Thread II.......Oh dear

OP posts:
OuchFriggingBludger · 12/07/2011 23:31

it THURSDAY that he's coming, but YES,i will be checking in every 10mins...im glad aswellas has my address though!!Grin

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 12/07/2011 23:37

Frigg, if he pulls up in a truck and has hairy knuckles post immediately Grin

On a serious note, I have asked people to call when they are nearby when I'm on my own for collections and then have everything waiting by the door or out side and sit and wait so that the neighbours can see me Smile

OuchFriggingBludger · 12/07/2011 23:49

this is a good plan honey...i shall wait nervously in the front room, and ask my fiend to pop over!
its quite good as we have a little pub 2 doors down,so if he asks to come in to use the loo,or for a drink,i can politely decline, and point him in the direction of the pub!Grin

OuchFriggingBludger · 12/07/2011 23:51

ooooh! i just bought a maxi cosi car seat!Grin
and i bought DD's birthday present's today!

my bank card has started to wail when i pick it up...

Guildfordnanny · 13/07/2011 01:31

Yay for a Maxi Cosi car seat and birthday pressie buying! I have just swiped a good job lot on Ebay of Bob the Builder stuff for my really girly girl :o
It's my son's first birthday tomorrow :) Hubby and I have been filling buckets up with beach toys, spades, rakes, flags, sweets, flower seed sticks, bubble and windmills to take to the beach for his party. I can't believe my baby will be one!!!

Hubby said tonight that he thought it was time to get a Swift and a Freerider.....but the Duet is only hours away from arriving on UK soil...so I NEED a Duet first, and then a +One and I think you can put a Freerider onto that :) After that we can think about a Swift ;)

HoneyNRD - of course I am taking your and Frigg's mortal life peril seriously...but I am offering to watch every half an hour tomorrow to check that Frigg is still alive and well....if I hear nothing then I can frantically message aswellas until she responds and dials 999. Does that make me a bit more sympathetic to your pushchairaholic plights?

I hope your bank card recovers soon Frigg....

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 13/07/2011 07:34

Then I forgive you Guildford Grin

Although tbf I think your more likely to have to perform CPR on Friggs ailing bank card than you are going to have to call emergency services for troll delivery men Wink

MonkeysPunk · 13/07/2011 08:20

guildfordnanny pm me if you're interested in my swift and freerider... once mb have replaced the faulty latch of course. Freerider is orange. Was going to put on eBay for £350 inc storm and sun mesh. ;-D

aswellasyou · 13/07/2011 11:49

Godmother of the Slovakian Mafia!!!!!GrinGrinGrin I would love things like that to happen to me! I enjoy a good ridiculous story to tell.Grin

Guildfordnanny · 13/07/2011 12:01

Thanks Monkey...my issue is that if I get a Swift now I won't have a chance f getting a +one andI need to get that safely through the door first!!!

MonkeysPunk · 13/07/2011 12:27

I've been trying the Vista ff the last couple of days, and am pleased to report it functions just as well as rf. I have a feeling the suspension has a bit more spring to it when rf though.
The basket is as easy to access either way.
I'm still so pleased with the way this pushchair runs so fast and smoothly with tgthe lightest push. It's v similar to the bugaboo bee in that respect. Only the Vista Copes much better with lumps and bumps and off road than the bee due to larger wheels.

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 13/07/2011 13:05

aswellasyou....you wouldn't! They were huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, I opened the front door and wondered why it had all gone dark.

aswellasyou · 13/07/2011 13:10

Honey stop it!!! You're killing me!Grin I've just had to try really hard not to laugh to loudly in case I wake my daughter!

Tabitha8 · 13/07/2011 17:18

Suzie Did you manage to try the Oyster apron on the Flyer? Babystyle sell the apron in a huge range of colours and I've never been a great fan of rain covers.
Flyer due next week!!

suzie38 · 13/07/2011 17:58

Hi Tabitha8 Oyster aprons have poppers that attach around the bumper bar...You can get the apron to popper around the Flyers bar though it's quite a tight fit and looks a bit untidy...Or the best and neatest of options it to unpopper the top poppers where the seat fabric attaches to the frame and then attach the apron to the seat fabric...It looks good and very cosy.

OuchFriggingBludger · 13/07/2011 20:47

OOOOOOHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Kobi will be here at 10:30am tomorrow!!

suzie38 · 13/07/2011 20:56

Exciting!!!

Guildfordnanny · 13/07/2011 21:02

Squeee! I just hope it's in as good condition as the advert said and the neighbour hasn't three heads and red eyes Wink

OuchFriggingBludger · 13/07/2011 22:50

hmmm,me too,ive never been this nervous about a buggy,i just really want it to be as it should be IYSWIM.....and for the neighbour to not be a monster from the deep...

...or to have seen this thread, referring to him as a monster from the deep, and be Angry

Guildfordnanny · 13/07/2011 23:19

You can just see the feedback now....

suzie38 · 14/07/2011 08:58

saoirse86 · 14/07/2011 09:44

Grin frigg! You wouldn't want the kobi to be diappointed with its new home! Wink Only 47 minutes to go!!!!!!!

suzie38 · 14/07/2011 09:52

I'm still chasing up Orbit Babys and getting very confused...I've had an email that i think gives bogus infomation involving Stokke so i've contacted them and see if the woman is a con artist.

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 09:53

Im looking at the pics and description of the Kobi,to make sure i get everything i should, but are there are any small pieces that are easy to miss, little adaptors or anything?
