Donkey's in mono are £899 new.

I find fully pumped up tyres make a huge distance in sluggishness...I like mine rock hard.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 11:31

monkeys, i was kind of hoping you were going to come back and say it was lovely and great and pushed really easy Sad ho hum, i am begining to think i should just stick with what i have Shock Sad
anyone know how much a donkey in mono in jl is, in hoping the price may be different, to the one i found Grin

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 11:32

thanks suzie, thats what i thought, a tad short then Sad

suzie38 · 10/11/2011 11:32

It's £899 as i bought mine there unless they've gone down in price.

suzie38 · 10/11/2011 11:33

suzie38 · 10/11/2011 11:34

I bought mine on the first day they were on sale...They were still assembling their model and no fabric packs had arrived.

It was me with the steaming great pile of shite buggypod. I hate it and I am worried it has permanently stuffed up the chassis of the EaSyS as it creaks now since attaching the BP.

If anyone wants a set of size 70 fixing brackets or a raincover (must have two poppers on each side of the seat & two at the back of the seat by the head to fit though) let me know.

We have had great news today though - DD1 hasn't got HMS at all, DD2 is doing much better so physio has been pushed back to Jan and DD3 is a bit hypermobile but just really in her hips (which explains her late walking and her inability to walk very far). Also DD2's HMS was probably exacerbated by her arthritis causing her muscles to weaken through non-use making the HMS worse when the arthritis went into remission.

This means we will probably be giving away the EaSyS to a charity/SN child soon as unless DD2 gets arthritis again I can't see us using it anymore (DH would prefer to donate rather than make any money off it).

oooo, i have just put the denim hood on my cam, making it all denim, base as well and it looks fab, i have my bright stripy buggy snuggle on it as well Smile

Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 12:31

That's fab news Truth :o I am chuffed for you all :o
As for the Buggypod - I remember now - how could I forget Hmm
Prams - an all denim Cam sounds lovely.
My BJCM4 will now be Monday.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 12:50

tiggy, thats great news re bjcm4, i would say full review please, but the handle again is too high. i want a donkey now Blush it ticks almost all my boxes apart from ds, but most days he will be at school, just means in summer hols it could prove a problem, but i have all winter to train him and his lead, bless him Grin, i need an extra 250 i think with out looking, after christmas i should be able to do that, but the price will have to be kept from dp, Hmm would jl do a phone order and deliver, that would work, if i have to go into jl, dp will faint at the price after the xari Blush and go mad and do his victor meldrew impression, i just don't believe it
what do you think, do you think it would be good for shopping, light off roading [don't go up the side of mountains] last dd until she no longer needed a pushchair [she is stubborn and can not walk far, very flat feet]

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 12:53

would it be good in snow, not that we would get much really, but last year we did lots and lots, infact snowed in within hours Shock [never seen anything like it,nothing then loads] but then only a sledge worked then.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 10/11/2011 13:05

stop it prams...you are making me want a donkey.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 13:11

they do look lovely and the way i look at it is,
i have my refund, which in my eyes was money already spent so another what 200/250 would get me a donkey, i would have spent another 200/250 on another pushchair anyway, so i am not really spending that much iyswim, god i'm good at making it sound fine Grin

Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 13:38

I soooooooo would like to try a Donkey.

suzie38 · 10/11/2011 13:40

The Donkey would work on compacted snow but fresh snow i think would get trapped in the front wheel mechanisms and it'd be a hassle to pull it in 2 wheel mode like you're suppose to.

OP posts:
pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 13:51

Hmm the chances of having snow down here for more than a few days is low, last year was a bit of a one off, am i mad getting one, but then i could buy something else, not like it and buy something else when i could have just got a donkey, suzie does seem to like hers alot, this would be my last one yes i know i have already said that really it would, i would also have to make my mind up over what to keep and sell out of my 3 top pushchairs or just use a different one each day Grin

suzie38 · 10/11/2011 13:53

It is a delight to push...Just a shame you can't push the handle in more for folding purposes...Plus i'd still worry a bus driver would say it's too wide for the bus.

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 13:56

It sounds like you need a rota :)
I need to dig into my pushchair room today and tidy it up today or over the weekend otherwise I won't get anything new in.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 13:58

i doubt a bus driver would say it was too wide, as you are pushing it onto the bus, as its only the width of a cam, which i would be quick to point out, i have pushed a verve onto a bus, now that is big Smile as long as it fitted in the gap, i don't see a problem, i know what you mean though it does look bigger than it is.

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 14:01

so am i mad or not, would you guys get one, just to cover all angles thats fellow pushchair addicts, don't want to be flamed down Grin

misdee · 10/11/2011 14:02

tell me to be good and not buy a bdual

Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 14:07

Being honest, I am not a fan of the Donkey in Mono mode, but I can see that it's got good spec / features. I personally wouldn't have it just as a single. As a Duo for us going down to Mono to get through certain doors would be useful, but useful is the word. I am sure you could find a better single Hmm. I think you need a good play with all your options.

Tiggywunkle · 10/11/2011 14:08

No, go and buy a B-Dual. You may well prefer it to the Duet!

pramsgalore · 10/11/2011 14:22

Grin i have just bought i rather cool [well i think so] zigzag custom hood for my cam, maybe you are right tiggy, oh i just don't know, have given up now Sad but i can not wait for my hood to arrive Grin
