aswellasyou · 31/10/2011 20:06

Tiggy, here's a cheap Elite slling right now. item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=140626186055&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=68412192134

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 20:14

the lovely pictures on BB are convincing me i need a peach!

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 20:14

It takes up to 50kgs. I can see me getting one...one day when the pushchairs subside...

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 20:16

Thanks but it's not an Elite - it's a Classic....plus I need the Boots points :)

aswellasyou · 31/10/2011 20:18

Oh sorry! Blush The picture's too small on my phone.

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 20:19

Messages are crossing lol!
The roof is sooooo cool. I need to measure and see if it woukd fit in the boot!
I love it!
The Peach is stunning. Someone walked past me with one today and it looked gorgeous. It's also pretty faultless to use. The hood is a tad noisy but apparently they are getting quieter. But its stunning.

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 20:20

No it's fine :) I warned someone off about it the other day because it was mis listed. It's got the squarer hood.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 20:50

tiggy, is that the peach that takes 50kilos Shock or 50 pounds

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 20:53

Nooooooo the trailer! In Australia the Peach is apparently certified to 25kgs though.
Angry Theres nothing more annoying than stumbling across your own photo on EBay because someone couldn't be bothered to take their own especially when it's been used since! Angry

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 20:55

lol i thought that was a lot for a pushchair Grin the radio flyer trailer i have takes i think its 9 stone Shock.

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 21:01

oh i HATE that! someone nicked my ENTIRE listing once, same wording, same picture, the lot....whilst my listing was still up!Angry

you should report them to ebay...

anyhoo monkeys how much was your spare set of covers for the vista?

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 21:19

right,thats it!

im getting a vista...

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 21:23

Lol...are you sure? Not a Bee plus? Or Cham? Or Peach?

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 21:30
Grin
FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 21:33

here is my reasoning...

bee+ - i cant get hold of one, plus the issues with it are not good.
cam - too much money, plus i dont like the fiddly/weird fold
peach - cant install a buggyboard, cant fold in one piece.

the vista does everything i want/need,its only fault is that its a tad bigger than id have liked.

MonkeyJuice · 01/11/2011 01:46

Extra vista seat and hood were £65! Bargainous compared to the bugaboo slip over hood and pram apron price. The seat is a full boarded seat fabric complete with harness. Hood as the original too. You just don't get the metal bars, you use the originals. Was fast and easy to swap over.
Frigg, I really think there's a lot to like about the vista.
Should've seen ours this morning. Basket piled high with games kits, school bags, Ds nursery bag, lunch etc. No other pram I've had has fitted that much in.
Ds had a nap in it after nursery. Was able to have him facing me and completely laid back, and pop out the visor for darkness.
Such a light push. No more arm fatigue. Did 6 miles today. Oh and the bad back i had since before he was born coincidentally is much better recently while using this pram. (dr thinks it is/was slipped disc).

MonkeyJuice · 01/11/2011 01:53

Actually, did 8 miles today...the vista is seriously a good pram.
I lost faith in bugaboo after shimmy bee wheels, and unexpected hole in both seat (stitching undone in seat seam at bit where seat base and back meet, on essential structural seem. large Hole in basket where velcro holds it to frame. After four months use! A brand new cam too.

Tiggywunkle · 01/11/2011 04:02

November already! Wow!
I have just finished off my Vista reviews on BB I've been writing, uploading and tweaking for hours! I will be wrecked in 4 hours when DD wakes up. But I'm wide awake at the minute!

StarryEyedMama · 01/11/2011 06:48

Sorry to hijack your fridge but seeing as SP announced I have a pushchair addiction I decided I post a post. Ordered my third pushchair yesterday from Kiddicare and it's die to come today - I got a Mountain Buggy Swift and can't wait. Anyone had one? Hope they're as good as the reviews have said they are!

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 01/11/2011 08:28

tiggy, go to bed earlier, 4am Shock
just out of interest is the vista seat larger than a cams, i thought it looked small, but i never sat dd into it, i wish i had now and then i would have got a better idea of the size, off to look at bb, tiggy hope you've got pics of dd in front seat Smile

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 01/11/2011 08:41

hmm, not a bad sized seat is it, why did i think it looked small, but then my xari seat looks small in grey but dd fits fine with room to grow. any one know anything about the jane slalom R, dp was quite taken with this, i know jane are known for clicky brakes, but any of you owned one.

Tiggywunkle · 01/11/2011 09:28

Hi Starry. I would love to know what you think. I had several long plays with the Swift and fell in love with it big time. It looks gorgeous. But then I got the Duet which is very similar. The way the fabric bunches up behind the childs head post recline really annoyed me. If you tidy it up then it's hard to recline! I also realised too late that the handle is very low (it appears high though) but it's noticeable next to other prams. I had back ache for a week after trying to push two children. But I have noticed since that some whilst most low handled pushchairs eg the B-Agile also cause me issues, the ABC doesn't. The quality of the Duet was also poor. But yet I still really hanker after a Swift! I had to stop myself buying one this week in the Boots promotion!! I have even been back to see the Swift again recently and the bunched up fabric put me off. But they just look so cute for an offroader. I think I will play again when I get chance. So would love to hear what you think. The handle height bothers me most coz at this stage DS could sleep upright in the Swift seats. I would like to know what you think of the quality too. Someone heres Swift broke soon after buying. Oh..what am I doing!?? I can't get one Lolol The Elite is better! Lolol But it's cute to look at!

Tiggywunkle · 01/11/2011 09:29

Prams, the Vista measurements look great but why is DDs head over the top of the seat but yet the seat back is taller than most pushchairs? I can't work it out.

pramsgalore · 01/11/2011 09:32

yes i noticed her head on the hood fabric, but she fitted under the hood which was good, not much growing room though, what age clothes is she in now.
