So many possibilities.... A visit from the Titcheners Snr? Baby of the wrong gender? A ruined wedding? Re-housed Grundys? RuthRex?

Ah yes, SOC following in the great tv soap tradition of revolving sexual partners

enochroot · 24/11/2015 22:50

A pity Joe and his ferrets couldn't move in with Roy.

BYOSnowman · 24/11/2015 22:59

Is the divorce rate unabridged going to sky rocket under soc?

BitOutOfPractice · 25/11/2015 05:24

In fairness they've done the partner merrygoround before. Like the Sid-Kathy-Jolene-Kenton scenario.

BitOutOfPractice · 25/11/2015 05:25

And who is living in Mike and Vicky's half of the house now? No mention of that is there or did I miss that?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 25/11/2015 07:15

It was sold to silent people, BOOP.

BitOutOfPractice · 25/11/2015 07:46

That sounds rather sinister!

trevortrevorslatterfry · 25/11/2015 09:40

YY annie to Ruth finding solace in the friend's arms on her trip to NZ.

I think it was David's intonation but I do like the image of a "kiwi farmer".

They would probably just need a small puppy sheepdog to round up all the little kiwi fruit to bring them in for the winter.

NotdeadyetBOING · 25/11/2015 09:52

Riiiight…. So no one like Frilly, Feebs for starters will have ANY issue with Roy Lady Chatterly and her bit of rough doing some suggestive play acting then? PurLEASE!

enochroot · 25/11/2015 10:07

Hayley's going to make a pre-Christmas visit....
(Have they settled anything yet?)

NotdeadyetBOING · 25/11/2015 10:09

Yes - weird how we have heard precisely zilch on the Hayley/divorce front. Another plot line left to wither on the vine or about to be ramped up??!

BertrandRussell · 25/11/2015 10:12

And does Roy never see what's her name- the baby? Abbie?

Gruach · 25/11/2015 10:24

They have sometimes dropped into conversation that Roy visited Abbie at the weekend or whatever. I assume that's ongoing.

It's funny that all his family (apart from the Archer) ran away to Brum. Can we also assume that Mike, Vicky and Beth see Abbie quite often?

Gruach · 25/11/2015 10:26

(All his resident family. Waiting for Brenda is one of my main reasons for living ...)

Toomuchtea · 25/11/2015 10:55

Mike made that very brief reappearance being interviewed for some work at Berrow, but then dropped out of the plot again like a stone.

enochroot · 25/11/2015 11:02

Details are sadly lacking, as always.
Does Hayley own the house jointly? Should she be consulted before sub-letting, however loose the arrangement?

NotdeadyetBOING · 25/11/2015 11:05

I rather miss Hayley. She was a good egg.

Toomuchtea · 25/11/2015 11:12

I miss Hayley too. I did have a soft spot for Vicki too. Not quite as large as the one for Hayley, but it was there.

BYOSnowman · 25/11/2015 11:34

Hayley should be entitled to half the rent Roy receives surely?

FinestGrundyTurkey · 25/11/2015 12:32

Love your kiwi farming, scenario, trevor Grin

(Also autocorrect's mischief in BYOS's post at 22:59!)

squeaver · 25/11/2015 13:27

I miss Hayley AND Brenda AND Tom.

And I miss bloody Fallon who doesn't seem to be anywhere near the business she's supposed to be opening in a couple of weeks.

BYOSnowman · 25/11/2015 13:34

Just noticed finest! Very surprised ambridge isn't in my dictionary as soc and fairbrethren are!

ppeatfruit · 25/11/2015 14:26

Exactly Cuttedup about Roof's mid life crisis, a lot off people of both sexes have them.

Though I'm sure a kiwi farmer 'll do wonders for her Wink

I quite liked the twist of having Woy and Liz acting together in Cal Girls actually. Also Kirstie moving into his house. Unexpected but fun. Grin

BYOSnowman · 25/11/2015 14:35

I wouldn't call it a twist!

LyndaNotLinda · 25/11/2015 14:43

Did Fallon ever express any concern about Rob's redesign of the tea room? I'm very confused about the ownership of the caff - does it belong to BF and Fallon is managing it for them or have they sublet it to her? I thought the latter and then Rob was getting involved in the kitchen (WTF does he know about speccing kitchens of any persuasion given he doesn't appear to be able to cook?)

I loathed that intervention by Pip and David - so crass. And David is really bloody thick if he doesn't realise that setting Ruth up with a cuddly baby kiwi farmer is a shortcut to the end of his marriage.
