Maybe you should try an iCandy??? If i had one i'd prefer the Cherry but i know the handle height is fixed...But the Donkey is good for shopping in the mono mode of course.

Right, I've. Silicone sprayed both Janes, and pumped slalom tyres to 30psi and adjusted the disc brake so its not rubbing now. The sort of thing a good pram shop might have sorted if you weren't buying online!
It's much much better now and is at least ad good as my bj summit. Not quite as nippy as a nipper but still v manouverable.
Off out for a test run in the woods shortly.
The carrera anniversario is also a lot easier to use now its been lubed. It's like a loola up, except it can reverse, has awesome suspension and wheels a bigger (though not rf) seat and its possible to leave a small amount of items in the basket when folding. The basket is a really good size, also though not lightweight at over 9kg it does fold very compactly. The quality is startlingly good.
One heck of a lot more for your money than a bee offers quality wise. Im not at all saying bugaboos are poor, just the Janes seem to be built with a much more solid and unbreakable quality.
If you want a v compact but luxurious buggy I would recommend it. It's not lightweight though. However you will feel your child is really cosseted in the carrera. It also pushes and manouvers very easily. I like the Handlebar. Way nicer than two bars.

I've just ordered my Wineberry Nuna from the Dutch site along with a footmuff and weather pack.

I saw a cherry in M&S yesterday with a clicky rear wheel that looked about to fall off. It was teal, so wondering how old it might have been. We then passed either an Apple or peach in much better condition. Do all icandy people shop in M&s? Lol
My slalom and carrera cost a total £338 so not much difference in price from a new toro. I'm feeling v pleased with getting them on sale ( Thanks WWW.pramworld.co.uk)
I will now sell my bjcm BJ summit and senzz to cover the cost!
I am very much hoping the carrera might just fit in our car boot (zafira with all seats up). If it did that would be superb. The loola did, but the loola couldn't reverse and the seat was short...

TruthSweet · 10/11/2011 16:06

MJ - how much would you want for your Senzz? Not that I should really be buying a new pram....

Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 16:20

Blush We food shop in M&S when we get organised but I haven't been in a clothes M&S for years! Someone with a nice shiny tomato Peach Blossom walked past our gate a few minutes ago.
Am I allowed to say I quite like the Urbo...it's a perfect toddler sized dolls pushchair too. You can set the handle at literally any height from toddler sized to tall! The quality, fabrics, harness etc looks superb - but I am aware of the negativity re M&P...
For an urban pushchair it's been whizzing nicely over our gravel. DD took teddy for a ride too! But the footrest is completely in the wrong place - useless - as is the peekaboo window. Very cute! I like it! It might be staying if I can find a corner for it to hide from DH!

suzie38 · 10/11/2011 16:30

I'm not keen on the shiny frame.

OP posts:
pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 16:39

i like shiney frames, i think thats icandy, shiney chassis and frame around the hood, [which is why i don't like the limited edition one, it just not icandy]

MonkeyJuice · 10/11/2011 17:17

I pm'd you re the senzz TruthSweet. :)

Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 17:21

Strangely I don't like the industrial feel but in the cute package the Urbo is quite pretty. The black framed ones don't feel the same somehow.

Yay for ordering your Wineberry Nuna, Suzie.

It's getting too dark to take photos these days :( I am going to have to rejig our day.

thisisyesterday · 10/11/2011 18:12

truthsweet if you donate the SN pushchair I might know someone who could really use it (my old cleaner, i think i mentioned her before?) but would need to talk to her and see if it is suitable

thisisyesterday · 10/11/2011 19:44

is it size 1 or size 2?

TruthSweet · 10/11/2011 20:01

It's a size 1 Jazz EaSys. We have the sleeping bag, lap tray, hood, leg cover and some kind of chest/lateral supports that we never used.

It fits a buggy board and a buggypod too (if she fancies being driven insane that is).

thisisyesterday · 10/11/2011 20:03

what age do you think it goes up to? I think her DD is 7 now, so might be too big for it? she is quite tall?

TruthSweet · 10/11/2011 20:14

I think she'd need the size 2 tbh at 7 as DD2 hasn't got a lot of growing room in it at 105-ish cm tall.

If you scroll down to page 5 on this it gives you all the measurements for size 1 & size 2.

MonkeyJuice · 10/11/2011 21:02

When do you think your wineberry Nuna might arrive Suzie? I'm excited for you. They look lovely.
Id quite like to get Jane footmuffs for my new slalom and carrera, but jeepers they're expensive! Anyone know anything about the JANE nests? I'm presuming the quality is fab, but wondering if my 3y old would fit in them.
Where are the 7am footmuffs to see those also. Maybe I should look at buggysnuggles? They open at the foot.

suzie38 · 10/11/2011 21:08

I think it's expected in about a week but i'll be emailed a tracking number when it's dispatched...At least i know i am going to LIKE it!!!

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 21:11

7 A.M. Enfant Website. Mother care were stocking the footmuffs when I was looking for some. If not I got my duo blanket from Twins-Store and they ay be able to get you one in. I suspect other places stock them too as I am sure there's a UK distributor. My Buggysnuggles are driving me nutty flopping all over. But they look good when on, but I am forever hoiking them up as the children get in. I thought I would like the new harness slits but I prefer the old type. But the slits aide easy removal which is really what I needed more. I need to see if 7AM have a single blanket.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 21:27

i have a jane footmuff somewhere Hmm but from memory i think its about the same size as a bugaboo one, which i can def try dd in tomorrow, i will look in the out house and see if i can find it, don't know if it was called a jane nest, but it is a jane one and it is so lovely and thick, mine has ties at the top to keep it in place, like the buggysnuggles do.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 21:49

found it, put it in the xari and dd fits into it now but only a bit of growing room, would say fine for this winter but not next. it says on it kids zone in a sewn on plastic sqaure and it has a paw print on the flap that goes over bumper bar on the inside, but when put over the bumperbar the inside shows out iygwim, it is lovely and soft and looks warm.

MonkeyJuice · 10/11/2011 21:52

Oooh, the 7am enfant website is lovely!
Thanks prams that would be fan. The anis jane nest might co ordinate with the slalom as its similar colours to urban. Might just jazz it up a bit.
Ill definately take the slalom for a run in the morning. Can't wait to use the carrera outside too. Each wheel has a sturdy little mudguard. Also proper suspension on every wheel. They packed a lot of good features into this buggy and its big in use but folds so small and free stands.

MonkeyJuice · 10/11/2011 21:55

That was quick prams! Thank you for doing that. X
I'll have a think. Maybe look at kaiser too if they're still available.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 21:57

i bought mine second hand a few years ago and it is so old i can not find a pic of it, it does look similar to the ones out now, but mine is all one colour inside and out, its hard to judge if mine is any bigger then the ones out now now.

aswellasyou · 10/11/2011 22:09

Monkey, the Jane footmuffs we had were amazing! And absolutely huge. I suppose it depends on the shape of the seat you use it on though. They have a little pocket that flaps over the back of the seat for keys/phone.

misdee, I second getting a B-Dual. It's fantastic! We can use it with the top seat facing backwards still. Both the girls are quite short though-I think they're between the 9th and 25th centiles for height at 14 months. There would be no problem having the top seat rear facing with a baby lying flat. And the top seat takes 20kg if I remember correctly.

aswellasyou · 10/11/2011 22:13

Oh and in regards to the mudguards as Tiggy was saying, we never have them on and the girls can't reach the wheels yet. They're really easy to put
on and take off if you need to though.
