus it usually goes in one ear and out the other.
Why do men say they want more direction and when you tell them its like talking to a wall!
We've been married 9 years together 11, two boys 3 and 5. We kiss tongues and all but no tongue thrusting...teasing gently on the lips or on the underside of the tongue were its soft and silky. Would still like more kisses when we see each other after coming in from somewhere but we don't for some reason....always kisses when going though

cuddlymum · 14/10/2005 08:02

Great conversations! No DH and I don't do tongues very often any more in fact can't even remember the last time.. I mean sometimes he forgets he has hands! We have been married 9 years but together a long time before and have 4 darlings. Oh we do make love (have done it at least 4 times before) but just find it sometimes too tiring!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 08:07

Me and DH still kiss with tongues yes! Ok, so we are probably young still, (23 and 27) but nothing better than a good snog!

Dont get the chance very often, its usually a few pecks before he goes to work, or i go out or whatever, but we do try to snog at least every other day!!!

HondaDream · 14/10/2005 08:08

I snog me DH all the time and I love it but sex, well after three kids it's gone down the pan, a bit far too infrenquent for my liking.

cuddlymum · 14/10/2005 08:12

I know someone who was snogging another girl I know in the pub maybe she just doesn't snog her dh! Maybe she can't make up her mind - and it was in front of dh! Funny couple!

scruffymum · 14/10/2005 08:21

you know the same person as me she tried to snog me once

hhhhenleyonthames · 14/10/2005 08:24

Scruffymum - you are not allowed to think of tongues or snogging or pubs - you are too busy putting your laundry away....

scruffymum · 14/10/2005 08:28

shit theres no where to go except to put my laundry away

Blondeinlondon · 14/10/2005 18:01

Right ladies it's the weekend
Get off mumsnet and get out there snogging!

kerry16 · 15/10/2005 13:57

My Husband and I have been married for three years, we have two babies, one aged 14months, the other 14 weeks, close together I know, but we couldn't be happier.
we kiss passionately all of the time, infront of the children, etc. Our little boy thinks its funny and says 'aah' he then toddles over for a joint cuddle.
Due to us being so busy with our two angels, running the house and working we have to make time for each other, even if it is just a quick cuddle and a kiss.
We make a point of kissing passionately before saying goodbye in the mornings, when returning in the evening, before we go to sleep and whenever else the mood may take us!!!

Racers · 16/10/2005 19:34

Happy to report Racers is feeling better, much better muhahahhahaaaaa

Pip · 19/10/2005 23:49

Gentle kissing with tongues is nice, slow, soft kissing but I hate that tongue kissing where the tongue goes round and round like a cement mixer. Urgh. Reminds me of being a teenager again...
