Hi I am venus and I am an alcoholic.

Thanks to the first thread by Jesuswhatnow I have not had a drink for a long time.

There are lots of us on here, please lurk, post, whatever does it for you. If you are worried about how much you drink and your inability to stop when you want to, then someone on here can probably understand.

OP posts:
MIFLAW · 17/11/2010 12:44

PS WRT how much you are drinking - if you are on more than, say, a bottle of spirits a day, then you might want to think about getting sedatives and/or anti-convulsants from your doctor to manage phyiscal side effects and prevent fitting.

In which case, go to your doctor's NOW. Do NOT use this as an excuse to delay. THIS IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE THINGS IN HAND.

Desire you cheeky lady, I've yet to hoover & mop my new wooden floors. They do look very lovely but I had forgotten what a bore mopping floors is.

Ma no apology needed my love, just glad you are feeling stronger today.

RedMoomin · 17/11/2010 13:00

Wonderful, wise words from MIFLAW there. Bit of a kick up the backside for me too.

Hello ma glad you are feeling a bit better today.

Remember that your hangover will start around dinner time.

Try and stay hydrated lovely and maybe some toast later? Just to keep something in your stomach.

RedMoomin · 17/11/2010 14:51

mouse some sort of super-hold-you-in-pants I think!

Whitenapteen · 17/11/2010 15:08

mouse
Spanx here www.spanx.com/home/index.jsp

Think Bridget Jones - look good but not romantic!

Also dip in to JK occasionally and am always gobsmacked - but it helps get the ironing done.

Hope Nemo is having a comfortable day.

Mouseface · 17/11/2010 15:13

Do you know, those Spanx are just the thing I need currently!

I appear to be aquiring an extra stone or three my winter coat. Luckily, DH is a snuggler and likes to get 'hold' of something in bed! Grin

Nemo is ok thank you for asking, still FULL of a cold, very grizzly but ok. Smile

dementedma · 17/11/2010 15:17
