Thank you, @PseudoBadger, for kicking off this long, long series of Archers threads.

All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you'd love a couple of acquaintances to clean and tidy your house without your permission, or other unusual views.

What do we think - best Christmas ever followed by a nice quiet New Year? No, me neither. We have the tractor run to look forward to , and then whatever they've got lined up for the 75th anniversary of the first ever episode - New Year's Day 1951. I can't imagine that anybody involved with the programme then expected it would still be on the air 75 years later. I wonder what they would make of the current direction. The lack of farming content would be a surprise, given that was the whole reason for devising the programme in the first place.

Yeah I didnt mean thats exactly how I picture him, more the posing with muscles flexed in his farrier gear 😆 I think Chris is tall with light brown hair, bit wavy and scruffy. Definitely not loads of tattoos, he's too sensible

As well as the matching tattoos he and Alice had done in Vegas (which I don't remember at all), Chris had a tattoo of the Tenniel Alice ("from Alice through the Looking Glass" as he explained to Kenton) put on his arm, in 2009. This inspired Kenton to get his first (and possibly only) tattoo done, by the same artist.

There are six extra 5 minute episodes on Thursday, as well as the other two after The Archers at 7pm of course.

@AskingQuestionsAllTheTime , IIRC Chris and Alice had each other's name tattooed on the ankle instead of exchanging rings.

Spoilers? - only perhaps the cast list, but I think this is forgiveable as we have a crystal-clear idea from this post of when the mini-episodes will be broadcast.

There were no episode spoilers but if Molly Button is talking on the radio on NYD it's fairly obvious that she won't have been dedded.

I had no idea. I will be with my parents but will endeavour to catch them.

I can't see any spoilers. Has MN done a silent edit? I don't see a problem with a post alerting the non-spoiler people that there are a lot of extra episodes they might not have known about. Hope nobody goes over this! We may need to cling to each other for support.

I do agree with the comment that if they were going for a full 180 on George it would have been more believable if he had done something to Keira. Even something relatively minor would have worked.

Brown-with-grey, because she won't use hair-dye on the grounds that it isn't vegan. Even though some is.

I'm fine with a tattoo but not all over like the man in the instagram pictures referred to above. Swfarrier

She might use henna.

Does anyone know when the extra episodes will be broadcast?.... don't see anything on BBC sounds.
