Sorry but I couldn't resist an opportunity for puns galore Grin

The next step will be him hitting her.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 02/10/2015 19:14

Damnit, she's told him and she's having it.... Just when he was quite clearly going to hit her.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 02/10/2015 19:15

Oh dear god, and now it has to be a boy??

Toomuchtea · 02/10/2015 19:16

Good grief. That was a horrible episode in so many ways.

Northernlurker · 02/10/2015 19:16

It's not just Helen who's feeling sick!

GypsyFl0ss · 02/10/2015 19:17

Rob has given me shivers down my spine.

enochroot · 02/10/2015 19:17

If she has a girl will he divorce her or behead her?

R4 · 02/10/2015 19:17

I loathe Ruth. OK, she's been bereaved but even so. Grrr.

Toomuchtea · 02/10/2015 19:17

Yes. That was all truly awful. Poor, poor Helen. They are setting it all up for an almighty collapse into Kirsty's arms.

Toomuchtea · 02/10/2015 19:17

Absolutely agree R4 about Ruth. Unfair on so many levels.

InimitableJeeves · 02/10/2015 19:18

Yes, it was horrible. Rob was certainly stepping it up in terms of the EA, and I suspect Helen wouldn't necessarily have told him about the pregnancy but for the fact that it was in effect the only way to stop him. And all that stuff about knowing it was a boy - it was really quite threatening.

InimitableJeeves · 02/10/2015 19:21

Ruth was so bloody irritating. She's acting as if her mother would have been immortal but for all the nonsense about the move. She also seems to forget that David specifically pointed out to her that HP might not survive the journey and she said that would be fine, at least she would know that she was doing the right thing.

It was also incredibly unfair to imply that neither David nor Jill understood how she felt. They had after all gone through the experience of both Phil and Nigel dying, so they know perfectly well what it feels like when it happens to someone close to you.

Eastpoint · 02/10/2015 19:23

I was in the car & had to change channel. Oh dear.

ppeatfruit · 02/10/2015 19:26

OMG I just listened and thought 'what are my mners going to say!!!Shock I don't need to add anything you've said it all. I was listening on't telly in stereo too effing 'ell!!!!

I'll excuse Roof she's overwrought, but it was very narc. of her. Poor Dave.

IorekByrnisonsArmour · 02/10/2015 19:26

Oh I missed it, just caught Helen darling. Sad

Anyone k ow when I'll be able to iplayer it?

enochroot · 02/10/2015 19:33

He's wrapping her in cotton wool and she'll let him because it keeps Evil Rob at bay.

Travelledtheworld · 02/10/2015 19:34

Tense. Horrible.
Poor Helen she is completely trapped now.
And bloody Ruth needs to shut up. Her mother died quietly and without pain and the last thing she knew she was singing along with her daughter on the way to her new home. That is great way to die.

campion · 02/10/2015 19:37

I was in the car too...and rolled my eyes. At Ruth.

Gripped the wheel when Rob was about to grab Helen menacingly.

How scary is he going to get?

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/10/2015 19:41

And we just know it will be a little Knoblette - wonder if Knob will want her to terminate when it shows up on the scan?

Gruach I also thought the ravishment was a Center Parcs moment.

R4 · 02/10/2015 19:55

Notice how Ruth says "you don't know what it's been like all these months while I've been pissing about organising up north". Then who was it got organised and found the funeral plan - oh yes, it was one of the teenage boys, not Ruth.
And how she claims that HP died cos of the uncertainty and the moving. But doesn't mind chucking Jill out.

MrsCampbellBlack · 02/10/2015 20:04

I reckon she'll miscarry and then Rob will blame her and turn even nastier.

LyndaNotLinda · 02/10/2015 20:09

Horrid, horrid episode. Poor Helen.

And I used to be a bit of a defender of Ruth but no more. She's behaved appallingly for bloody months.

Toomuchtea · 02/10/2015 20:10

That hadn't occurred to me, MrsCB, but I think that could very well happen.

lljkk · 02/10/2015 20:18

Something will be wrong with the baby or the pg, won't it, excuse for Rob to tighten his grip or abuse all the more.

LillianGish · 02/10/2015 20:19

He's wrapping her in cotton wool and she'll let him because it keeps Evil Rob at bay. ^^ This exactly. That is how they'll prolong the denouement. His reaction to Fallon was terrifying, but all forgotten now because he's being so lovely (in Helen's eyes). Great illustration in fact how a little bit of love and attention makes Helen forget all his faults. Also, presumably now Helen will be housebound - not allowed to see anyone or do anything. Knob will probably withdraw Fallon's offer and claim it was on Helen's orders and generally keep eveyone away from her.
