yes,the new ones do suzie, they are fantastic...id LOVE a waterproof one.

i really want an air buggy mimi...and a rumble seat,
i can only get one...Sad

i need the extra seat for when DD is tired/cold in winter for the 1/2 hour nursery run,and i was thinking about the air buggy for the snow...what do i choose?!

Honeydragon · 08/11/2011 17:30

the seller hasn't contacted me re: sending a courier. I asked her to confirm how much extra she wanted for packing too and no reply Sad. I have paid her with a note asking her to email me with how much she wants forwarded for packing it, as I don't like not paying. I'm not in a rush to get it, just want to pay her.

I hope she hasn't changed her mind.

I once bought a stair gate collection only and was told I could only come on a Thursday between 9.30pm and 10.00pm, no other options! They got really snitty when I asked to cancel the transaction - no way was I going to a strange persons house 1/2 an hour away at that time!

They said they were fed up of relisting due to cancellations and people not turning up, and they couldn't see why that might be Hmm

suzie38 · 08/11/2011 17:34

I was dealing with someone who bought my Brio Go carrycot and she often took a couple of days to reply to emails.

frigg, i thought you had the board arriving, if so, i would get the airbuggy, but i know what you mean, i wish i had enough to buy 3 pushchairs, then i would not have to make a choice Smile

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 18:13

yes,the board is here, but not quite enough all the time...im thinking air buggy...Grin

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 18:20

what a double one, that would be great through the winter, is the piggy back board easy to walk with or like all the other buggy boards ok.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 19:11

yes a double...for the long cold winter walks to nursery...

the piggy back is excellent compared to other boards,
the wheels are like skateboard wheels,so are a lovely smooth push,
and it comes up out the way really nicely when not in use....
but it does get in my a way a bit...
although i dont spend the entire time kicking it and swearing under my breath like i did with the other buggy board....if only they could make the handle extend just a teeny bit more it wouldnt be a problem at all.

MonkeyJuice · 08/11/2011 19:29

My slalom pro is here! But.......I cannot unbox it yet! :(
Husband is home from other side of world with jet lag....I didn't tell him I was buying this (it really was a spur of the moment bargain buy). So, to keep the peace I will wait til he's back at work to unwrap. I have peeked into the box. The raincover is at the top and its certainly top quality...I can also see the lovely plush fabrics of the buggy and smell the tyres....its torture not being able to haul it out for a play! I'm stupidly excited as I've not owned this brand before. Certainly on paper the description seems ideal. I'm just praying for no wonky wheels. The handbrake, suspension and other attributes including the quality should mean its a good one for our needs. Not so big as our summit but able to do the off road stuff and bad weather.
The carrera has also been despatched so may arrive tomorrow. Hope hubby will have popped out when it turns up...oops. I'm also hoping the carrera works with a 3y old. It's got four wheel suspension apparently and looks v plush. I seem to have a thing for luxury combined with practicality in a pushchair!

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 19:42

Hurray re nice new pushchairs. Waiting to open the Vista was agonising. I was desperate to see the colour as I don't like metallic colours but the it wasn't at all like the photos I had seen.

That's interesting about the Piggyback. It's a shame a couple of cms could have made all the difference.

I am using the Peach a lot in single mode. It's as easy to use as most of my other pushchairs even though it's two pieces. I love the Peach soooo much! One beautiful pushchair.

The Airbuggy is a good double. I like it a lot.

There was no BJCM4 today :( but apparently it's now due at the end of the week and hopefully stock is on the way :)
I think I am getting an Elite too :) I have a feeling I will prefer it to the new GT.

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 20:26

what do you think this is?

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 20:31

ooooh i like this too. like a p&t, only from the questions asked, it would seem that the rear seat can also be attached onto the front! v. cool

misdee · 08/11/2011 20:34

its a bob, but not a BOB iyswim. its about 10years old iirc.

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 20:40

how old do you think an average is child is when they weigh over 22 kilos, its just that the vista takes 22kilos and the baby jogger elite takes 34kilos, it is a pushchair for dd, but handy if ds could climb in if needed.

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 20:45

Who else was interested in the Easylife as I am not getting it? I am going to get the Elite for now. The seller has given me her details and will ship if you want them.

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 20:46

The rear seat fixes on the front of a P&Ts in newborn mode so that the baby can lie flat.

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 20:49

The girls height weight chart I looked at said approx age 4 for 22kgs. My (and Friggs) DDs are both around 16-17kgs I think (apologies Frigg if I am wrong) now at aged just 3 (well my DD is 3.1yrs and Friggs DD is a tad older).

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 20:49

ds1 is 21kg and is nearly 7
he is fairly average sized I think, compared to his peers.

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 20:51

wow 4?

wonder if i weighed him wrong. although ds2 is only 15kg (he is 4)... hmm

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 20:52

ok this is american, but i can't imagine it varies hugely weight chart

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 20:52

Actually scratch that! That was on the 97th centile. The 50th is more like age 7! 34 kilos on the 97th centile seems to be around a 7 and a half year old, but on the 50th is a 10 and a half year old!!

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 20:55

ahhh that makes sense!

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 20:55

I am so used to reading the top of height / weight charts that I forget there's smaller children too! Lol The children in the Elite Double were 10 and 11 I think, and really they didn't fit. They are small and light for their age too. The 5 year old is now smaller than my DD. At just 3 she has bigger feet and is taller! It's a bit odd when they are together because everyone expects my DD to be as grown up as she is.

TruthSweet · 08/11/2011 21:00

I was going to say wow that's some massive 4y/o!

DD1 is 20kg and she is 5.9y/o and approx 120cm
DD2 is 17kg and 3.11y/o and approx 105cm
DD3 is 11.8kg and is 2.1y/o and 87cm

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 21:02

he is 5 years old and at present is 19 kilos, do you think i would get a couple of years until he reached 22 kilos, i much prefer the look of the vista to that of the elite and i think the jane is 15kilos where ever it is sold.

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 21:10

I thought the Rumble seat would be fine for us but somehow (no idea how!!!) DD stacked on a kg in about 2-3 months which took her over the limit :(
