wanting another pram

so dd is 10 months old and i'm getting the urge to go pram shopping again. i really like the icandy peach.
i have a silvercross 3d in the shed from previous dd, a baby merc junior sitting unused in the kitchen, and an oyster. i have just given away a graco and will probably give away the baby merc whch i only used for six weeks. it was way too big. i like my oyster and have used it daily for just under 10 months now so starting to get bored. i have never used the main seat for oyster so its like brand new. i still use the carseat with it as dd is still smallish.
anyone have the icandy peach? i've been looking on gum tree, pre loved and ebay, but i don't want to end up with one that falls apart in months cos the other half will kill me.
this would defo be the last pram as we are not planning to have more kids.
what do you think?

Op, we'll move this to the pushchairs topic.

I have a babyjogger GT. It lies flat (so I used it from birth) and is soooooo easy to fold and chuck in the car. (Easy to do 1 handed!) the seat is huge and will last for years and is super easy to push around with one hand. The hood come pretty much all the way over to create a dark cocoon but also has windows with flaps so you can keep an eye on them. Very good all round buggy. I've abused it loads on dog walks/the beach/walking 8 miles a day and it's still as strong as ever!

Op I would urge you to stick to your plans and get a rear facing seat rather than a mcclaren. My 3rd baby was prem, and quite behind in her development, so I found it important to have her rear facing so that I could chat away to her and point out things around us.

I got her a 2nd hand icandy (not sure what type it is, I cannot remember), it came with the carrycot bit. She went in it until she was 6 or 7 months and then the main seat, which was fine - this is why I chose this system. I am shocked that the oyster cannot be used meaning you have to use the car seat - I would not be happy with this at all. A full term healthy baby should be in a car seat as little as possible, prem babies even less so.

If it were me, I would try and sell the oyster as its like new, and give away any others you have. You say you don't want to buy 2nd hand in case it doesn't last, but you got 6 years out of the 3d so I would give it serious thought. You may want to change to a mcclaren type buggy after a year or so so it would be pointless spending much at this stage.

I love my icandy. Dd is just turned 3 so we haven't used it in months as she walks, but I found it brilliant value and am so glad I bought it. It might be an apple, not sure!

I would buy 2nd hand. I wouldnt want brand new as she is already at 10months. The 3d has been in storage for years. It was 2ndhand also. 50£ bargain. Im defo going to need to wash it. It has handles not a full bar, which as we live on a busy road, I need to steer with one hand to be able to pull other daughter through the crowds of people on the school run. I am going to mull it over the next month or so. I probably will end up keeping the one I have and getting rid of the others, unless I find one suitable and cheap. Suppose it cant hurt to look

I found the oyster seat lies a lot flatter than a car seat so I'd give that a try before shelling out for another.

It only says 6 months+ because its a bucket seat meaning their legs arent as flat as their body.

It'd still be much better than a car seat, but if you wanted you could buy a wedge for it (think maxi cosi do them for the Elea) to flatten it but that'd only work if she's lying down all the time.

I tried out the Candy Peach in store last week and I absolutely love it! The wheels are so stable and don't go a-wall like some when your trying to get down a kerb. Nightmare! It folds away so easy as well and I have had to wrestle with some in the past. Such a pretty pram as well so many gorgeous colours. I have looked around for a while and think this is the best one I've found.

I know everyone is saying it's a waste of money to buy another pram but if your not having anymore children then you may as well make the most of buying your last pram! You'll be buying them a car before you know it

If you do decide to go ahead the iCandy Peach 3 was the one I tried out. It's fab! Here's a link if you want to read more about it www.mycribrocks.co.uk/brands/icandy/icandy-peach-3.

Hope this was helpful
