All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed. We don't all agree on all points and most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you lust after Russ, or other unusual things.

For the thread title I was very tempted to go with @R4's title suggestion of Come follow the exploits of Brine, Lily, Elizabeth, Usha, Ruari, George and Helen. Know collectively as bleurgh. because on the last thread @DadDadDad, our invaluable statistician, identified a post from @ILoveShula as the 125,000th. Many of us felt it was fitting that the post simply said Bleurgh!.

However, feeling that was a bit niche for the casual listener, I adapted @MayIDestroyYou's title suggestion in the end. Thanks, MIDY!

Back to Ambridge this week, after our enjoyable sojourn at Lower Loxley last week! Will we go with Alice to rehab? (Hope not.) Will the petulant Adam make good his threat to leave Home Farm? (Hope so.) What will Jennifer say? (Lots, I hope, and preferably to Brian.) Will the fete be a triumph? (Of course it will.) Will we ever return to Brookfield, or have they all fallen unnoticed into the slurry pit? (Let's hope Pip did, anyway.) WHERE IS PAT? (Can't answer this one.)

Brava June Spencer ('nother exclamation). I know her self-excoriation sounded a bit too scripted - but "She's 102, you know." Pretty damn impressive.

Usually I like Aldridge sorority get-togethers - but all the "I'm goin' rahn there righ' now to smash 'er teef frew 'er 'ead." was, well, a bit imported. And unconvincing.

Also, if I were off to rehab my sibling would not be turning up all cheerful and huggy, to help me pack. They'd be on FB bad-mouthing me ...

That apology was MOST unexpected. At some point is Alice going to think about her late grandfather and ask more questions about how he met his end?

I can't believe Kate will just meekly take Alice's request to say nothing to Peggy. Or at least, no longer than it takes for Alice to be in the car, whichever way she's travelling to rehab.

I enjoyed that episode. It had structure. So BOOP for that and anti BOOP for utterly ridiculous Peggy being made to say “I don’t know why I think I’m so much better than other people”. I could almost hear the scriptwriter tapping away with glee writing that!

Hmm ... I believe that other, long gone poster was only responsible for three quarters of the first half of the title. It was our Excellent and Esteemed Thread Starter who undertook the greater part of the imaginative labour. We humbly thank her.

High praise! I passed Jack Dee once at a school event and unthinkingly said hello to him as he was so familiar I was thinking we knew each other. He didn't respond.

Ouch! This is one reason I'm glad I've abandoned most SM. Too many times I greeted someone enthusiastically - stupid brain thought I knew them because I followed them on Twitter. Sooo many stony-faced responses.

What a lovely conversation between Fallon and Lynda. BOOP for that.

It's even inspired a meme or some such: #eatytalky, I think. Something of the sort, anyway. Though that was because of David, who at one point hardly seemed able to speak except when he had his mouth full.
