Got a fab bargain today at ELC. If you buy this or this (they were reduced to £8 as well) you get this free! Bought one oeach for ds1 and ds2 and put them away for christmas. They'll love them!

Tom ate most of his brekfast and had a bite of toast at lunch. DP has just gone to get hil from PIL. They took him out this afternoon, so hope he's eaten ok there. He was soon back to hitting Erin again .

Btw, Vertbaudet have sale on a nd some good price on converse shoes. Im loving Chuck taylor denim ones but is 23.49 i9nc postage is good price???

yes think they are all 9 and bigger but thats ok isn't it for your ds? couldn't see the denim? have loads in my shopping basket tho. mostly tom to grow into as i find trousers for him soooo expensive but i keep thinking his tastes may well change when he starts secondary school.

i love my new cons so comfy glad i got the jersey ones.

I got the grey cord ones on vertbaudet, not come yet though.

I can't work converse out at the min. Think DS still need an 8. The kickers are ok on him - well the boots. DH got him the T bar shoes and they are bigger might have another look

Kickers and cons are a pain when they are a half size

James prob needs size smaller in shoes......boots he needs the room because of high instep so guess his foot fills it more where the shoe allows more room?

Excusez-moi ladies, while shoes are the hot topic i am a bit confused about feet measuring. When olivia was little i used to have her feet measured all the time and never a pair of un measured shoes crossed me door. A bit older wiser and less money i have allowed daniel his first shoe fitting and then continued to buy next which fitted him lovley. Now feeling a bit guilty i took him to an independant shoe shop and got some geox. Now she said oh these come up small so we will go up a size. He measures just over a 6g but he has geox 7. I think they look huge and he keeps tripping up. Do you think the measuring is all it is cracked up to be? When Olivia had her feet measured last month the lady measured daniels and said the little trainers he had on from next where a perfect fit and really did not need a new pair.

oh god yeah!! it is sooooo hard to find a decent fitter. my worst is clarks they are all clueless from my own exp. i always check shoes myself after a fitter has declared them right! i have gauge here. Prob get boys measured twice a year thats all! summer and winter.

Nic geox do half sizes and i wondered if he would have been better with a 61/2 even if they don't last as long or is that not how it works. I seem to remember forking out all the time for olivia until i got a little device that you put inside the shoe after you meaure your foot on and then i found vertbaudet etc etc

i would take them back then and say what has happened. just get them to check them over again? independents are usually better tho i've found.

Have you got a plus12 Basl?

I use that now, did have a proper clarks gauge and stupidly sold it!

Basically I don't trust any of them, I have been know to walk out of shoe shops

Last time i went, the ignorant girl had to go out to the back to check what size a 24 was, and then proceeded to tell me how much experience she had blah blah knows more tahn me blah blah........yeah, well i know what size a 24 is mrs She tried to tell me, that because she had measured James' feet as the same size as he was last summer in Clarks that both the shoes AND the sandals I had last year had been made incorrectly because she doesn't measure incorrectly. She didn't even offer to try any shoes on him to show me that they fitted him (cough)

james is very good at scrunching his toe up and to the side (very odd) but you can only tell he is doing it when he has no socks on!

Sorry you got me started now eh?!

Take him back Basl, he shouldn't be tripping up. Have you got a plus 12?

Oh maxy you are so funny with your words. You really should have your own show on a Firday night. Sorry yes i think it might be like a metal tape measure thingy. Worked a treat with olivia but never used on daniel because i think i have been able to tell really with the big space at front. These geox bend at the toes where the space is. Maybe he is getting used to his first propper shoes after next trainers. It is so funny because he can walk in olivias size 9 wellies and when dh takes me to work daniel has to come too as grandad finds him to much to handel and he runs out the house like the clappers with olivia's slippers on and never trips.

Well measure the geox with the plus12 basl, I think they say there can be max 3mm extra for new shoes but no more. He really shouldn't be tripping up, no matter about getting used to diff shoes. (don't ask me though ask the 12 year old in clarks with 15 years exerience )

where did you get them from? v.nicey. my boys get through tons of tee shirts in the summer. seriously they can go through 3/4 a day!! what with paddling pools, water bombs, sandpits, ice creams, milkshakes its constant changes!!
