a bit like this one
Ie. quite a big house, with large rooms, and a large garden. Not a little 3 bed cottage.

and we have 2 roomed cellar

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 02/01/2010 18:16

Oooh I'd love to see it, herladyship. Have another try.

I am very nosy, and also just quietly thinking about moving house ...

I'm always amazed at the difference in prices across quite a small, central area of a city like Bristol. You'd easily pay twice as much for a 3 bed Victorian terrace in Clifton as you would for similar in Easton.

EdgarAleNPie · 02/01/2010 18:19

a small one 200k - i suppose a really nice one could make 220. not much call for terraces round our way, it's a bungaloid growth on the south coast.

also, the more expensive the price, the harder to sell - people with the money to live elsewhere, live elsewhere.....300k for instance, could get you a substantial 3 bed semi with a sea view. (yes i know thats 320 - they'd deffo sell for 300.)

EdgarAleNPie · 02/01/2010 18:24

i lived opposite this one i brighton. fantastic location.

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 02/01/2010 18:25

Agg! None of the rightmove links are working. I am now dying of curiosity ...

About £350-400k at the moment in Godalming, Surrey.

coolma · 02/01/2010 18:46

Here in Cambridge, near the city it would be a comparable price - possibly a bit cheaper..

badgermonkey · 02/01/2010 18:48

To make the rightmove links work, click them then in the address bar, delete everything after .html.

standandeliver · 02/01/2010 19:09

I'm in London - SE25, and you could buy that house for about £300K - £320K round here.

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 02/01/2010 19:11

Stand - where is SE25?

Am in Cardiff. It would vary from about £175k to £350k depending on area of the city here.

lalalonglegs · 02/01/2010 20:33

£650k-700k - Clapham, south London.

saltyseadog · 02/01/2010 20:59

£300 - 450K

FuriousGeorge · 02/01/2010 21:29

We sold ours which is pretty much like the one you used as an example, apart from having a bigger garden, for £145,00 4.5 years ago.We bought it for £45,00 in 1996.It was in a small Leicestershire town.

IlanaK · 02/01/2010 21:34

It is exactly what we are looking for in Queens Park london. They go for minimum £650,000 and those would have tiny gardens. For a larger garden (not large as none of them are large around here) it would be closer to £750,000.

me23 · 02/01/2010 21:37

About 470-625k in wandsworth.

CatJosephine · 02/01/2010 21:39

£550k Wimbledon Park

Chaotica · 02/01/2010 21:40

Used to live quite close to where you're looking OP. And left as I couldn't afford to buy somewhere.

Where I now live for similar: 120-150k (Northamptonshire)

Northernlebkuchen · 02/01/2010 21:46

In York somewhere between 250 and 400 000 depedning on features and area. It wouldn't have a garden like that though except at the top end of the budget like this. Gardens on terraces are rare in this city. this is much more typical of outside space

NorkyButNice · 02/01/2010 21:51

We currently rent a 2 bed townhouse (although some on the street have divided the through lounge to create a 3rd bed on the ground floor).

It was on the market (and sold) for 720k before we moved in - the chain fell through hence us renting it.

I'm in Greenwich, SE London.
