Jane fotmuffs are on offer on MC, buy one get one half price, though only one of the colours I really wanted and not the Anis...

pramsgalore · 11/11/2011 10:41

you could buy it, try it and take it back if not big enough, i know on line orders can be taken back to a store, so easy to return. Smile

aswellasyou · 11/11/2011 10:49

There's an urban one on eBay, which you could return if it was too small.

pramsgalore · 11/11/2011 11:14

has anyone shopped on babybabyonline.co.uk, thanks

aswellasyou · 11/11/2011 11:29

That's where we bought our B-Dual from. They're a lovely family business in Shirley (just outside Birmingham), very helpful, know they're stuff, seriously friendly and seem to be the best price around for most of their stuff. I even had a play in their warehouse! Grin I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. They've just started selling Mimas too.

misdee · 11/11/2011 11:32

d-dual, in purple rain, inc doubles seat and raincover ordered.

will be here monday, hopefully it will fit on the step of doom!!

aswellasyou · 11/11/2011 11:35

Yay!!!!!!Grin I really hope it works on your step. I really do love ours. Smile

pramsgalore · 11/11/2011 11:41

thanks aswellasyou

Tiggywunkle · 11/11/2011 11:44

Yay for ordering. I think the B-Dual is a little gem at a really good price for what you get. I hope you like it. I will admit it took me a few days to settle down with it but as you use it, you realise how good it is :)

misdee · 11/11/2011 11:47

i hope so! the last few days with dd4 ill and me too achey to carry ds means it has been hell on the school ruin. am still doing my best to win the duet, but if i'm not successful i am on the dec orderlist anyway.

my step is a right PITA, as its an awkward size.

this better fit through my door, i forgot to check the width Blush

Tiggywunkle · 11/11/2011 11:56

I know retailers with Duets in stock if you get stuck. The B-Dual is wider than a lot of tandems but part of the width as we have discussed are the huge wheel guards. They aren't necessary with a newborn in the lower seat to be honest (but don't tell Britax I said that!)

Meanwhile there's a blue Easywalker Sky single that's been reduced on EBay and looks honestly listed. I know some people were interested. I am a tad cross because I bought the easy walker easy board but the connectors aren't right for the Qtro - even though the website says it fits but Easywalker aren't replying to my e mail asking if they have any connectors :(

aswellasyou · 11/11/2011 11:58

It's 69cm wide. I think you said your door was 70cm so it will fit. I'm not sure if the width includes the mudguards though.

misdee · 11/11/2011 12:01

will tinker with the mudguards if needed :)

those pics linked further down really helped, especially the size of the second seat.

Tiggywunkle · 11/11/2011 12:19

That's why the pictures exist :) To break myths, show true photos, and show differences to give an idea of size, proportion etc. I often hear that P&Ts are small or B-Duals are huge or Nippers are small etc. I think it helps having children in the seats too.

pramsgalore · 11/11/2011 13:43

anyone bought anything on babythings4u.co.uk, [the last webbsite was unsecue Sad no padlock]

aswellasyou · 11/11/2011 14:10

Do you mean the payment wasn't secure? They use Verisign for payment security or you can pay by credit card or PayPal and you're automatically covered.
If that's not what you're talking about then I'm just confused! Grin

What is it you're buying anyway?

pramsgalore · 11/11/2011 14:17

when you go to checkout on the page where you put in your details and card details onto, there is no padlock, when ever i have ever payed for anything on line, there has always been a padlock, either at the bottom of your screen or where the web address is this shows its a secure site, and theres no padlock to be seen.
i am after buying a britax b-agile Grin decided that perhaps it time i bought a compact pushchair as all i really use/own are large pushchairs, the bjcm the handle height is too high for me Sad

MonkeyJuice · 11/11/2011 14:21

My red outlast snugglebag fits well on the slalom. Only downside being that red doesn't go. Might get the black one. It will open at foot so will last.

MonkeyJuice · 11/11/2011 15:19

Ok, the slalom rl outdoor performance is AWESOME!!! Not quite so nippy as a nipper, because wheel base is different dimensions, but not far off.
Basket beneath a bit small. Ds is hating the snugglebag. Says its too tight. Is actually v large and sumptuous. Maybe we've passed snugglebag age. Snowsuit, mits and raincover instead then.
Performs well with front wheel locked saved me loads of arm strain on our Roman style roads with steep camber.
Lovely squish when launching off deep kerbs. :)

MonkeyJuice · 11/11/2011 17:50

It was definately easier around the small shop by school with the slalom than with the BJ summit because its narrower.

pramsgalore · 11/11/2011 18:28

monkeyjuice, thats my only problem with the elite, the fact it is 67.5cm wide, thats 7.5cm wider than a cam and your jane Shock other than that i like it, i do wish the bjcm handle height was not so high, but its higher than a vista

suzie38 · 11/11/2011 18:35

Wow...Then it's a good job i didn't get one for my snow pushchair to use on the bus...I feel the Donkey's too wide even though it isn't.

OP posts:
pramsgalore · 11/11/2011 18:37

i know i was shocked, i only checked because i read a review where someone had said they could get into a shop but not down the aisle

Tiggywunkle · 11/11/2011 20:24

It is wide isn't it? But it's not as bad as a side by side and is smaller than the B-Dual.... Hmm

MonkeyJuice · 11/11/2011 20:35

I have taken the footmuff off and ordered a spotty otter chillibear in blue fleece as we have waterproof all in ones or really heavy duty snowsuits but not that interim layer that's so useful when its cold but not. Freezing.
