phew, seller is a nice normal person like us, I was worried as ebay keep reminging me to pay Grin, she will pack on thursday and then I'll pay her more and organise collection. Smile

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 21:13

I was just saying to Truth that I wish UK safety tests didn't just go to the ubiquitous 15kgs but gave a true, accurate upper safe weight limit like in the US and Australia.

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 21:14

Shock Who says we are nice normal people?? Hmm [wunk]

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 21:15

Talking of wunking, Frigg hasn't had a drunken night for ages....are you reformed Frigg??

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 21:20

thank you, he is 112 cm so not tall, i just don't know perhaps i should just get a elite.
yes why don't they just tell us what the upper weight limit is, 15kilos is not that high really for some children, mine are all short, but alot of dc's are very tall for their age or big framed

suzie38 · 08/11/2011 21:21

Someone has asked if the Xari carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping...Any idea if it is??? Personally i'd say no.

pramsgalore, do you think you will need it for him when he is older? am sure that by 6 or 7 he would not need to go in the pushchair anyway?
unless of course you do a lot of very long walks

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 21:26

nah,not really reformed per say....just havent had any in the house for ages.

anyone know how wide the BJCclassic double is?

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 21:27

he has asd and no danger awareness, he bounced out in to the path of a car not that long ago, so near busy roads i need him on a lead or in a pushchair, he also gets confused in busy places and tends to wonder or just run when the fancy takes him, i say he is my little forest gump as he runs and runs and runs Smile, he also has problems with processing information and following instructions. so i need a pushchair that if needed could take his weight.

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 21:28

ahh ok, ds1 has asd too and can be similar. I have a wriststrap attached to the pushchair that I use on him if he's being silly!

MonkeyJuice · 08/11/2011 21:30

I want to open my slalom pro....but its hidden in my ensuite and jet lagged h had gone to bed....and I don't want to start a row about another new pram...
I would've been v interested in the easylife but for she wanted cash (Ermm not really got any left until I sell some prams! ) and also I've just bought the Jane slalom pro!

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 21:34

prams -thisis...may i ask,how old are your ds's?

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 21:36

mine is 6... 7 in february

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 21:36

Frigg, the stats are all on here: www.ebay.co.uk:80/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230693990790&clk_rvr_id=281947258915

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 21:39

mine is 5.4 years old

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 21:44

I agree with you Suzie. But have a look inside. Is there a ventilated mattress? I can't see anything online to support overnight sleeping.

suzie38 · 08/11/2011 21:48

I don't think it is ventilated...If you got one made that was ventilated would it be ok then???

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 22:02

Honestly, I am not sure what makes a mattress safe.bugaboo took time to show me the air vents in their mattress. The Vista actually as air vents through the wooden base too. I think the mattress is the important bit but I would leave it for the buyer to decide TBH.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 22:03

thankyou guys....my DD is seeing the GP for similar attributes next week...

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 22:05

tiggy - i dont think that can be right, can it? 35.56 cms??!

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 22:08

frigg, if you need to know anything, just ask and i will try and answer, my ds would have been around your dd's age when we first saw someone, it was his speech therapist that referred him for a developmental assesment and it went from there.

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 22:10

frigg, if you haven't already then do post in the SN children section. you'll get lots of good advice there :)

Honeydragon · 08/11/2011 22:10

Frigg you are very funny and luffly when you drink and post Grin

I think you guys cope brilliantly, after seeing the shit you get on here for still needing a pushchair I dread to think what you put up with in RL Sad

I know I used to get Hmm looks for still slinging / using the pushchair for ds when he was older and we walked to the supermarket...it was a 3 mile trip, he's generally walk there and give up halfway home if he was tired, but I still got passive aggressive idiots telling him he was a bigboy and didn't need a pushchair.

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 08/11/2011 22:21

yes,we've just started to get those kind of looks and a lovely lady stopped right in front of my buggy when DD was having a meltdown, she looked at her and said, simply,
"oh,charming"
did a cats bum face and walked off.

so anyway i thought she maybe was ready to walk more, and she is kind of but she just doesnt seem to understand half the time, and half the time she does things because she knows it's not what i want her to do...
like 'tother day when i offered her a cookie (after she had begged for one continually for an hour) ,she knocked it out of my hand onto the floor, and then just stared at me,like I had thrown it on the floor...then she cried for 3 hours because i wouldnt give her another one.

so,yes double buggy is sometimes needed...i think im going to get an airbuggy mimi as its only 73cms,and might just fit through the front door!

Honeydragon · 08/11/2011 22:23

how old is she Frigg Grin
