For me, that describes Ed. Some strange people think that it describes Jazzer.
Does it matter what they look like? We know and love their voices (except you Pip)

This is a very active thread the SWs must be doing something right! I'm on Lizzie's side too she's not predatory; though I admit only heard the end of last night's and will listen again in a minute.

Swannykazoo · 30/07/2014 08:32

I'm looking forward to the business plan for the tea-room that says "Kirstie Allsopp said it was a good idea" and maybe a picture of Kirstie and some kittens cut out and stuck on. FFS would Fallon not be thinking about quirky cocktails served in her vintage teasets and in upcycled jamjars. (Though I hate all that and have Ed Reardon's voice in my head saying 'what is wrong with glassware these days. What's next, a pint in a watering can?')

CuttedUpPear · 30/07/2014 09:09

bluestocking I'm one hundred per cent behind your plot proposal Grin

trevortrevorslattery · 30/07/2014 09:14

Ahpuggle I was just coming to post that about "Creep". I laughed my head off when I heard that on his car radio!

trevortrevorslattery · 30/07/2014 09:27

Just catching up on thread..

ZeroSomeGameThingy I agree that Lizzie has a fancy for the PC. I reckon Liz/Roy will be outed in a big jealous argument involving the PC and Fallon.

Ha ha R4 I hadn’t thought of that mismatch (all the cars zooming past Ambridge on the bypass and missing out on Fallon’s junk shop boutique).

Also Petula - “PC Harassment”! brilliant. I really hate him – such a know-it-all.

And also YY BuildYourOwn yep Fallon is pretty implausible as a businesswoman – she can’t even read a map to find where her stall is to be pitched!

ArcheryAnnie · 30/07/2014 10:19

Do we know he is actually a policeman and not a failed policeman who now lives it because he can't let go of the dream? Is he ever off duty?

Like those people who get dressed for the office and go off every morning because they can't bear to tell their families that they've been sacked, buildYourOwnSnowman? Ambridge is turning into Uncanny Valley.

PetulaGordino · 30/07/2014 10:57

would love to claim pc harassment as my own invention but someone else earlier in the thread said it first!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 30/07/2014 11:16

Yes archery

When he arrested fallon she was so drunk she probably doesn't really know if she was in a real police station. And when he brought his mates to the pub they didn't blow his cover because they feel sorry for him (and he was buying the drinks). And the lost child was to add plausibility.

Sounds quite sinister actually!!

So spin off series with ifty and dan bonding as they journey to rescue Freddie. Ifty (un realistically) gets deep into his Pakistani roots. Dan does something heroic

ppeatfruit · 30/07/2014 11:52

To change the subject aren't there 2 empty houses on the green? I may be wrong but there is Peggoi's and Will's AFAICR.

Agree that Roy is getting beyond the pale now which was forecast by one of you clever posters Grin yes to a jealous spat between PC perfect and polypants Grin

ppeatfruit · 30/07/2014 11:56

ref. the mobile forge I was thinking that it was next door because I can't forget (not in a good way) that scene of Chris and Alice getting interrupted about to DTD in the forge Shock

PetulaGordino · 30/07/2014 11:57

there's jill's house?

ppeatfruit · 30/07/2014 12:00

Yes Petula but she still probably wants it for her furniture. She could let it which makes 3 then.

JessieMcJessie · 30/07/2014 12:18

Yes ppeatfruit if the forge is mobile and in the back of Chris'van, he definitely has some sort of workshop, where he made Thor's hammer and got all hot and sweaty in his apron, and where Jenny called round very inconveniently juat when things were hotting up even more. Pretty sure all that didn't happen in the back of a van R4.

ppeatfruit · 30/07/2014 12:31

He also had nothing on UNDER his apron IFIRC Aaaaaah ooer folks Grin so do we reckon it was back in the house or in the back of the van ? ??

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 30/07/2014 13:15

When is bolloxfest?

Knowing my luck all the exciting stuff will happen when I'm on holiday!!

PetulaGordino · 30/07/2014 13:28

bh weekend i think? (when i'm on holiday!)

Swannykazoo · 30/07/2014 14:12

Eagerly awaiting the "creep" musical reference again today. Oh SW you are naughty

trevortrevorslattery · 30/07/2014 14:17

Puggle01 they can also shoehorn "Loser" by Beck onto CorduRoy's playlist Grin.

I've just heard the start of last night's episode again on the car radio at the end of my lunch break. I think someone has already said this but Fallon is surely going to take over the village shop. (Mike was in there serving her with his bad back - presumably will become incapable of helping out in there soon due to the problem). Fallon said "it's so handy living over a shop" or something.. is it possible she could take it over?

Whose shop is it? Sorry I should know this! Is it Helen's?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 30/07/2014 15:17

Mike was delivering milk, trevor. Fallon lives in the tiny flat over the community shop where Helen used to live. Like many properties in Ambridge, it expands and contracts as needed. Helen had Annette there with her for a while and was planning to live there with Henry when she was being doggedly independent (that turned out well).

There used to be a second pub in the village called The Cat & Fiddle. For a couple of years before it closed it was run by a gay couple called Sean and Peter. (Sean spoke, Peter didn't - Jenny adored them.) It had previously been a dodgy place much favoured by the Grundys and well known to the police. The Cat & Fiddle was notorious on the old BBC messageboard for having no fixed location. Every map of Ambridge produced had it in a different place.

If it's still trundling round the village maybe Fallon could lasso it when it next reaches the village green and convert it into a teashop?

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 30/07/2014 15:41

Roar at Fsll

TheOneWiththeNicestSmile · 30/07/2014 15:44

Bugger (this only happens to me on MN - I accidentally hit Done & then Post underneath. Grrr)

Ahem

Roar (that was right) at Fallon lassoing the C&F on its travels Grin

But didn't Matt (or somebody) turn it into luxury apartments (or something?)

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 30/07/2014 16:04

TheOne, you're right, I think, but since when have the SWs let that stop them?

I do agree with whoever said upthread that Fallon should be doing this in Borchester, though. How much passing trade is she going to get in Ambridge? If her main attraction is teas, are Jolene and Kenton going to be happy to lose a big chunk of the coach party trade to Fallon's place?

trevortrevorslattery · 30/07/2014 16:08

Ha thanks for setting me straight Mimsy.

Lassoing the trundling pub sounds good if a bit Harry Potterish

ppeatfruit · 30/07/2014 16:53

The shop is owned by the community I think trevor leased from Peggoi. Helllin and famiy own an organic farm shop in Borchester.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 30/07/2014 16:56

I believe matt did convert the c&f when it was located on the way out of the village (you can check out any time you like but you can never leave)

I think the shop is the only option and as hazel owns it I can't see the rent being cheap
