CountessDracula · 29/04/2008 14:31

q and s are adjacent (diagonally)

Titter · 29/04/2008 14:32

unfotunately fishie, flooding is getting much wose

Titter · 29/04/2008 14:32

i meant in the alphabet

Oliveoil · 29/04/2008 14:33

I would phone an insurance co

if you are 100 yards away, would that make you high risk

at being on the thames though

and with a pool

CountessDracula · 29/04/2008 14:34

oh
you mean
the lette ponounced ahh that is between q and s in the alphabet

CountessDracula · 29/04/2008 14:35

anywya
don't do it
you can only afford it because it is priced to flood

ChippyMinton · 29/04/2008 14:37

start asking the agent awkward questions - did house flood last summer for example?

Titter · 29/04/2008 14:49

jolly good - the envionment agency tell me it's not at isk of flooding as fa as they'e concened

(but accodin to thei map, i can see it's petty damn close)

Margoletta · 29/04/2008 17:10

Is it in SE3?

Titter · 29/04/2008 17:12

no

although i did live there once

i've been around

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 29/04/2008 17:34

This happened with the last house I sold.

It was very annoying to have to hand over 1k to an estate agent who'd done nothing apart from make one phone call to me to say Mr X would like to come and see your house Tues afternoon. Mr X bought it that day - before any brochures, etc were printed.

But I suppose if it wasn't for that estate agent we wouldn't have sold it, so hey ho. But what an easy 1k it was. GRRRRrrrr.

artichokes · 29/04/2008 17:38

It was now illegal to market a house before a HIPP has been done. So are the agents breaking the law or have they been really lazy and taken no photos etc in the two weeks it takes to do get a HIPP?

Titter · 29/04/2008 19:20

ooh i don't know artichokes

interesting

MrsBadger · 29/04/2008 19:35

is it in the town with the pastel boutique or are you staying put?

and rofl at the thought of having pool and flooding - that's just funny

fwiw we are 100yds from the blue zone on that map and our insurers care not a bean. And as you know we are -on-thames too.

Wheelybug · 29/04/2008 19:38

When we sold our last house - I appointed the estate agent at 9.30. At 9.45 my mobile rang to say someone had walked in and wanted to see it so they came and found me at a playgroup to get my keys - the guy looked at it, brought his wife back later (estate agent didn't come to the viewing as it was evening) and he offered asking price next morning.

Obviously we were v. pleased but the estate agent then wondered why we wouldn't have a sold board put up (as they obv hadn't had the chance to put a for sale up).

V. easy money. Grrrrr.

Titter · 29/04/2008 19:40

indeed, wheelybug, grrr

mrsb - no, this is in a village just the other side of the thames from here, in your very own shire

robinpud · 29/04/2008 19:41

not so bad now -- have developed the R twiddle

Titter · 29/04/2008 19:42

but thanks

quint · 29/04/2008 19:47

I don;t see your problem. You're house was sold very quickly and the venders house has been sold very quickly. Would you rather that they took loads of photos, did floor plans, wrote a wonderful desciption and it was sitting there for 18months?!

If it's that bloody easy you can do it yourself next time and pay no fees!

noddyholder · 29/04/2008 19:48

same happened to us but at the last minute the solicitors asked for details and the agent had to go round and trake photos and do a brochure. He was not pleased as before that he had done NOTHING!

Titter · 29/04/2008 19:48

oh it was only a half=hearted moan

i care not two hoots really - not my money is it

why so stressy, quint, hmm?

stroppy mare

noddyholder · 29/04/2008 19:50
