Title in honour of my new spitfire that is coming

Oh Basl, been there myself too!! I am finding more and more people are less aware of anyone else around them, and so bloody rude. More and more I am finding myself shouting after people "oh you're very welcome" or "don't mention it" things like that.....my Mum does when I do it, but it's just so rude, no need for it. I do often say out very loud, "Oh james, we must be wearing our invisible cloaks again today"

Don't start me off, I am already having one of those mornings where I walk around talking to myself and muttering. I feel a bit like Miss Piggy today, you know when she goes off on one, that's what I feel like doing

Morning, nice to start the morning with a lol. Hmg i must have gone to bed but so funny when i read that this morning and yes i would have been freaked lol.
Maxy i think if it wasn't for the fact the whole bus was watching and gasping i might have said something but i am more kermet than miss piggy in public. Olivia however was giving her two pennith worth you know how children do. Telling the lady no room here, she will have to get off mum. The lady had the pushchair facing the sun and the wee one had a thick coat on and olivia kept saying awww mum he is sweating and told the lady she should turn the pushchair other way. Then olivia fell asleep much to the relief of the woman

carrielou2007 · 11/03/2010 09:49

Morning

That's my dd too basl and she is used to mummy 'saying things' to other people. I have developed a much thicker skin since having the dc and do speak out a fair bit in response to situations particularly so to rudeness. Dc's dad just walks off if ever he is with us!

NormaSknockers · 11/03/2010 10:44

Hi all, has anyone got 5in's address they can email to me please? I emailed her last night but no reply yet & I need to make sure the address I have on the box is right as after I booked the courier I stupidily deleted the email!! Courier coming today!

maxybrown · 11/03/2010 10:49

Norma I sent her a text asking her to contact you!

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 11/03/2010 10:57

You star thanks Maxy! I was sure the address I had was right but wanted to be absolutely sure, she's emailed me & all sorted - thanks Maxy

5inthebed · 11/03/2010 10:59

Norma I must have just emailed you when you posted on here lol. Sorry, I went to bed early last night, party animal that I am. So unusual for me as I am usually up well after 11.

Practical pushchairs emailed me back, it's £10 +£3.50 for hood, so not bad at all. If it doesn't sell I'll buy a new hood and maybe keep it for myself. It is a lovely pram after all.

Basl, I hate ungreatful people on buses. I folded by bjcm down once for someone with a newborn, and despite me balancing DS3 on one hip while trying to hold the pram and a few shopping bags, she gave me filthy looks right up until I got off the bus. As if to say "How dare you keep a toddler in a pram when I need the space". She looked a bit rough, so I waited til the bus pulled away and pulled a face at her, the mature adult I am .

maxybrown · 11/03/2010 11:10

Ooh that's good about hood! At least you can put that in your listing too.

Made me laugh about pulling the face, I would have done that too.

OP posts:
5inthebed · 11/03/2010 11:25

I've just added it to the listing, hopefully someone will buy it. If not, I'm going to keep it as its so nice .

I'm so chuffed with myself this week. I've lost 24 lbs since January and my new clothes I bought a few weeks ago are now getting too big . I've been a fat cow for too long, need to be skinnyish for my 30th. Usually when the skinny girl inside me screams to be let out I shut the bitch up with chocolate . Such a good feeling losing weight. Been a long time coming.

OneFatArse · 11/03/2010 11:40

ROFL@ 5inthebed

nicolamumof3 · 11/03/2010 11:57

maxy have measured shoes 16.5cm approx bit tricky to do that is big toe to heel inside sole.

want to go to next town later for browse dh is off he's not impressed.

maxybrown · 11/03/2010 12:09

Ooh well done 5in! i need some of your motivation!! Can't be arsed........there's truth for you

Thanks Nic, will have a look.

Don't talk to me about Iceland. Our Somerfield closed last week as co op bought them out and like co op so that was good.....then they tell us Iceland have bought it and it will be shut for a few months, now they are saying they won't buy it as roof is shot so no bloomin shop now. I didn't got there all the tim, but boy was it habdy! 20 min walk to nearest one and that is rubbish. Still, maybe I should go everyday and be like 5inthebed

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 11/03/2010 12:14

Gorgous sunny day here today with no wind (yesterday it was sooooooooooooo cold in the wind). Picked up my bargain footmuff this morning, very nice especially for 1.70!!

Right, walk dd to playgroup then walk to town and back in this lovely sun

maxybrown · 11/03/2010 12:29

Gorgeous here too, two loads of washing out, bit chilly though.

Was going to go to Manchester but decided to meet Mum there tomorrow instead and do chores today!!

maxybrown · 11/03/2010 12:47

Nicola, measured his current Kickers and they are same size, thought so but wanted to double check. Thanks for doing that though. They had the same ones in JL the other day for £15 but 8.5 and think he will only need 8 in startrite.

OP posts:
basl · 11/03/2010 14:11

Afternoon ladies, 5in of your weight loss well done that is such an achievement. love you making a face.
Anyone know if i am mad to buy jojo fleece bottoms and tops to go under splash suits i have for olivia and daniel. It can still be a bit chilly out but wondered if they are any good? Do they come up big?
5in if i was you and could keep the nipper i would. I liked the nipper alot but i much preferred my bjce but if there was a hope in hell of keeping both then sure i would have.
Still can't understand why olivia only had a stroller and that was it. I never bothered a bit and it really was put to the test but never gave it a second thought. With daniel i really could find a purpose for Bjce, nipper, bjcm and poss a zapp now how redic is that.
I ate an easter egg after that bus ordeal so shows i am an emotional eater but inspired by you 5in how did you do this?

maxybrown · 11/03/2010 14:25

Ooh no Basl, James has the JoJo stuff they are fab. There sizes are a bit hit and miss these days (used to be on the large side) but then a lot of places seem to be hit and miss!

James has 2/3 polarfleece bottoms and jacket I'd reckon the 2/3 will still do him next year but don't think the bottoms will. Though they are so easy to turn up and so soft and comfortable that they still seem ok in them turned up. Hope that helps

I am sat in the kitchen listening to James crying outside in the elite. Want him to sleep, he is shattered but he is not happy about it!!
