maxybrown · 19/10/2009 18:40

nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 18:46

ooh lovely, you know im so easy pleased maxy glad you are happy with it, it was a good price.

i keep getting outbid on footmuffs today!!

maxybrown · 19/10/2009 18:55

What are you going for footmuff wise? I really hope I like the bunker, wanted to try one for ages!!

Pics just uploading now. It was a good price yes and I much much prefer the new one handed recline, much easier!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 19:00

how does the recline work then? i hardly ever recline mine tho so it doesn't really matter!!

i've got black universal maclaren one on way, but me being me i want a new one! then i want something sleeping bag stylee for the nipper, like a kaiser or like a p&t one.

alittlebitshy · 19/10/2009 19:11

Ladies,
I've not popped into this thread for montsh. So noone probably remembers me.

however I need to pick your brains re footmuffs..

I am using my old pliko p3 for ds (got it when dd was 18 months in 2004 - tis grey - cityscape), and the footmuff that matches looks not v washable as has faux leather trim and is quite bukly too.

Sooooo, i am deliberating between Snunkie and Chunkle munkle. can anyone advise? all the talk of zips, reversable-ness and all that is confusing me. i think i want one side to be fleecey but maybe not the other. is that do-able or silly???

hmm....

also with a grey pushchair what could i get away with colourwise??

Thanks ladies.

(btw still loving my Luna. It lives in the car - so light and easy!!!!! and unfolds in a flash when we're dashing from car to school!)

maxybrown · 19/10/2009 19:12

It basically has a lift up handle behind the top of the seat, instead of moving the two at the side. Recline mine a lot as DS often sleeps when we're out and much easier now esp when on busy bus!

Some pics are here in xlr folder.......funnily enough I took a few as I was putting it back togther and shown the scuffs etc, fabric and harness now immaculate though will take some with bunker when it arrives!!

Have you still got your Nipper footmuff?

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 19:22

alittlebit, you can have whatever colour you like with grey, im sure the m&p footmuff is fully washable tho?

yes its perfectly practical to have different fabrics cotton/fleece/cord/denim etc. once you've chose fabrics/design and checked on waiting times its really personal preference which you choose to go with.

right maxy im off for a nosy then, that recline sounds better eh maxy. Still got nipper footmuff it is v.nice and cosy but ds feet are right at the bottom already so it won't last.

nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 19:25

fabrics look immaculate, tbh im always more fussy on fabrics then chassis, shame about handles tho? i spose not everyone is as ultra fussy as us tho. im so careful with handles i cringe on bus that someone might load something on top of my xt or scratch it etc.! Bet its nicer than triumph tho eh? plenty of room for DS

maxybrown · 19/10/2009 19:36

Yes I agree fabric is def more important!! Looks fab now, just shame about handles as you say, looks like someone couldn't resst picking it Much better for us all round. Hopefully go out and about with it tomorrow, just itching for lodger

Xlr looks nice, why can't they do those pockets on the black xt they are so much better.

Can someone give me a bit of advice re-couriers?? My switch seller says the post office have quoted her 16.99 parcelforce 48 and I nearly fell off my chair at the price. Parcel to go have DHL, parcelforce 48 etc all at about 13 with insurance but ALL state you must print out labels for driver and seller has no internet/printer atm. can't get send it now to load I keep getting 'this programme has known issues' message any other ideas where I don't have to print out labels?? Last time I used DHL they did query I had no labels but still took the item??

nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 20:24

i don't have a printer and have never printed labels! try www.p4d.co.uk.

i prefer those old style pockets too, but now i have my babymel i use that everyday so not so pocket obsessed as i used to be with no baby change bag.

i wish i could find a footmuff been searching for ages now for the 'perfect' one!

5inthetomb · 19/10/2009 20:33

Basl, if you don't like the colour of your BJCM, I'll always swap you for my Maclaren Spitfire

XLR looks lovely Maxy. I found that the silver tips scuffed easily, I managed to scuff mine within a week on the black XT. Have you got a footmuff for it?

Nicola, would a quinny footmuff be too big?

nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 20:36

She's got lodger bunker coming....mmmmmhh! yummy!

i think quinny will be not long enough for luka 5in. Shame as they are gorgeous.

5inthetomb · 19/10/2009 20:38

Oops, meant too small

You feeling better?

maxybrown · 19/10/2009 20:39

I remember you doing that 5in.....wasn't it with a shopping basket?

I have HMG's lodger bunker coming!

I think the Quinny footmuffs are too small 5in.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 20:43

oh maxy i forgot, i know what its like DH went away in May for 10days it was horrible but lovely when he came home!!

carrielou2007 · 19/10/2009 20:47

Thanks Nicola, will try them now. Seller still won't amend the invoice to take her 24.99 charge off says pay and I'll refund it - er no, just amend the invoice please.

I've managed to sort out dd's playgroup today, mon - thur 1-4pm starting in jan when she turns 3. Was dreading I would get all odd mornings/afternoons/all over the place mixture of sessions and have been promised morning slots in september I was so happy I cried!!!

I'm used to every evening alone when dd is in bed though soon will have screaming babe to occupy my evenings

SpookyScattyKatty · 19/10/2009 20:50

5inthetomb · 19/10/2009 20:56

maxybrown · 19/10/2009 20:57

I don't know how you do it SK, I couldn't do that at all. It feels like he has been gone forever already.
More than anything it will be not being able to sleep, I know it. Sniff.

OP posts:
basl · 19/10/2009 21:20

Evening5inthetomb i wish i could do that for you and i do like the spitfire but i really want a black one, Oh and it is already arranged to be picked up tomorrow. I think i have gone of it to be honest. It felt really weird. The seat was strange looking and overall yes a bit plastic looking. I think i am going to take the plunge and go for the luna mix. I took ds back to AE as he has had a bad day and not slept much and he would not move his arm if he could help it. He has been so upset today and i just felt something was not as it seemed. I arrived at reception and i just mentioned the name and she said oh yes just have a seat someone will be with you. Yeah right i thought but the doctor came immediately. Well daniel has actually broken his elbow he said and explained that the x ray had not been looked at properly. He explained that his reaction to the nurse trying to manipulate it back into place was not normal for a pulled elbow. He is now in a cast. He was so brave and loved what was going on with the messy stuff. The two men that did the cast were so nice and daniel puckered up his lovley wee juicy lips as a thankyou but the two guy did not know what to do. I was so upset to think they twisted and pulled his little arm and that he had not slept well last night with a broken elbow. He has been asleep for hours now and think he quite likes his new arm. So lets see how i get on with the luna mix. I should have listend to norma and nic.

maxybrown · 19/10/2009 21:25

Oh bless him basl. at least it is all sorted now, poor little mite. Wondered how you had gone on!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 19/10/2009 21:25

ooooh your poor ds basl it makes me so mad when they make mistakes with kids, why didn't they call you to come back in?! its unbelievable. Glad he's on the mend now tho.

DS3 just woke up screaming place down, yep same old same old, temp clutching his ear...i don't believe it. just got him back off to sleep and into bed.
