Just caught up with this FF. Sorry to hear what's happened with the boyf, but think you are right. There is no point tolerating something that you are not happy with at this stage. If he can't pull his finger out now, he certainly isn't going to do it as the relationship progresses.
Sorry its gone pear-shaped. However at least it sounds like you are in control and making decisions about your own life as opposed to being on the receiving end.

Nightynight · 04/10/2005 12:26

sorry to hear that fairyfly.

cupsnakes · 04/10/2005 12:42

Sounds like a really brave decision on your part, fairyfly. Must have been a very hard conversation to have.

mancmum · 04/10/2005 12:54

Wow FF I so admire your courage and strength to do this -- can not giveyou any advice but just think you deserve the best and I sincerely hope you get it...

suzywong · 04/10/2005 13:10

What the F?????????/

get yourself on MSN

hocuspocusdiplodocus · 04/10/2005 13:13

Oh fairyfly I'm really sorry. Bugger.

suzywong · 04/10/2005 13:16

just read all this and fio and the others are right, let the dust settle xxx

marthamoo · 04/10/2005 13:16

Oh sweetie, you are really a rather remarkable woman, you know that? Lots of r's in that.

His loss. Honestly, his loss.

fairyfly · 04/10/2005 17:02

Anorak i kind of understand where your coming from but to be honest he does make and effort and plans, just not a week in advance. Not even for himself.

I'm thouroughly depressed, it has been so hard not to contact him today. i was checking my phone constantly.

I'm not bothered about meeting anyone, i just had this relationship as i loved him already and it was safe.

Thanks all, (lovely thing to say marthamoo, you can be my agent)

Sorry FF, I was just telling you what happened to me in case it was relevant in any way. I'm not saying your bf is like my ex. Just that if he really is a commitment phobe then you won't get anywhere however nice he is in other ways. I guess the thing is to establish whether in fact he really is or not, or whether it's too soon to expect it.

Whatever happens I just want you to be happy. You deserve it.

fairyfly · 04/10/2005 19:30

Sorry Anorak, im just in a stinking mood, thanks x

I miss you, i miss you, i miss you

Just typing it here because i keep picking up my phone. Phones should be automatically taken off people by the police when going through a break up. Would save a lot of embarassment.

Oh FF, I can remember that feeling of wanting him so much.

I hope it hurts less soon.

CousinItH · 04/10/2005 21:22

Suspect he will be missing you too, sweetheart.

Don't suppose that helps though.

fairyfly · 04/10/2005 21:23

Thanks, i'm ok, just the longest time i haven't spoken to him and it is hard work keeping ones rather large mouth shut.

spookymoo · 04/10/2005 21:24

I used to get pissed in clubs and say it to the walls in the toilets - "I love him! I want him back!" MN is far less embarrassing - at least you can't walk out of the cubicle to find strange women gazing at you pityingly.

fairyfly · 04/10/2005 21:27

I'll save that for the weekend Moo

fairyfly · 04/10/2005 21:39
