I'm Mouse, one of the passengers on this wonderful journey to sobriety! Smile

We are a real mixed bunch of people, all trying to control or give up the booze - ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Come meet the others.........

And here are the previous threads, the journeys so far

Hiya Red, am feeling strangely content today for no apparent reason, how are you doing?

RedMoomin · 19/01/2011 11:33

I am OK today desire the best thing would be if it was 5pm and I could get home to DP. I know that's sickening but I still want to be with him all the time Blush Unfortunately I need to meet X-DH this evening to sign some forms

God I sound pathetic!!

desiretochange · 19/01/2011 12:32

Had you been drinking when you rang him Zany? or did you have a particular reason for ringing him?

RedMoomin · 19/01/2011 12:57

Afternoon silver and zany. I hope that you are both OK. Sorry to hear you're feeling down zany

algee · 19/01/2011 13:18

so

algee · 19/01/2011 13:21

oops.
started to type then decided no to but posted my firsttwo letters anyway. woefully ill informed of the goings on in everyones lives, but glad the threads are still going and offering support to the many of us alchoholics. can't keep up, so will continue to duck in sparodically. Whiskey craving still full on today, don't know why, but I will not be drinking.
Moomin...can't live far from you now, in fact I think I was in your town only two weeks ago.
All the rest of you I remember from the olden days, hello...

algee · 19/01/2011 13:23

and hello to all the people I don't 'know' too. Crikey, this is what i mean about not keeping up, can't even say 'hello' properly.

algee · 19/01/2011 13:29

'alcoholics' and 'sporadically'!
i'll leave you alone now...

Zanywany · 19/01/2011 13:32

I had 2 glasses of wine thats all. He rang me the other day and I got so annoyed with his attitude I put the phone down (childish I know) I have been trying to call him back since as I felt bad but he has been playing games not answering the phone (a trait of his).

Feel a bit better this morning thanks.

Anyway onwards and upwards

Hello algee and welcome back

I have a date on Saturday afternoon (unless he cancels due to lack of interest on my part. lol)

Anonymousbird · 19/01/2011 13:52

Hello ladies.
Other than money worries (a constant issue) feeling quite positive about life generally today. Maybe the sun coming out has helped!! Need to get to Tuesday, then things ease a little (only a little!) on the financial side. Very tight belts for February (and March, April...... ). I am at least sleeping, though DH did confess a couple of days ago that he thinks he is fitful at night due to worrying about the finances...

Very easily (phew) didn't drink last night, so on Day 8 now.

Hello Algee - don't think we've met, I'm new.

desiretochange · 19/01/2011 14:10

Zany hope you don't think I was getting at you for drinking, just know that I do stuff like that when I have been drinking, apologies if I offended you.

Zanywany · 19/01/2011 14:19

No offense at all Desire drunken phone calls/texts are my speciality [grin}

RedMoomin · 19/01/2011 14:21

algee just dip in and out as much as it suits you. If you prefer to chat off the thread then send me a personal message and we can chat there. Just glad to have you back onboard!

RedMoomin · 19/01/2011 14:22

desire and zany God, I hate that moment when I have to check my call log and realise that I have subjected someone like my gran to 30 minutes of drivel! Grin

Mouseface · 19/01/2011 15:03

Red - can't reply to your PM for some reason but yes Grin

Hello all,

how are you all this afternoon, am I in time to say hi, red?

Well, I've just been trying to sort out a meal plan for the next few days so that I don't have to think about it anymore, I'm not getting very far though. Seeing how I have just had my car insurance, MOT and tax (how did I manage to have them all in the same month?), I think we should be on bowls of gruel Smile.

I seem to have run right out of ideas for tasty and interesting dinners. Dh does most of the cooking at the weekend, although I do the planning, buying and preparing Hmm. Any ideas anyone?
