I just know it's a City but a Google threw up several City ones. It wouldn't go in the car to be honest. Will my tall 3 year old fit? It looks narrow but logically she should have more room than a double with two defined seats.

misdee · 07/11/2011 22:16

have yu got a link to it? emmaljunga recently changed the names of some of their prams and some are now discontinued. pm it to me if you dont want others bidding if its an auction site :)

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 22:19

Thanks! I have sent you the link.

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 22:40

I think it might be too big to fit in my car :( The Nipper just fits by sitting on the boot sill.

misdee · 07/11/2011 22:42

thats a shame, as they really are fab.

MonkeyJuice · 08/11/2011 03:54

Prams, I probably won't be getting a Micralite now due to recent purchases...which means I have two atk sets to sell (though may keep one for now just incase!). The micralites really are fab aren't they.

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 09:32

monkeys, when your jane slalom turns up could you let me know how the basket is to get to and how big, many thanks, i like the slalom reverse but pointless if basket is small and difficult to get to.
is everyone still loving their vistas or are you falling out of love with them!!!
i am seriously considering keeping my micralite Blush it is just so handy to have and because i have the all terrain kit i could use it in the snow, if we get any that is. Hmm oh and dp has put his foot down, not alowed a pink pushchair, any other colour but not pink Sad i know its down to if ds wants to get in as he is still under 20kg, but pink quite suits him Grin

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 09:51

we visited the baby lady shop in canterbury to try out the emmaljunga and teutonia twins.

the emmaljunga seats are really small. very narrow and not very tall at the back.,
at the time ds2 had just turned 2 and he filled the seat. could only just get the hood up.
i think they'd be great for twin babies, but not great for a baby and a toddler.

we went with the teutonia because the seats were so much bigger and it was half the price!
the teutonia is of course wider and much heavier but it was fine for what we needed it for. I think it weighed about 23kg all in, so was a monster to get in and out of the car Confused

the emmaljunga was a lot lighter and narrower, but as I say, you pay for that with smaller seats. it's also quite low down. I like a pushchair with higher seats

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 09:54

i need to sell some pushchairs but can't decide which ones to get rid of.
the aria is def going to go, but as I was given it I think I should return the favour and give it to someone in need... just not sure who or how to find them? any ideas?

then I need to decide whether I keep the i'coo, bebecar or the silver cross wayfarer light... the baby jogger micro is def going.

oh and to get rid of the abc buggy or not??? i hardly use it any more but if I sell it you can bet your bottom dollar ds2 will decide he is incapable of walking again. then again he IS 4 so maybe i should just make him walk?

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 09:57

i am always surprised at how many pushchairs she manages to have on display at the baby lady shes not too far from me Smile you live in the same area of the country as me!!

Honeydragon · 08/11/2011 10:11

thisis what's the icoo like as a pushchair, is it a good walking pushchair?

MonkeyJuice · 08/11/2011 10:26

Yes still love my vista v much! Will let you know about the slalom. Hope it'll arrive in the next couple of days. They send with Yodel.

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 11:03

I'll remember you two Kent people if the Easylife gets listed again Wink!!!! I have an I'coo Pii and I don't like it :( The seat is too low even for me, the swap round of the seat is a pain. The shopping basket is teeny. The only good point is that it folds better parent facing than outward facing.

Thanks re the Emmaljunga and Teutonia doubles. I was just pondering trying one out but they are too big for me to put in the car so no good because I can't collect!

I love my ABC. I just wish it folded smaller and more easily. It fills our hall whether up or down. I was...hoping the +one would be a good replacement but am not convinced I will like the +one. I have read so much negative information already....

thisisyesterday · 08/11/2011 11:57

the i;coo is lovely for walking with. giant air-filled tyres, great suspension, lockable front wheels.
the basket on it is massive, but the gap into it isn't so huge which is slightly annoying.

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 12:24

i have just had a look at the easy life you have all been on about, and it is 10 mins up the road [if that] Grin but i know nothing about packing up and sending a pushchair Sad never ever done it, the ones i have sent back i had the box they came in and they arranged the courier.

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 12:47

ooo i could get a bj elite from boots for about £259, when taken into account the points i will get which is £56, Hmm are th baskets easy to get into and are they large, what weight do they take, how big are the seats, off to bb

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 12:51

Sad no pics of dc's in elite infact no rl pics at all, why!!!! i thought you had one.

TruthSweet · 08/11/2011 12:57

TIY - the charity shop at broadfield Barton (relate) takes prams and you can't deny the area is full of needy people! We have taken a pram there before and they were so grateful for it.

Or you could give it to the Pregnancy Crisis centre (Oasis I think??) behind West Green shops as they give them to mums in need.

Or donate it to a children's centre as they will know of someone who needs a pram.

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 14:31

I want an single Elite really badly....I am in talks over one! We have the double one - look on BB on the twin pushchairs page. There's some BIG children on one post - my nephew and nieces who arrived as I was taking photos. They wanted their piccie taking! I could still push the Elite easily with the 11 and 10 year olds in! Daft I know but interesting experiment!

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 14:37

The Elite basket is large and accessible better than the City Mini. Officially they take the ubiquitous 15kgs but it's 75lbs in the US. Head height is apparently 25.5 inches - more than the Summit. Long leg room. I just need to buy one....and / or buy the one we have here. I have used it lightly because it's the showroom one but would have loved to use it more. It looks so comfy!

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 14:44

Decisions, decisions, decisions.....arrgghhh!

pramsgalore · 08/11/2011 14:47

thanks, i take it the seats would be the same size on the single, all though the seats look about the size as the vista when i did a side by side comparision, dp wants to go for the jane slalom i don't know, may be i won't bother at all, ha yeah right only joking, i what a new pushchair, just don't know what yet Grin

Tiggywunkle · 08/11/2011 14:54

Yes I would expect the seats to be the same height etc, if not wider on the single. The Baby Joggers are just so easy to use, fold etc and the Elite is high spec. Oh gawsh, I just need to buy one!

suzie38 · 08/11/2011 15:22

I've had an email today from the Baby Lady in relation to the Teutonia's but of course i'm not getting one now.

I wouldn't mind getting a waterproof Buggysnuggle...Now i can see they can attach with strings but does it also have the flap of fabric at the back like Bugaboo footmuffs have, so you can hook it over the back of the seat...If it does then it would work with my Go but the strings won't work as nowhere to tie them to.
