this one would be nice if I had a spare £1,750,000 or so

solowitch - if you click on the curbar edge walk it shows the area. also shatton moor is a favourite one for me (though you have to blot out the cement works...)

hatwoman · 15/03/2009 12:10

forgot the link

I would like to live near a big city so I can easily find work within commutable distance.
I would like to live near a small town where everybody knows everybody.
I would like to live in the countryside so I can just step out of my front door and go for a muddy walk or a bike ride.
I would like to live in the middle of the country near the motorway network so I can easily visit the West Country or Wales or London or the Peak District or the Cotswolds or ... continue ad infinitum.
I would like to live where I live now.

Oooh! thank you hatwoman. Those images are gorgeous! no, I'd want to stay there too

saramoon · 15/03/2009 20:39

I live in Cheltenham and love living here. Cotswolds are lovely too.

I am very happy where I live (not a million miles from Woodwarde Road, Mintyy!)- looks like SE London has it's merits

If I HAD to live somewhere else, I would quite fancy Amsterdam.

Desiderata · 16/03/2009 20:47

I guessed that, hat

Maybe we should stop paying their prescription charges. They might hate us even more then.

newgirl · 16/03/2009 22:41

id like a vast house in st albans - near friends and family and fab place and close to london for culture

and a house in southwold

and one in petersham or richmond

and one in sandbanks

greedy huh

Easy Desi I don't hate anybody twas a light hearted contribution, same as the earlier poster who suggested Wales.

I'll tell you what though you return all the tax revenue from North Sea oil and I'll give you the dosh for my dental and eye check-ups. I do however still have to pay (at the moment) a fiver for prescriptions so probably not too much of money due there. Oh and cut my council tax and water charges down to English levels clearly to keep things fair. Okay with you?
