Radio 2 drive time - any idea of new presenter?

I was listening to radio 2, and unless I’ve missed it, they’ve still not announced who’s taking on the drive time slot from Sara Cox’s move to breakfast. Given they announced her move to breakfast in April, you’d hope they already know by now who’s got the gig.

Has anyone heard rumours? Seems excessive length of time they’ve had fill-ins. Surely someone must have been offered it by now!

I would love Greg James, he's getting too old for Radio one now, please not Richie Anderson, he seems like a lovely chap but stick to the travel.

I don’t think he’s ready for R2. However, he is trying very hard to stay relevant on the morning show. Love Clara too. And Mollie and Matt. Mollie’s laugh would cheer anybody up being stuck in a car driving home

I do wonder why Adele hasn't got another BBC radio slot since she left R1. She was so good. Clara too, although I think she's more into TV now.

Yep adult bibs today. She is very funny and a perfect sidekick for Matt or him for her.
Clara is just so beautiful…she deserves to be seen. Always remember the first time I listened to her on R1, she’d gotten her curls stuck in the underground cabin door. And then her talking about how her dad died only two weeks after she got the R1gig. Some things just stick with you. I loved her ever since.

Do Angela Scanlon is another tv presenter rather than music background person. I do think she’s got a lovely voice, am not sure what sort of music she’s going to be leaning towards.

Yes- they do! They have a general guide for regular played ones, but then can fill around that to their choice.
