Do you still kiss with tongues?

Have been marriee 9 years and had 2 babies - 2.5 y. o. and 4 months. We used to kiss, then it was just when we made love and then that stopped. I miss it and told my husband so. He said that he liked it but had forgotten it. I feel quite shy even talking to him about it and would prefer he didn't do it if he didn't like it. Do you still do it?

It's not very dirty but still...

Stuff you'd like to do and where, what bits of each other you like etc - all very tame I'm sure but gives us a giggle

auntymandy · 11/10/2005 10:49

god I love snogging!!
Tell DH all the time and often grab him and snog him and I'm nearly 40!! Dont let it die!

Racers · 11/10/2005 10:55

Good for you auntymandy - you do better than me!
Sorry, I'm hijacking again, but the thread got me thinking. Holding hands - I think it's lovely to see pensioners holding hands and I often say to dh I hope that's us, but then we often don't do it even now - too busy carrying bags/pushing pram I suppose. What about anyone else?

projectmanagerCOd · 11/10/2005 10:59

hc as she hoovered?

skinnycow · 11/10/2005 11:01

completely off the topic of kissing but in keeping with loss of inhibitions yesterday my MIL told me dh had a mug of tea in the "bollocks" mug (someone bought it as a jokey gift and its kept (not sure why) at the back of the cupboard). IMO it was completely unnecessary and I think she's trying to be cool

projectmanagerCOd · 11/10/2005 11:01

show off!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 11/10/2005 11:12

my mum has got Really uninhibited since she was widowed. it's her age I think. day after my dad's funeral I found her hoovering and sobbing and I asked what was wrong and she said "I'm never going to have sex again am I??"
now, what do you say to that?

Buffy

You should have said don't you worry mother, I will buy you a nice rabbit.

Mytwopenceworth · 11/10/2005 11:13

yuk yuk yuk

never have never will, makes me feel ill just thinking about it!

tongues in own mouths only please!

it is a personal gross-out of mine!!

buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 11/10/2005 11:13

yes that would keep her company wouldn't it

Lonelymum · 11/10/2005 11:17

Ooh I feel quite pleased here as usually I feel love has died between dh and me when I compare us to some of you and your passionate love making six times a day etc. Yes we still use tongues when kissing but mainly only during love making.

Funnily enough, I miss the casual kiss in the morning and when he comes home from work. That is what has stopped in our house.

Lonelymum · 11/10/2005 11:19

And to answer Racers, we hold hands on the rare occasions when we go out without the kids, but not usually with them. It is like you say, you spend the whole time pushing prams, pushchairs, holding on to little ones etc. I am sure if you want to hold hands later on in life, you will start doing it again.

buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 11/10/2005 11:23

mtpw - never?? ever ever??? not even behind the bike sheds?

MassacreOHara · 11/10/2005 11:24

Yes we kiss with tongues, more often than not. Always hold hands and cuddle in fact if we are together we are usually touching in one way or another. Even if it's only legs over each other or one of us snuggled up to the other whilst we watch TV. This morning we woke up holding hands... ahhhh

Mytwopenceworth · 11/10/2005 11:29

buffy. it was attempted on me once, and it made me puke. i literally heaved and retched it was the most disgusting thing to feel someone elses wet slimy tongue trying to shove itself in my mouth! It makes my stomach turn even now just thinking about it!

So no. never ever ever.

Racers · 11/10/2005 11:29

oo I love waking up still holding hands! Usually is in the night and I need to turn over to get comfy but it is soooo lovely!

CreepyJess · 11/10/2005 11:36

But MTPW.. do you think the tongue-thrusting person could perhaps have been doing it a bit wrong? Not that there is a right or wrong way to kiss.. but 'tongue thrusting' does not sound very appealing.. I was kissed like this once (when I was about 15!) and it was yuck.. But a lovely snog avec 'frenchies' performed with a little more expertise.. and with someone who fancy.. can be very yummy!

MassacreOHara.. PML.. love the halloween name

Mytwopenceworth · 11/10/2005 11:40

but it's someone elses wet, slimy, greasy, saliva covered germy tongue in your mouth!!!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate it is what most people do, and fair play to them, but personally, it is like sucking a slug.

gingerbear · 11/10/2005 11:42

Only with DD

doormat · 11/10/2005 11:44

of course

Nemo666 · 11/10/2005 11:45

depends on the mood General see you soon/later/tonight is just a lips kiss but for other then yes..lol

frannykenstein · 11/10/2005 11:50

I don't think we do it very often, but we must do it a reasonable amount, because ds will occasionally grab me and say "I want to give you a tonguey one Mummy, like Daddy does." !

CreepyJess · 11/10/2005 11:56

Described like that, MTPW, I can quite see your point!! (But it doesn't actually feel like that.. you can do it with just a little bit of tongue.. and the other person doesn't have to suck on it! )

Mytwopenceworth · 11/10/2005 12:01

if my dh DARED to stick his tongue in my mouth, I'd bite it off!!

In fact, anything you stick in my mouth you're not getting back!!!

BlondeinLondon · 11/10/2005 12:14

yeah we still kiss with tongues
not as much as we used to though

RTKMonherBROOMSTICK · 11/10/2005 12:17

Mytwopenceworth love the "slug sucking"
