So many possibilities.... A visit from the Titcheners Snr? Baby of the wrong gender? A ruined wedding? Re-housed Grundys? RuthRex?

And I know...Fallon's in the yard unloading her upcycled tat/choice pieces of antiquity but I want to HEAR her "discussions" with KNob.

JessieMcJessie · 27/11/2015 16:57

Elona was the Albanian carer of Jack and wife of HWMNBN. It was indeed an Amside house they lived in, think that Peggy either topped up the rent or persuaded Lilian to give a discount. There were certainly issues about taking charity I think.
I imagine the Grundies are not going to the council because all available flats are in Meadow Rise and that would be even worse for Joe than a home.

LillianGish · 27/11/2015 16:58

Much as I would love the Grundies to move back into Grange Farm, how unlikely is it that Caroline and Oliver would permanently relocate to Tuscany? I remember hoping when Marjorie Antrobus died that she would leave Roy and Hayley Nightingale Farm (or at least a bit of cash) since she had no family and Hayley had looked after her and they were struggling to find somewhere to live. The Grundies getting Grange Farm back strikes me as much more unlikely than that - even just as temporary custodians. Caroline and Oliver have had major work done to get it back up to scratch - is it really credible that they would want to Grundies to move in? I think the repercussions of the flood are really stretching the bounds of credibility - while a much more believeable storyline ie the culvert blocking seems to have fallen by the wayside. I don't want to Grundies to be homeless, but I need them to be rehoused in a credible way - I think in RL family would be stepping in to help until a more permanent solution could be found.

Gruach · 27/11/2015 17:03

It certainly is rather ridiculous when Will has a house standing empty which Ed and Emma have already offered to free up for the senior Grundys. I'm sure Neil and Susan would much prefer to accommodate Ed ++ for a little while longer rather than see Joe separated from the rest of his family.

squeaver · 27/11/2015 17:03

The Gs can't move into Grange Farm because Justin Elliot is going to buy it

GruntledOne · 27/11/2015 17:04

I thought it was only the liquid assets of Amside Matt ran off with - i.e. what was in the bank? Lillian still had the property, hence the fact that she was able to the business going and has something to live off.

PseudoBadger · 27/11/2015 17:32

Do you think the experienced, respected SWs, Keri Davies et al - agree that things ain't what they used to be? Is no one saying anything?!

Gruach · 27/11/2015 17:41

squeaver ... D'you think? I'm hoping SOC's selective adherence to the archives will see them reinstalled in the ancestral home for the 65th anniversary. Or at least before Joe shuffles.

BYOSnowman · 27/11/2015 17:51

When are Caroline and Oliver due back?

When does Lynda move back this freeing up Lillian's place? Isn't it quite big? Couldn't the grundys and snells share?

I hate the trope of working class pride stopping the grundys ever asking for anything. It's lazy sw to rely on that

Liar Liar Pants on Fire...

Stickerrocks · 27/11/2015 19:12

Strange sense of deja vu with my post. Sorry Trout, but great minds think alike!

yeOldeTrout · 27/11/2015 19:15

lol... How spectacular will be his downfall, from how many directions at once? Or will the SWs tease us for yrs to come.

Gruach · 27/11/2015 19:15

I will find him and ...

Stickerrocks · 27/11/2015 19:15

Double liar.

Toomuchtea · 27/11/2015 19:17

Whoever said Sam the cowman would return were, it seems, right.

phoebemac · 27/11/2015 19:19

It's starting to annoy me that Knob is managing to beguile every woman in Ambridge.Very unrealistic!

Imbroglio · 27/11/2015 19:26

Rob. You bastard.

But he's in trouble if Jennifer ever finds out when he spills the beans.

enochroot · 27/11/2015 19:40

Not able to listen tonight and now going to meet a train. What happened?

Stickerrocks · 27/11/2015 20:00

Rob has kept feeble little Helen at home while he struts his stuff at the hunt ball. He's tipped Justin off about Charlie's inadequacies and taken advantage of Jennifer's tipsiness to dig up more dirt on Adam. Jennifer begged him to be discrete when she realised what she had said.

outputgap · 27/11/2015 20:03

Yes, gruntled, Matt couldn't have sold the properties because everything was in Lillian's name due to him 'aving been in the slammer for fraud and that.

Why am I obsessed with Amside? Maybe because I cannot stand the inconsistency. So busy that 3 people could barely keep up, and now Lillian only has meetings with yoga teachers and the special wine cupboard in Jenny's kitchen. Feck.

GypsyFl0ss · 27/11/2015 20:26

I can't believe that JennyDarling would get so shit faced that she'd spill the beans on her golden boy Adam. What cobblers.

FinestGrundyTurkey · 27/11/2015 20:41

That's exactly what I thought, Gypsy

More plot driven cobblers ignoring true characters Angry

AnnieNoMouse · 27/11/2015 21:02

I'm a left-leaning, Guardian reading, anti-hanging, Corbyn-rather-liking, kind of person but
ROB MUST DIE
