Nager · 30/10/2010 21:28

yes, sometimes great, sometimes awful, mostly just rub along together-I am interested in other people's relationships and what keeps you together- I think I just have realistic expectations but have often wondered if I just have low expectations.

tigerchilli · 30/10/2010 21:31

horMOANSnomore · 30/10/2010 21:44

I was married for 33 years, now separated.

It does pass quickly, especially when you have children to focus on.

Just wish I hadn't put up with all the crap for so long though.

pranma · 30/10/2010 21:49

Yes-22 years to a truly wonderful man-widowed before that after 16 years and divorced before that after 3 pretty miserable years.
3rd time lucky for me :)

commeuneimage · 30/10/2010 21:55

First 20 years were good - or so I thought. In the 21st he had an affair and the divorce came through just after our 23rd anniversary.

20 years isn't that long really. I met someone recently whose parents had been married for 70 years.

So I reckon I could still fit in another couple of 20-year marriages...

Polgara2 · 30/10/2010 22:00

yes, 30 years here as well Smile

aristocat · 30/10/2010 22:02

yes, me too together 26 years now - it has always been good

dementedma · 30/10/2010 22:04

25 years together, 23 of them married. Too long.

strawberry17 · 30/10/2010 22:19

Just done 21 years, met at 19, married at 21 we're now both 42 so that's half our lives together, two sons, hard work in parts but a lot of fun along the way as well.Smile

bellavita · 30/10/2010 22:23

Meeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Been married for 24 years next June, and have been together in total just over 28. We met a couple of months before I was 17.

NannyPatsSausagePlait · 30/10/2010 22:24

Yes been with him 23 years, married for 11.

He's like my right arm

have ALMOST got him trained up to my exacting standards....

bellavita · 30/10/2010 22:24

Oh and we have two lovely lovely boys 13 and 11 and yes some of it has been hard but we love each other to bits.

SuzieHomemaker · 30/10/2010 22:27

We've been together about 24 years (we met as students so the details are a bit blurry). Now been married 19 years with three DCs. It's a partnership. We are in it together and I wouldnt have it any other way.

smugmumofboys · 30/10/2010 22:29

Met and started going out together at university. Together now for 22 years, married for 13.

It is hard work at times. His fuckwittery bothers me on occasion as does my fishwifery him, I'm sure.

But we've got this far without too much drama and have produced two gorgeous boys.

asdx2 · 30/10/2010 22:30

Been married 22 years, not particularly happily. Sitting it out until the kids are grown up I think.
He'd do it all over again, I wouldn't turn up if I'm honest.
