Hi everyone - now I understood what you meant Dunoon! I hadn't looked at the amount of messages!!

Basl - I can count on one hand how many dresses I have owned/worn in my lifetime, so doubtful Though I do still have one!! Maybe I should make it my aim to get in it? I must look for a picture of myself in it as it was bought for my friends wedding.

Anyway, you were going jogging!! Much more impressive than me - I dod it in my front room - which, if you could have seen me was fair enogh - my tummy was boinging up and down and my knickers falling down - attractive and then i needed a wee

ill wait to see what others think?

Hope Tate picks up soon.

carrielou2007 · 17/03/2010 11:52

Morning (just)

I'll drive anywhere, had year of living in hotels with work and could drive most places, spent 9 months in London so will drive no worries. Can't wear a dress though as can't get my fat arse breastfeed in a dress but I do do heels

Still waiting for courier, every time I've used parcel force they have been here between 6.30am (yes really!! and 7.30am, need to leave for playgroup at 12.30 so looks like dd not going today! Never mind, one afternoon won't hurt.

Not quite decided yet but would anyone want the george pig footmuff? Might just stick it on the board or ebay as have my snunkie one on order and have a black xt one and apples bought from Nicola. Trying to be sensible

Geek a midwife, good job I didn't know before or would have bombarded you with questions!! Bexie did you given Erin calpol after hers?? I coudn't decide whether to give Archie some or not then did not have any here he seems fine but think will get some for next time??

I don't mind driving. Not great with directions but have a sat nav It managed to get us to the west coast of France then on to disneyland so hopefully it will get us to London!

Diva & Maxy - think you are both near me? We could meet somewhere and go together if you like?

Where abouts and when? Not sure about hotels, perhaps just type place into google?

nicolamumof3 · 17/03/2010 12:36

depends what we want to do? do we want to go for drinks/something to eat? stay at hotel?

My cath kidston cowboys duvet cover just arrived lovely lovely lovely! really nice muted red will go great in boys room same colour red as two of their walls then the rest is cream so perfect match.

Divatheshopaholic · 17/03/2010 13:01

Maxy and Nicola, parcels arrived Thank you very much.
Maxy, those Gap tops for 2.99 are sooo soft.I have 4 colors. Got 2 pairs of soft denim jeans for summer, too.
Geek, im about 1hours from Manchester/Trafford center. Would love to meet and go together, will be great to have laugh.
Carrie, hope PF arrives asap. I hate waiting for courier, too. My new DHl guy comes right at 9 o`clock.
Where and when is very important. Would it be better on Friday,or Saturday. Then we can eat out then go back to hotel for pyjama party.

maxybrown · 17/03/2010 13:08

Yeah they are the ones I got Diva, am going tomorrow now for sure. I got 1 of each colour except the orange

That sounds good, out to eat then back to hotel for party

I have just nearly strangled DS grrrrrrrr. I left him sticking whilst i tried to wash up but it's just been one thing after another, now rushing trying to get my jeans dry so i can take him to toddler group. got no milk no tea bags, no fabric softener blah blah blah - you get the idea I suppose!! Then he wants RAW FROZEN fish fingers for his lunch so i say no they have to be cooked, then he asks for MUSTARD so I get it out of the fridge (it is the american squeezy mustard) and I say I thought you didn't like it. Yes he says so I open it to let him smell it and it squirts all down his clean on t shirt grrrrrrrrrrr. It starts in 20 mins, we have not eaten and my jeans aren't dry....looking good eh? I left out the wee on the floor etc etc

carrielou2007 · 17/03/2010 13:19

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/03/2010 13:46

He took the laptop with him boo!
He bought this strange little computer thing Yay!
It is very limited in what you can do on it Boo!
We are having a meet up Hysterics!
I vote hotel stay over with meal out, wine in room and pyjama party.

FlyMeToDunoon · 17/03/2010 13:47

Oh Nicola sounds horrendous. I hate sick. Poor Tate. I hope Luka doesn't get it. Or you.

carrielou2007 · 17/03/2010 14:20

Yay, parcelforce man came at 1.45 so then whipped dd to playgroup. He said the order had only just come through and that he lives just around the corner so could've collected it at 6.45am if he had known sooner .

basl · 17/03/2010 14:48

hi everyone, nic hope you have had a little snooze sound like you have had a really rough night. Did think you sounded very calm about it last night.Maybe it was all the talk of our meet up.
Well i wonder what kind of hotel would cater such a get together. Everytime i have been on something usually family get togethers in travel inns or hotels the door always gets knocked and hmmm asked to keep the noice down. Maybe we could hire a whole wing of a hotel or go to a caravan sight. Or have a conference room in the hotel to have our party?
Anyway i really don't want to go to work tonight. Not too bad when i get there but it's the mad house before i go and always always with the snot or food smeared over me before i leave and feel like dogs dinner.
My dh is going out with my brinlaw at weekend and my sister and i are shopping all day sat and staying over at hers on the sat night, Dh will come back also after night out. I am trying really hard to make a go of this and kind of glad it has been highlighted. You would not believe what how much i laughed last night reading all about our meet up ideas. It stunns me how i can feel so comforted by people i don't know. xx

maxybrown · 17/03/2010 15:30

oooh a caravan!!! Basl, you are a genious!!! Might have to re locate though Wales anyone?

A noisy rocking caravan ooh er

That's cheered me up cos i've just come on to have a bit of a moan...........will fill you in in a minute....

Ok, sorry this is long but I am so ANGRY and upset.....so, after my steaming afternoon, got to toddlers all very nice, got taught how to crochet, felt a million times better walking home, got in post had been.....there were 2 referral forms for James. I knew they were coming and had seen the orignal ones (for speech audiology and dental hospital) when I saw original ones last week I corrected something she had written and gave her a list (granted it was scribbled but it had never been intended for her but she wanted it) of everything James could say.

I split the list in 3 sections

What he can say clearly that anyone could understand
Sounds - eg animal noises sirens ec
and
The things he says without opening his mouth (so all from the back of the throat) but with correct intonation

Now she was surprised at what he could say so said she would change the letter as there were more words than we realised once they written down.

She asked me yesterday if my copies had come, they hadn't.....I wish they bloomin well had!!!

It is utter nonsense what has been written, she hasn't listened to me and has mis interpereted what I said.

She says he has his won interpretation for words (incorrect) and that he says yum yum for Hello - wth!! I have never said that!! Hello and Yum Yum are as clear as day. I also explained on my piece of paper that everything he says is with appropiate meaning and appropiate usage all round. Not yum yum for Hello.

She also goes on tp say lots of other things that are completely untrue and i am fuming!!!!! now these letters have gone to the hospitals and not even right i feel totally useless now, can't get hold of her no answer. I feel like ringing up and telling them to stick all of it.

The letters make him sound like he is seriously delayed all round and that there is something really wrong with him I know he isn't that bad - even Diva, I know you have only met him twice but.....he's not stupid is he?

Sorry for the rant, I am so so cross I want to cry

Divatheshopaholic · 17/03/2010 16:38

Oh Maxy, thats so annoying Like i said before, i dont know why James started speech therapy at so early age. As far as i know they only start after 3 years in here, as up to 3 years they develope speech on the own way. Ds did not speak untill after xmas. and he suddenly started speaking and repeating. I realised James does make good communication, he even said Ds`s name.

basl · 17/03/2010 16:40

ooooh maxy so in a rush but just wanted to say hold on luv someone will be here in a mo with advice. Just you go with what you know after all you are his mum. Sure there is some logical nupmty heed administration error. Someone will chat soon. Daniel climbing out of high chair have to dash xxxx

nicolamumof3 · 17/03/2010 16:51

oh they're useless aren't they maxy?! no one bloody listens do they? i don't know about speech bloody therapy these people need some bloody listening therapy. Grrrrr!!! hugs to you i understand why you are so bloody mad.

Divatheshopaholic · 17/03/2010 16:56

Maxy, sorry i re-read that again. Im fuming I really would call the manager or whoever in charge and complain. You know they supposed to check his speech progress and assure you as parent, not making complete mess out of it, making whole thing hard for your life. Sounds like she was incompetent on during the session. You have letter that shows you, she got things completely wrong and mis-interpreted.

mummc2 · 17/03/2010 17:37

StrictlyKatty · 17/03/2010 18:36

Maxy that sounds terrible! I'd be at that too.

PrammyMammy · 17/03/2010 18:39

Hello everyone! Not been on here in a looong time. Just read over a wee bit, Nicola hows ds today? Something is def spreading like mad, my ds has been ill the past few days, and a few friends kids have also been sick. Hope your ds feels better soon.
Maxy, poor you, i feel angry for you. Really, things like that make you doubt health professionals. Wonder what she was thinking when taking all the details down? Doesn't sound like they were even paying attention. I hope you get it all sorted.

How are the pram collections doing? My ds is 2.3 now and much prefers to walk

nicolamumof3 · 17/03/2010 19:11

oh prammy can't believe dd is 6m already! how time flies how you finding it with two? you must have similar age gap to i have with the little ones?

Tate and luka have gone to bed, bed covered in towels, tho he's not been sick today so fingers crossed had three crackers and a pear bless him.
