I really hope Phoebe isn't pregnant - I liked yesterday's episode with 2 young woman sorting out contraception, and I hope that they're not going down the soapland route of women who don't want to get pregnant must get pregnant. Constantine or whatever his name is sounds like an absolute dick.

Not if you'very been throwing up constantly since taking it. Phoebe's been given a second one by the STI clinic, but she's not meant to take it until she reckons she can keep it down for at least 3 hours.

She didn't get carried away - she had it planned out! Nothing wrong with that but after all this contraception hoo haa I will be very disappointed if she does end up pregnant

Maybe it's a public service message about the MAP, reminding us of its window of use, where to obtain it, factors which might stop it working, and that it's not just pregnancy you should worry about. And once Phoebe's in the clear, we'll all move on.

Am in Italy so am relying on you lot rather than actually listening. Sorry to be thick but I take it phoebe is ill whilst taking MAP. If so I am highly irritated with this storyline and haven't even heard it yet.

Might this end up as a compare and contest with her mother and grandmothers first pregnancies? Feebs will go through with the pregnancy and keep up her studies and go on to a successful career, while being a better mother than Kate ever was? I've just listened to it. Yes she's been sick since taking the MAP BUT it could be 24hr bug that's been doing the rounds. That's according to the Sexual Health Clinic that Lexi took her to for a check up because apparently the gorgeous Konstantin is a 'naughty boy' puts it about

Who in the Archers has managed to have sex (whether protected or not) without consequences? Excluding long term couples whose sex lives we don't hear about.

Pip, Anisha and the Fairbrethren so far have.

Roy and Elizabeth didn't have pregnancy to deal with but had terrible consequences.

Kirsty obviously was punished twice.

Ruth and David a late unplanned and unhappily ending pregnancy.

Whatshername who was after Roy has but to the damage of her reputation.

The only relationship we hear of where sex is just for fun with no consequences or angst is Neil and Susan's although risk of pregnancy is not an issue.

And Mike and Vicky's Bethany has Down's syndrome. I get that Vicky at her age was more likely to have a Down's syndrome baby but was it necessary?

TheLass feeb's and her first boyfriend (the possessive one who didn't want her to go to Oxford) had planned sex in Jenny's house and apart from hypocritical Kate making a silly fuss about it, there were no consequences.

I think that Bethany is a good character, there aren't any other disabled people in TA. I'm not sure of the statistics but there can't be many villages like that. Of course Bethany doesn't live there any more! A bit odd really.
