For me, that describes Ed. Some strange people think that it describes Jazzer.
Does it matter what they look like? We know and love their voices (except you Pip)

Helen is Adam's 'favourite cousin'! He told Charlie so a few weeks ago. Not that the competition is tremendous...

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 16/07/2014 13:01

Gosh, yes! Adam's first cousins are James, John, Tom and Helen. All loathsome, even John, but at least he's dead too. Mind you, the worst of the lot in that family (by a country mile) is Kate.

PetulaGordino · 16/07/2014 13:03

i thought she wasn't his favourite cousin, and she's closer to ian. i must have misheard, sorry

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 16/07/2014 13:05

yes, I think she always did like Ian more (and he was nice to her even when she was being a total dick the whole time she was pregnant with Henry). I was surprised Adam said that too, but he definitely said 'I'll have you know Helen is my cousin, and my favourite one at that' or words to that effect.

I only remember because I found it so staggering!

ppeatfruit · 16/07/2014 14:53

Well Adam and Ian seem to entertain Helen quite a lot and give her advice etc... Not so staggering Theoriginal

So when Charlie forces Debbie to come back, will it be Tamsin Greig?

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 16/07/2014 15:57

Good question Psuedo maybe she's too famous\busy to bother with small fry like TA now!

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 16/07/2014 16:11

'Tis a good question. I'm inclined to think Debbie is about to be ousted from her long distance relationship with BL (rather than being brought back to the UK.) We'll hear that she has been ofered some other stellar European job; she'll rarely be seen or heard of in Ambridge again. (Except for huge events with a new voice.) And someone new will manage the BL contract - either Adam or a new character.

(Oh Lord - might Charlie take it on himself?)

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/07/2014 16:20

Adam is working so hard because he doesn't want to pull Debbie away from being unfunny with matt le blanc and Stephen mangan.

I hate Debbie and for years wondered why tamsin Greg irritated me so much. And then I realised!!

ppeatfruit · 16/07/2014 17:11

Nah she'll go to London or Budapest and shag a Russian or Hungarian millionaire or something unusual like that Grin

PseudoBadger · 16/07/2014 19:13

Roy - what a slimeball!

And Rob, after that AI comment, and then the Henry conversation - does he know or not?

"Say there's nothing going in Elizabeth!"

Eww

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/07/2014 19:14

Rob and tony bonding over a bull!!

They're so not going to get on with robs parents!!

Man that interview was painful in a badly written way rather than the way they intended.

How has lizzie managed to convince Freddie it was all innocent?

Roy is being a complete dick

She is so going to have to sack him....

JohnFarleysRuskin · 16/07/2014 19:17

Going ON!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/07/2014 19:19

Your version is more vomit inducing John!!

If she sacks Roy what does she do about Hayley?

BitOutOfPractice · 16/07/2014 19:28

Can you imagine Elizabeth posting about this on the Relationships board? It's red flags a-go-go!

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 16/07/2014 19:28

Is this a precursor to clearing some characters out? I'm just wondering if the new Editor wants to get rid of some of the cast but as a sop is giving them a big SL to exit on.

  1. Exhibit A - Tom and Kirsty.
  2. Exhibit B - Roy and Hayley?

Elizabeth certainly can't carry on like this.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 16/07/2014 19:33

Hmm... Elizabeth is sure to have friends or associates who might employ him - if he would agree to move on without a huge fuss.

But she's not terribly impressed with Hayley anyway at the moment. (Perhaps it's her job that might become superfluous to requirements?)

PseudoBadger · 16/07/2014 19:38

She already HAS sacked him :o

OP posts:
BuildYourOwnSnowman · 16/07/2014 19:39

I think she is looking at Hayley in a bad light because subconsciously she's covering her guilt

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 16/07/2014 19:52

...Knew I should have used a different verbGrin

Icimoi · 16/07/2014 20:14

When Knob and Hellin were talking about the big dinner, there seemed to be some echoes of his attitude to Jess before That Party. I suppose there are similarities in that he feels his hand is being forced into having to entertain his parents. I hope he's also very worried about what nasties they might let out of the bag about his past.

BasketzatDawn · 16/07/2014 20:18

Roy is such a pillock. And he can't accept her word. He will need to go ....

I don't get why Kirsty is hardly even mentioned now. You'd think Alice with all that time on her hands would at least have heard she'd moved to Brum or Timbuktu or wherever. The character doesn't actually need to speak, but we do need more continuity, non?

I wonder if, should Peggy's house have to be sold and therefore not go to Helen, Knob will really step up the nastiness, as he is hanging about for that naice piece of property. Surely Knob's ma will SAY SOMETHING. She won't necessarily be unpleasant, she was nice to Helen on the phone, but hopefully she will make a pointed remark or two. And of course Pat and H will interpret that as animosity.

I find the Peggy SL of her being a bit depressed and therefore confused and forgetful quite realistic. She is grieving - for Jack and the cat and Tom. It's a lot for an older person to cope with. Of course Fagash and JD will think it's dementia and be all worried, then it will e helped by medical science. Tony is so up his own whotsit he won't actually notice. Though we have to remember HeWhoCanNotBeNamed was cured of clinical depression without medical science, just a little help from his friends, so you never do know. Not in Ambridge.
