Morning. It was all shock horror in the playground today as everyone found out about the school places. Horrible.
And we found out that our neighbour died last night.

It's all a bit crap at the moment.
At least it is sunny.

maxybrown · 02/03/2010 11:00

oh no comfy sorry to hear that

OP posts:
pebbles79 · 02/03/2010 12:06

It's still nippy here but at least it's bright so I've risked putting my washing out today , it probably won't dry completely but at least it'll have that nice outdoorsy smell

basl · 02/03/2010 12:21

Sad news comfy and all sounds so stressfull about the places for shcool. Just back from the park and had a lovley time olivia not feeling too good so she fell asleep in the bjcm with the new jane footmuff i got for £30.00 and Daniel played and had so much fun. We sat on a bench wich overlooks the duck pond and had a little snack and drink and then the tears just kept rolling. My sisters house was directly at the back of the park and it just made me miss her so much. It brought back such lovley memories when i used to visit her and she always had her pinny on baking or doing arts and crafts with the kids. You could not have met a more lovely person. She never met daniel and olivia was only 2 when she died. So glad olivia was asleep or i would have had the whole "Adults not suppose to cry you know".

Glad i got that off my chest now off to look at the house of maxy shopping.

maxybrown · 02/03/2010 12:25

Oh Basl, hoep you are ok. You tell Olivia from me that adults ARE supposed to cry because we all do!! It helps us to feel better ....in the long run anyways

Not uploaded all the next stuff as going to take it with me in a bit when i go out and if they won't let me exchange will bring it back to sell hee hee.

Divatheshopaholic · 02/03/2010 12:32

Hi all,
Welcome Sizezero, the thread sometimes turns into Boden thread, too. As almost recovered pramaholic, im turning into shopaholic, or shall i say Bodenaholic.
Maxy, hope therapy goes ok for you.
Comfy, thats sad news. Was your neighbor elderly?
Lillypie, hope you all get better, sounds like bug going around across country. My friend was poorly for 2 days with it.
I had coffee morning with some friends and toddlers. We had good chat and boys played so well.
We have lovely sunny day. At last spring is about to happen, i think

basl · 02/03/2010 12:33

Yes maxy, bubbling away here but i know this is only natural. It was the strangest feeling sitting there knowing i could not and will never be able to visit her again. As usual sorry to ofload on here but it has been a bit tough again as her son left his homework at my house and i had a quick look to check he had been keeping up to date and i found a letter he had to write as part of a project and it knocked me for six. He tells how his life is a simple one apart from one thing that his mum died of cancer!! and then goes on to tell how he wished he could go back in time. Now he never we neve talk about her much because i think we knwo we will all fall apart but it just shows how we are all keeping it into ourselves.

Sizo i did warn you. There is the likes of me on this thread that use it as fabby counceling session.

maxybrown · 02/03/2010 12:35

Diva I emailed you this morning about another top that I reserved for you just in case lol!

I can't believe how much Kaiser muffs have gone up. £44.99 for the pink camo one on baby2childhood. Do they still give 10% discount to mumsnetters?

nicolamumof3 · 02/03/2010 14:00

isn't that ebay seller selling them anymore they were cheap cheap!
