Our newest and latest addiction thread...

I would too...but finding a Strawberry for sale this side of the back end of winter could be fun especially when iCandy dont allow online / over phone sales. Unless a shop has free stock from the early orders, then you may struggle to find one much before spring.

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 11:31

That all sounds like a decisive morning though :)
I am surprised the Easylife doesn't have more room though.
The Jane does look really comfy - much better than the Powertwin for leg space. A friend has just got one. She walks miles with hers.

pramsgalore · 07/11/2011 11:42

tiggy, what model has your friend got?

misdee · 07/11/2011 11:49

i think u can make the easylife seat deeper if its a newer model?

TruthSweet · 07/11/2011 12:01

Misdee - that was with the seat unzipped at the back! She was no where near as tall as the previous owner's boys (age 7 & 9) and they fitted in just fine so I guess we still have plenty of growing room.

misdee · 07/11/2011 12:05

its quite deceptive. i found the easylife massive.

MonkeyJuice · 07/11/2011 15:15

ummmm, there was a Jane Carrera Anniversario on the same sales page at £139...so lots of money off - and my finger slipped - so have bought that too! Blush....defo have to sell some of the other buggies now - but on the upside - I have my vista (school run and shopping), jane slalom - weekends etc....and now a teeny fold one of the bus/or when all seats are up in our zafira (if the carrera actually fits!)...lets hope the Janes are good or they'll be straight on ebay!

MonkeyJuice · 07/11/2011 15:16

The easylife single was big - but tiny folded - although a pita to actually fold until you got the knack!

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 15:54

Lol re your finger slipping. I have a buggy addict friend who loved her Jane Carrera with her first child and nostalgically bought another a week or so ago, and she hated it! Funny how time changes things. I hope you like it when you get it. I am sure my friends Jane is a Slalom Pro. I had a good look because of my experiences with the Powertwin and was pleasantly surprised at the leg room, level of child comfort, good sized seat etc.

pramsgalore · 07/11/2011 16:07

it was'nt the reverse slalom pro was it, i have been reveiwing pushchairs allday and watching them on you tube, its between vista and jane slalom reverse, the vista has points for huge basket and large high seat, the slalom r has points for comfy seat, off road/go anywere, but the basket don't look large and i need to know if its easy to get into Hmm oh and they both fold with seat on which is a huge bonus, the icandys are out, the peach as lovely as it is, folds in two peices and the strawberry don't know when i will get my hands on one and has shallow basket at one end, which i am not keen on, also very new to market after recent experiance should aviod new new models.
monkeys i hope you like your new pushchairs, they do look lovely. does this mean you won't be getting a toro now.
i am meant to be selling my micralite, but i used it today, as i do any pushchair that i have stored and then put up for sale, and it is so light to push, even with the buggyboard on, need to find my buggy weights though as its back heavy with board on, dc's have had them, i told them to put them back and it appears they did not Angry i have a kitkat next to me for the first one to find them Grin that should do it

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 16:33

Haha re the Kitkat! That's a great idea!
I don't know which Jane my friend has to be honest. We were outside chatting and there were blankets over the baby - she pulled them off to show me the leg / seat room. But he was forward facing and she didn't mention the seat reversed.
I have finnnaaally been chatting to my Kooltrade rep. They don't have anything more about the Versa or GT than we know. She's coming in a week or so to take the Elite away :( so I will see what she knows then. She did sound very impressed with the Versa and GT though (aren't we all?) She said not to expect anything before Harrogate in March. I seriously think we need a buggy addicts outing there! I certainly could do with some interested helpers! But there are plenty of BJCM4 in stock so hopefully one will be winging it's way here soon. It was due here tomorrow anyway....

Honeydragon · 07/11/2011 16:37

I spoke to Kooltrade a month a go and they were more in the dark than we were Grin

pramsgalore · 07/11/2011 17:28

and the winner is dd2, i have my buggy weights Grin

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 07/11/2011 18:44

i want a versa....'tis my dream single

Honeydragon · 07/11/2011 19:18

Well done prams Grin

Frigg the Aprica is going to cure me and be my final dream pushchair ignores fact that said this about the Bee

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 07/11/2011 20:10

oh yes the verve and the vista both cured me,and the mima...so will the versa,or the bee+ or maybe the strawberry.....

TruthSweet · 07/11/2011 20:15

Anyone know what this is?

Looks really nice...

thisisyesterday · 07/11/2011 20:18

it's a bebecar...

TruthSweet · 07/11/2011 20:20

Thanks TIY! Bet it weighs a tonne then Sad

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 07/11/2011 20:41

anyone know anything about the XTs twin twister?

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 21:10

Just messaged you. I haven't seen one but it looks very like the Air Buggy Mimi which was very light to push. The stats look ok ie not too wide or heavy.

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 21:37

Does anyone know anythung much about the Emmaljunga Twin? I can't even find a decent website with stats on. I am guessing it's big and heavy. The footrests seem long and it says suitable until 4. Is it worth a look or is it one to leave? I know its a good brand.

misdee · 07/11/2011 21:57

my single emmaljunga 360 cerox is big and heavy. but pushes like a dream, has the biggest seat unit of all my prams, lovely long footrest, fabrics are a great quality, hood is good for sun coverage, the nylon raincover is also pretty good as packs down very small.

only sold it as i need a double. if my front door was wider it would be on my list.

Tiggywunkle · 07/11/2011 22:01

Thanks misdee, that's useful. Everyone seems to love their Emmaljunga! I may keep an eye on one just to try out. I am worried that it's bulky folded! I need to track some dimensions down.

misdee · 07/11/2011 22:09

what model is it?

the single isnt one i'd be wanting to lift in and out of the car regularly as it is heavey, but it is also solid and one of the best built prams i have owned (and i am well into the triple figures these days)
