whimsy · 26/09/2005 07:37

Very happy here, been together 14 years, married for 7. Two beautiful boys

LadyTophamHatt · 26/09/2005 07:49

Happy?

Yes, I am. Very happy.
Married 6.5 years.

We met 10 years ago on holiday then spent 3 years travelling up and down the country to see eachother.
We both put a lot of effort into making this work in the early days and it's been worth every mile.

He let me buy a new buggy at the weekend so I really Really love him now

ssd · 26/09/2005 07:49

very happy too! been together 13 years, married for 9 years, 2 lively(!) boys!

Janbo25 · 26/09/2005 08:11

I am too, been together 7 years and been married 2, still very happy!

Hulababy · 26/09/2005 08:15

I am too! We met at school when we were 16 - in 1990. Been together ever since, despite 5 years at different unis. Got married in 1998; had DD in 2002. We celebrated 7 years of marriage this summer. Still very very happily married

Jenum71 · 26/09/2005 08:23

Wanted to add to!

Been together for 12 years, married 2! Have 2 lovely boys aged 6 and 3.

Can tell my DH anything and he wont laugh or get angry. He is my soulmate and I dont know what I would do without him.

We have never argued - we have got on each others nerves at times but never argued!

Secret of sucess imho is laughing lots!

triceratops · 26/09/2005 08:33

I am happily married. We have been married 10 years and have lived together for 16. I worked out that by next year I will have spent longer with my dh than I did with my parents . We look forward to being old together. We have one ds (3) and one dd due in a fortnight.

I have single friends who have a different lifestyle but I wouldn't exchange places with them for the world.

beatie · 26/09/2005 08:38

Oh yes - definitely. Only been together 4 years and married for 2 but we are so easy in each other's company. I've never been able to spend so much time with a person and not get irritated.

Frizbe · 26/09/2005 08:47

me!

flamebat · 26/09/2005 09:23

Very happy! Only got married in May, but been together 6 years before that.

sansouci · 26/09/2005 09:26

yes, happy on the whole.

feel a little wistful sometimes that i'll probably never fall madly in love again & go through that wonderful torture. still, can't complain as i certainly played the field before commiting myself to dh.

Enid · 26/09/2005 09:28

hoooooooooonk

logic · 26/09/2005 09:41

Go away Enid, only happy thoughts here :-))

Fio2 · 26/09/2005 09:47

yes thanks

MrsSpoon · 26/09/2005 09:53

Terrified to post in case this ends up something like the curse of Hello magazine.

Will have been married 10 years in about three weeks time, went out for two years prior to that. I wouldn't change it!

dejags · 26/09/2005 09:57

I am pretty happy. He can be a PIA at times but he is my best friend, a wonderful father and he still makes me laugh. I am happiest when it's just me, DH and the kids.

He also puts up with my really weird sense of humour, which deserves a medal in its own right.

eidsvold · 26/09/2005 11:35

yes - been together 4 years and married for 4 years come November. got together and married and had dd1 - in a short space of time - been through the birth of a child with sn, said child's two open heart surgeries, moved to the other side of the world to start again at a better life for dd1 and dd2. Just recently learnt dh had a heart condition and despite some tough times - love each other to bits - can't imagine life without him

LadyTophamHatt · 26/09/2005 13:00

dejags....

"I am happiest when it's just me, DH and the kids. "

I feel exactly the same.

"He also puts up with my really weird sense of humour, which deserves a medal in its own right."

it's exactly the same again except it's me putting up with his wierd sense of humour

blueteddy · 26/09/2005 18:38

Ahhh, nice to hear so many people are so happy!
