ThingOne · 22/03/2009 19:24

The Cockermouth one has three summer houses. Excellent!

sleepyeyes · 22/03/2009 19:24

Babbity Imagine the cleaning bill, you'd need another £70mill!

FigmentOfYourImagination · 22/03/2009 19:25

sorry, I meant that I meant 'so naff' not 'no naff', not that TSAP's durty weekend was naff

Babbity · 22/03/2009 19:25

Figment... I know - at least a couple of years. I feel a bit sorry for the property developer - I believe it was built to someone's specifications (Russian oligarch or someone like that) who then pulled out. Vile isn't it?

ThingOne · 22/03/2009 19:26

Oh. My. Lord. At the windlesham one . I don't think I'll be saving.

twinsetandpearls · 22/03/2009 19:27

Lovely location.

This one is pretty if you want to live in a posh part of Glasgow (yes there are posh parts in Glasgow!) but it will be newish aged to look far older.

70 million anyone

FigmentOfYourImagination · 22/03/2009 19:32

It is truly revolting babbity. The developer must be sh*tting themselves in the current climate having that millstone around his/her neck. I hate the think what the repayments on the loan taken to build the vile gin palace are [blanche]

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 22/03/2009 19:32

NorthernLurker

The Huntington one is down the road from my mum.

I went to several garden parties there as a child.

'Tis lovely, but is opposite t'Social Club everyone stands outside, directly opposite the property to smoooooke their faaaaaaags.

FigmentOfYourImagination · 22/03/2009 19:34

TSAP, that's the same one as babbity linked to. More gaudy pics on your link though !

twinsetandpearls · 22/03/2009 19:34

Ooh babbity we have the same one, cant believe it is back on the market again.

It was bought by an iron magnate or similar.

FigmentOfYourImagination · 22/03/2009 19:35

sleepycat - my mates mum grew up in bearsden, she thought she was the dogs kahunas.

sleepyeyes · 22/03/2009 19:42

LOL it was year ago but has transformed itself these last few years, a cheap house is about £350K+

FigmentOfYourImagination · 22/03/2009 19:43

oh, sorry sleepyeyes I got your name wrong. I'm sure Bearsden is lovely but mates mum was a snobby witch an acquired taste

OrmIrian · 22/03/2009 19:47

I love Jekyll gardens. There is one at Hestercombe House near here. Beeeeeootiful.

Doobydoo · 22/03/2009 19:54

georgimama · 22/03/2009 19:55

Is Updown Court still not sold? With the Bond baddie interior I'm not surprised...

The Arts & Crafts house is lovely.

The St Saviour Gate house is also lovely but down from £1.2 million to £1 million. We want to buy in York so we look over these sorts of houses every week.

I do not think we have seen the bottom of the price fall yet in the York market though.
