To good to be left buried on the other thread where I put it. This house deserves a thread all of it's own. The most fabulously maximalist interior I've seen in a long time, coupled with a really interesting building. here

Love it. I imagine the people who live there are great fun and interesting.

Lulu1919 · 10/08/2022 07:58

Bloody hell ....would love to go in and look at all the stuff and photos....

Notarealmum · 10/08/2022 08:06

Wow, I want to be friends with the people who live there!!

DilemmaDelilah · 10/08/2022 08:09

It's not to my taste, and the thought of all that dusting and spider traps fills me with horror, (I'm particularly thinking of overlong fringed curtains) but I can see why other people like it. However I do think their estate agent should have advised them to take down the flag and the religious stuff before the photos were taken - it could reduce the number of people willing to consider it.

Bretonbear · 10/08/2022 08:11

I love it! It looks like Nanny McPhee's annexe.

Have you ever been to Frome?
That's understated, I kid you not!!!

Yes, this!
Me to myself: Wow, that's quite something. I wonder where it is and how much? < scrolls down > Ah, yes of course... Frome...

CrunchyCarrot · 10/08/2022 08:13

Wow that's insane! I'd have a headache within minutes of being in those rooms. I would have to completely redecorate it!

moistmingemist · 10/08/2022 08:16

Amazing. I love it but wouldn't be able to live with the decor!

OnlyEverAutumn · 10/08/2022 08:19

I agree with PP! That’s very Frome 😄

Littlefish · 10/08/2022 08:21

I absolutely love it. However, the idea of having to pack it all up to move makes me feel a bit weak!

MaggieFS · 10/08/2022 08:25

Why can't I see a link?

Clutterbugsmum · 10/08/2022 08:36

It's The last word (here) not a actual link

Clutterbugsmum · 10/08/2022 08:39

I love how the estate agent mentions nothing about the house other in a general way.

mondaytosunday · 10/08/2022 08:40

I quite like that kitchen (maybe a white ceiling though). Actually think it looks good if you are into that style - it doesn't look too 'done' and feels very homey and cosy. I'd love to be a house guest! Don't think I could live there though.

WhereAreMyAirpods · 10/08/2022 08:44

A lovely counterpoint to grey, grey, grey and crushed velvet.

LazyDaisy22 · 10/08/2022 08:46

A bit too colourful and crowded for me but it’s been decorated with so much care and love. A really warm home rather than just a house.

Absolutely, or shiny surfaces and all that inspirational Live Life Love whatever shite written in cursive script on the walls.

TommySaid · 10/08/2022 08:55

I was thinking the exact same thing!

Every house is all grey or neutral colours and it’s just so boring!

I know it’s meant to be more peaceful having plain colours but I do think your home should be a way to celebrate your personality (unless you don’t have one).

viques · 10/08/2022 08:58

All a bit too self conscious, and not very well done because of it. Houses like that should evolve, not be planned.

How can you tell that it hasn't 'evolved'?

ODFOx · 10/08/2022 09:06

Love it!
Most of the furniture is neutral/plain so it really works against the decorative walls

DappledThings · 10/08/2022 09:11

I love it. It's just so joyous.

averythinline · 10/08/2022 09:14

I like it ...and if fromes a bit like thst may add to my house hunting areas!

midsomermurderess · 10/08/2022 09:17

It clearly brought someone much joy. I wonder if they sing the national anthem at bed time.

MaggieFS · 10/08/2022 09:19

Cor blimey trousers.

Wow, that's incredible. What an amazing ability to bring together such an eclectic mix.

I'm also curious about the comments about Frome? All I know of it is from reading Jenson Button's autobiography which didn't hint as such a bohemian side.

(Thanks @Clutterbugsmum for the reply, the purple link wasn't showing on my phone earlier 🤷‍♀️)
