Brave Battling Babes - Booze No More!!

Mouseface · 30/07/2010 23:47

Well, thanks to the refreshingly honest and inspirational JesusWhatNext - this is the third thread, for the battle to beat the booze for all of those who are on the path to do so.

Some are sober, some are trying to be and some are still drinking.

I'm Mouse, I'm new to this and I'm scared. So, come and join the journey.

Did frank ever come back? goingtobe? iam? ido? Anyone else!!

At least they know where we are and will be back if/ when they need to. (That's what we always say at AA if someone disappears!)

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 16:24

Aw, look at cat and mouse rolling around on the floor!

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 16:35

Moomin!!

I love the cat & mouse thing.

No, Frank hasn't been back, or the others. But as you say, we're here if they do!!

Can I ask Moomin, is your name from The Moomins?

I loved that as a kid.

And Chorlton & The Wheelies - 'ello little old lady'

Marvellous!

catinboots · 04/08/2010 16:35

Mouse - I CAN NOT walk up and down stairs! AM going to do it again tonight though. Apparently it's better to carry on so you don't seize up.. Jillian a bitch?? That's putting it mildly. She's a motherfucking fitness terrorist... Deffo took away my urge for a drink though!!

catinboots · 04/08/2010 16:38

Moomin - you can be the lady with the sturdy legs who tells Cat and Mouse off

MoominMags · 04/08/2010 16:41

I love watching the Biggest Loser USA!!! (I normally do so while stuffing a Double Decker or cheese and crackers down my neck ) I would be too scared to attempt a Jillian DVD!

Moomin is a nickname I call my cat! And I was struggling to think of a nickname for MN and desperately wanted to join JWN's thread and it's all that I could think of! (But I loved The Moomins too! Not familiar with the other programme!)

MoominMags · 04/08/2010 16:42

cat - I definitely have the legs for that role, tragically!

catinboots · 04/08/2010 16:45

Moomin - alas I also have those legs - inherited from my lovely mother. She calls them 'Working Class Legs' - even though she is not remotely working class!!

MoominMags · 04/08/2010 16:48

No matter how much weight I lose those legs stay the same. I call them footballers' legs! What I wouldn't give for a lovely ankle! On the other hand, I guess I have other, things to worry about!

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 16:49

Moomin - do you mean the lady in Tom & Jerry, the who yells 'Thhhhhhoooomaaassssss!'

I lover her, she's ace so shout away. Well, at me anyway scurrying all over your kitchen and falling into your flour!

MoominMags · 04/08/2010 16:51

mouse - that's the one! (Very impressed you found flour in my kitchen to be honest!)

It's nearly time for me to go Babes. Have safe, sober and serene evenings everyone!! Looking forward to the catch up tomorrow. Thanks for all the chat today!

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 17:01

algee

here

I have it in DVD form, as does CTS IIRC.

It is hell, pure hell. But I need to gently tone up. Why I'm doing this I have no idea!!!

TrinityRhino · 04/08/2010 17:10

CAT well done

BIG FUCKING WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

venusandmars · 04/08/2010 17:17

I'm off out now. Congratulations Cat, that is something wonderful to look forward to. How are you planning to celebrate? An ENORMOUSE ice-cream perhaps?

See you later on tonight.

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 17:20

See you later venus, bye Moomin.

Trinity, how's the cleaning gone?

ChristianaTheSeventh · 04/08/2010 17:42

Hi, I'm on Day 10 of 30 day shred, well I have day 10 to do later. It's brilliant. Will do it later. It really helps me because the idea of doing it on the remotest little hangover is just hell.

I am definitely getting more toned.

Just made some brownies, and tomato and roasted pepper soup.

I am so worried about my interview, I just have a really bad feeling. My anxiety levels were so high before hand that I really don't want to have to go through that all again. I know I'm being ridiculous and over thinking everything.

Cat I'm really really pleased for you! Honestly! I am! You must be so delighted. Well done you!

ChristianaTheSeventh · 04/08/2010 17:50

I want wine

Mouseface · 04/08/2010 17:51

CTS

STOP IT OR I SHALL FALL OUT WITH YOU!!!!

(not really but hope that works for a minute or two)

Worrying will change nothing. Please stop, you'll drive yourself nuts.

OP posts:
ChristianaTheSeventh · 04/08/2010 17:54

I know I know. I shouldn't think about it. I shouldn't think about the next interview either if I have to do one for another job. I just can't bear how I do worry, how I panic, my anxiety attacks that cause me to faint/ throw up/ grrrrr I am just despising myself.

Will go and tidy up more

But I want wine. I really think that it would stop me worrying.

MIFLAW · 04/08/2010 18:05

"But I want wine. I really think that it would stop me worrying."

Well, if that's what you really want, and you honestly believe it will work, then I say, go for it.

Make sure you buy enough and don't stop till you've finished both bottles.

Probably wise to get a third just in case you run out - don't want to be stumbling to the off-licence at 9.55pm, do you? Especially not if there would be a risk of not getting served at that point because oyu have already drunk too much. I mean - imagine the shame of that!
