Hey there
Is maxy about?

BexieID · 23/10/2009 13:52

I don't think a suit will be a good idea, as he refuses to wear his fleece sleepsuits!

carrie, does the Pliko come with the removable carrycot thingy? How long do you think on average you would use it in prammette mode?

carrielou2007 · 23/10/2009 14:50

Bexie the liner is to make P3 into prammette, not very secure though, same as with the silver cross 3d. I had this with dd then sold it for a pramette which has the fabric sort of built in that goes over the bumper bar and poppers on the bottom so baby can't fall out (nice soft material).

I still had dd in it at 5 months but she was wanting to sit up/not lie flat by then so had to turn it around. That's why I've bought the switch as would just use XT but don't want to put a 6 month old in it, more 9 months when will then sell switch. I just loved the bug having dd facing me for much longer so want similar option for RF for the car.

Ok campadres [sp?]
I would like to pick your brains about pushchair liners.
I am thinking of doing liner and strap pad sets.
Would you buy a liner and strap pad set?

Should I:
Do specific liners for specific pushchairs which would involve getting patterns. I suppose I could accost my aquaintances and ask for permission to measure up their pushchairs.
Do a universal liner with three shoulder strap slots and two crotch strap slot etc....
Just Maclaren ones with velcro for the back
I am not sure about:
Using foam. I have used polyester wadding for the ones I made for myself. This gives a thin liner like the Maclaren ones.

I would like to send Nicola the best of my homemade ones for a crit if thats ok.
Any other comments/suggestions feel free or email me on paterson222atbtinternetdotcom.
Thanks

maxybrown · 23/10/2009 18:43

Maclaren would be a good place to start I reckon,as lots of people have them.....I can always send you my XLR liner to borrow

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/10/2009 19:07

Ha thanks Maxy. I may consider it but might take a while to send it back!

nicolamumof3 · 23/10/2009 19:16

yes always happy to test dunoon i think padding would be good as i wasn't impressed with the mac ones, they aren't as nice and thick as the xlr ones. but it would be nice to have the different fabrics i.e cotton/cord/denim etc as well as fleece? I think liners are more spring/summer items tho but a good time to practice and get everything in place you could sell off here and ebay?

maxybrown · 23/10/2009 19:17

Yes agree with Nicola.

Oh and there are a couple of pics added of bunker here plus one of DS asleep in it

OP posts:
5inthetomb · 23/10/2009 19:21

Ooo Dunoon, I'd be interested in one once you start production

That BJCM went for a good price! £100 and with the bumper bar.

Decided to hang fire before I buy another pram, possibly the Jan sales, there'll always be a bargain there.

5inthetomb · 23/10/2009 19:22

How cute does your DS look Maxy! So snug and cosy.

SpookyScattyKatty · 23/10/2009 19:24

OMG Maxy I want those dungies and cosytoes and your son!

maxybrown · 23/10/2009 19:27

No need to ask twice SK I can send him as he is in one bundle..........where did I put that box............

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 23/10/2009 19:28

loving the bunker!!! it looks so snuggly i do want one i wonder if it will be long enough tho for luka? DS is gorgeous maxy he obviously likes it!!

DH will get a surprise when he's back?! new pushchairs and footmuffs!!

maxybrown · 23/10/2009 19:32

I know

But the house is very very tidy so he won't care!!

They are roomy I have to say, plus it is kind of shaped a little (though not as much) like the Nipper footmuff. It is easily as long as BS

OP posts:
FlyMeToDunoon · 23/10/2009 19:34

Yes thought I would just get set up and slowly [and no doubt knowing me it will be sloooowly] start.
Will need to investigate wadding/foam? Never sewn with foam.
Like the idea of denim liner!

nicolamumof3 · 23/10/2009 19:35

yes i want a lodger now, like the red one.

when does dh get back?

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/10/2009 19:36

Oh and love the cute pic of DS maxy. Lodger whatsit is very lush.

maxybrown · 23/10/2009 19:39

Tomorrow night They made the fatal mistake of asking the kids if they want to stay for breakfast and they are all saying yes, obviously as want to stay "on holiday" as long as poss I bet, so means getting later ferry then long drive from Dover......urgh. he can't wait to get home!!

Yes wish I had gotten a lodger sooner. I just reclined the XLR and it looks soooooooooo cosy with that in it. Fab!

OP posts:
maxybrown · 23/10/2009 19:40

Oh, Dunoon, I have a cosyosko liner here that is fleece one side and denim the other. It is also quite standard fit. Nice though, love having the double sided option.

SpookyScattyKatty · 23/10/2009 19:53

Ok just a quick question... Does anyone want a blue and white sheep bugglesnuggle that my friend is selling?

Oh and does anyone have

  1. A Swimfin
  2. A mini micro
  3. A talking pilot Postman Pat

that they want to sell me?!

nicolamumof3 · 23/10/2009 20:03

fleece/denim would be nice!
