YY,i think tiggy's right....

the lady on the phone (when i asked about the strawberry),mentioned something about an icandy peach special edition coming out soon!

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 13:18

well i thought it was a new name for the metro, but it says it has a near flat recline, it has a big hood, it sounds like a city mini on paper, but does not really quite look like one.

this is it, no nice shiney chrome chassis though

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 13:27

i like the chassis....not a fan of the fabrics though...

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 13:27

i have to say, i rather like the look of the sidewalk

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 13:49

well, i have just put my plum/purple mountain buggy footmuff on my xari and it fits really well, the top hooks over the top of the seat pad and i have to say it looks rather cool, purple and white Grin have not sat dd in to it yet as she is fast asleep, but i don't think it will move and the red seat pad is totally hidden.

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 13:52

I think the Peach Special Edition looks better in real life Its nice to see it side by side with the regular Peach and Strawberry. as I have said before I prefer the London red highlighted version with the London buses on. The Special Edition is being shipped at present. Again it was a preorder item so it's finding a shop with free stock.
The sidewalk looks cool with the coloured hood.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 14:06

that sidewalk is £30 more compared to a city mini in purple on next.co.uk Shock

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 17:52

How on earth will I get my shopping home when I dont have a double pushchair to put it all under / hang it from? Confused
I took the TwinGo today and believe me it was positively groaning with over £90 of shopping including something like 14 litres of milk, 18 cans of drinks, washing powder and all the rest!!
What single pushchairs beyond the Vista, Pinto, City Select and Peach have huge baskets???

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 17:55

wagons Grin although i convinced dp to do my shopping, he's still not even in tescos yet, bless him Grin baked potatoes for tea, its all i had in the house, that and cheese

FriggOmortisFRIGG · 31/10/2011 17:59

croozer trailer they are fab

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 18:18

Hi Suzie. I like Mondays :) They are busy. Fridays are quiet!

Frigg - we have a Croozer which is fab as a bike trailer. However its no fun hitching and unhitching it. We thought it would be easy to bike to the shop, unhitch it, walk it around and hitch it back up. But its a pain in the whatsit! The Taga was easier. Although its meant to be pretty manoeuverable as a pram, it really isn't! It would probably cope with snow if you used the jogger wheel but not the regular pushchair wheel (which is tiny) but that wheel is fixed and probably even harder to use.
If I were to look at another bike trailer I would consider the Baby Jogger Pod because its a) a Baby Jogger and b) its the only bike trailer made by a pushchair manufacturer. But trying to get one would be fun and games.
I dont think I would try and mix the functions. I would get a snow pushchair and a cheap bike trailer.

prams I liked that trailer I showed you the other day but its so expensive :( I can't find the link either!!

I wanted the +one for carrying shopping in but I still dont know about it. I am seeing issues all over the place with MB and P&T's pushchairs (including mine) and I am very loathe to spend more money on their products. Also the back of the Duet popped off non stop and the +one looks similar. There's definitely a market for pushchairs with big baskets! We have a new Tesco opening soon and DH thinks I will be toddling along every day to buy everything fresh. Hmmm..he's got another think coming! I would rather struggle home with one laden pushchair once or twice a week than do a trip every day!

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 18:27

here it is Grin it is lovely, but the price is Shocking

Tiggy I was this close to buying your vista... but then I realised the weight limit for the rumble seat. my toddler is big, 18months and already 13.7kgs and tall. So only could use it for a little bit then have to put tiny baby #2 in the seat that doesnt recline. No good I am afraid. I have also read how the city select got too heavy and I have heard that from others too, so am ruling that out based on how heavy my first child is already.

I was so set on the MB Duet. So sad to hear you didnt like it. Can you tell me why again...the small size is just so attractive to me. I am in North London and need to get into tiny shops and on the buses, but I also have a big toddler...
It seems there is no double for me!
Tiggy and anyone else, if not the Duet then what? Peach blossom looks great except for the price...is there anything else? The verve? It looks so long and heavy and wide.

aswellasyou · 31/10/2011 18:58

The Britax B-Dual 2011 version. It's a seriously good pushchair and you can get the full package for about £350.

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 19:41

My 3 year old is 16.8kgs and the Rumble seat didn't flinch at all with her in. I was amazed (we had an emergency change over for a few minutes to get us home). But it's definitely got a niche market and the smaller the older child the better. The Vista and Rumbke seat doesn't have the same kerb issues as theCity Select. They shouldn't be tarred with the same brush so to speak. It was easy to puh the Vista - I was forced to quit with the City Select six months ago.

The Duet was simply too heavy. The weight and it pulling to the side of my toddler combined with the low handle left me in agony for almost a week. It was as hard as the City Select to keep on course. Plus the quality, recline, hoods etc were all poorly executed.

The Verve has issues too - creaking chassis and more.

I would get either a B-Dual or Peach or Pear. Just bear in mind that the Vista Rumble seat at 15.8kgs is a higher test weight than the standard 15kgs of the other pushchairs!

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 19:47

Thanks for the wagon link. I need to bookmark it now. The Fisher Price is a cool idea. We use the ABC top hood like that to carry shopping in!

Tiggywunkle · 31/10/2011 19:53

It's nearly £100 cheaper here but it's still expensive :( www.headingfamily.com/p-1679-expedition-trolley-the-wagon-for-children-haba-8008.aspx

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 19:59

it should be very easy to pull, as it has large wheels, like my off road radio flyer, that goes over everything, although have not tried it on the beach yet, but wet sand would be fine.

HauntedPramsScreamsGalore · 31/10/2011 20:01

look you can get a roof, its getting better and better
