Remember, please do not post anything you read on this thread on The Archers discussion thread. That is wrong, bad, naughty!

BoreOfWhabylon · 14/11/2017 07:09

Oh dear. Looks like that's it then Sad. Thanks Gruach

And thanks Gump for all the updates.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/11/2017 07:45

Oh! I did hope we might hear him again. Thanks, all, as ever for all the spoilers.

On another note, I see he is posting from Lewisham. Will keep my eyes peeled for a sighting, as that's my area (broadly).

Gruach · 14/11/2017 08:39

Citizen's arrest?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 14/11/2017 10:03

Grin I could certainly envisage flinging myself upon him ...

AuldHeathen · 14/11/2017 16:20

That does sound rather decisive. Sad

Radio Times
26 November to 1 December

Invitations to Justin and Lilian's wedding are landing on doormats around Borsetshire, but not everyone is overjoyed by the prospect of the upcoming nuptials. Elizabeth is flat-out at Lower Loxley with preparations for the big day – but seeking answers to some of her questions proves difficult, what with the bride-to-be having gone to ground.

At Brookfield, David and Ruth are puzzled that Pip is reluctant to move into Rickyard cottage, despite the offer of rent-free accommodation. Could new boyfriend Alfie be the reason for Pip’s reluctance?

And the Grundy’s are on the war path, accusing Rex of copying their promotional idea to boost turkey sales.

-----------------
New boyfriend Alfie - that was a surprise.
No Alfie in cast list btw, and no mini spoilers on Radio 4 website or digiguide as of just now.

So, as there has to be a wedding*, will Justin and Lilian enjoy an eleventh hour reconciliation on the threshold of LL??

(*They're doing everything to throw dust in our eyes, it all looks hopeless - but they can't possibly have another failed ceremony ...)

Bekabeech · 22/11/2017 06:25

Are the invitations arriving on mats?
Thanks for the post Gump!

Ceto · 24/11/2017 12:11

I don't understand why the wedding is still on, even theoretically. Chucking your fiancée out of the house amidst accusations of infidelity isn't normally viewed as a precursor to marrying her.

Gumpendorf · 24/11/2017 16:40

Digiguide has updated to 8th Dec but no mini spoiler for 3 Dec. R4 website is tantalisingly silent about the whole week.

24 Nov. Peggy is left horrified, and Adam takes the initiative.

26 Nov. Brian has a reputation to protect, and Ian is feeling fancifully festive.
27 Nov. Jennifer learns something shocking, and Rex finds himself out of favour.
28 Nov. Noluthando has some tough love for Freddie, and Lexi is full of encouragement.
29 Nov. Alan does some award-worthy buttering up, and David puts his foot in it.
30 Nov. Lilian has an unlikely heart to heart, and Emma is on tenterhooks.
1 Dec. Justin has a big decision to make, and Pip confides in Elizabeth.

3 Dec. [Nothing available]
4 Dec. There is a shock in store for Ian, and Eddie hatches a plan.
5 Dec Jennifer is concerned, and Elizabeth imparts some advice.
6 Dec The panto rehearsal descends into chaos, and Lilian feels guilty.
7 Dec Lexi offers a shoulder to cry on, and Brian puts his foot in it.
8 Dec Lilian finally faces the truth, and Toby is forced to grow up.

Here's KD spoilering!

Fun thread Grin

AuldHeathen · 27/11/2017 15:16

I wonder what will shock Jenny this time. She often sounds shocked even when she’s not. Smile

Gumpendorf · 27/11/2017 18:33

Radio Times
3 - 8 December 2017

It’s all gone suspiciously quiet where Lilian‘s wedding plans are concerned. No surprise, really. The bride-to-be has had to face the consequences of her involvement with Matt. And then Justin gets a surprise when the police come calling. With speculation rife, the pair are finally forced into a decision over their nuptials, but what will the news be?

December is also an emotional time for the inhabitants of Lower Loxley with memories of Nigel coming to the fore as Elizabeth organises Deck the Hall. Elsewhere, the panto rehearsals are descending into chaos (naturally!), while Jim is invited to join Joe and Eddie for the first tasting of Tumble Tussock cider. We eagerly await the Prof’s verdict...

You have to admire David Brown managing to complete his word count every week and saying nothing! Grin

Radio 4 website update. Weirdly it jumps from 8th Dec to 17th Dec.

3rd Dec is still missing content and in Radio Times it just says ‘Life in Ambridge’. 🤔

19 Dec. Lynda puts her foot in it, while Emma treads carefully.

When is the wedding supposed to be?

MrsArthurShappey · 27/11/2017 22:34

Blimey what happens to Toby? And why do I care?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 27/11/2017 22:41

8 Dec Lilian finally faces the truth, and Toby is forced to grow up

17 Dec. Toby's life is changed forever, and Jennifer fears for her Christmas celebrations

Blimey.

Bekabeech · 28/11/2017 06:51

Yeap it sounds as though Toby has something dramatic coming, and he had started to sound as if he was growing up a bit recently. I’m just not sure I want life threatening injuries.
Is the Toby story related to the Matt one?

Gumpendorf · 28/11/2017 09:43

The wedding is 22 Dec, I think, when ‘it’s a day to remember for Lilian’ 🤔. Which you can take either way!

As for the rest,🙄

OP posts:
AuldHeathen · 28/11/2017 12:58

Toby’s life changes for ever. A Minipip is going to arrive in 8 months from now ..... They did have a shag a couple of weeks ago, didn’t they? Oh dear, l don’t think l can face it. Horrific prospect. What else could it be apart from a serious injury of some kind? We all know about the health fairy so that’s not so likely.

Ceto · 28/11/2017 13:02

Could the Toby thing be to do with the mysterious Brighton theme? Or has that disappeared completely?

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 28/11/2017 13:26

I did think of a Minipip but it isn't that dramatic is it?

And we had the Tom/ Kirsty unplanned pregnancy. I'm not sure Pip would go ahead with it anyway.

Gumpendorf · 28/11/2017 16:58

Don’t forget ‘Pip gives an ultimatum’ on 22nd 😉

OP posts:
AuldHeathen · 28/11/2017 22:01

You’re probably right, Lass.Ceto, wouldn’t it be good to get the Brighton link tied up! I don’t know, l’ll need to have another think. Smile
