What colour is your bedroom?

Annoying DH. Halfway through painting the room oval room blue I've changed my mind. Too similar to my DS's room (Dix blue) and lounge (de nimes). Too dark too.

Now I have no idea what to do. Maybe borrowed light or Drizzle (LG). But can't get LG anywhere today and want to carry on painting tonight. Doesn't have to be FB, I just can't decide on anything and have their colour card here.

What colour is everyone's bedroom? Need some inspiration. I like colour but also don't want anything darker it turns out.

Cornforth White here. It’s very soothing.

WildStallyn · 14/11/2021 22:38

Pure white. We have oak floors and lots of plants to soften it.

SirenSays · 14/11/2021 22:40

White and teal with with copper and gold accents

expatmigrant · 14/11/2021 22:46

Dulux pure brilliant white...like the rest of the house. Wink

JerkintheMerkin · 15/11/2021 11:34

Natural Sage. Perfect shade of green. White bed, woodwork and furniture

MrsSkylerWhite · 15/11/2021 11:35

Very dark blue and old gold.

LG Hicks Blue Blush I absolutely love it

beggingforsleep · 15/11/2021 11:54

I've really enjoyed this thread. Lovely to see everyone's choices. Some really bold ones!

I've ended up getting LG Drizzle but as he was mixing it for me I looked at the board of all the colours and thought maybe it's a bit too much of a true blue. Couldn't face telling him to stop though!

So I'll probably be back on this list in a couple of days. Looking for something else.

Def taking some of the ideas for the rest of the house.

Ours is black Grin

Dh got to choose since I decorated the rest of the house. It's actually not that bad as the wallpaper has a black background with a grey damask print and we have white fitted wardrobes taking up a whole wall. It is certainly restful being so dark but it's not really my style!

Titsywoo · 15/11/2021 12:04

@Tootyfilou

Oval room blue Grin. I absolutely love it. Big windows with lots of light though. Its one of my favorite colours. It makes me feel happy 😊
My hallway is this colour - I say it is blue, DH says green and others say grey. Depends on the light I think!
Sparkai · 15/11/2021 12:09

Dulux tranquil dawn here

ChewChewPanda · 15/11/2021 12:11

Ours is borrowed light and I love it, very calm and makes the most of the light (we have quite a small window so this is important). Furniture and bedding both white.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 15/11/2021 14:38

I checked: my bedroom is Lulworth Blue.

TuftyMarmoset · 15/11/2021 14:46

Pale blue. I think we went for deluxe holiday blues 6 in the end. It’s a nice calm colour and not too dark or drab in a room that doesn’t get much natural light.

Dulux, not deluxe

Sexnotgender · 15/11/2021 14:48

This colour. Absolutely love it.

The office of FB Light Blue and I agree it's a lovely restful colour but is a bit 'cold' - it is a North facing room, though.

My bedroom is Green Ground and I love, love, love it. Just the perfect mix of calming and relaxing while still having some warmth to it.

From tomorrow ours will be F&B Setting Plaster.

Fingers crossed it looks ok, but it can't be any worse than what's currently on the walls. The previous owners chose thick black, silver and germolene-pink striped paper. It's utterly revolting and, because they decided to hang the wallpaper horizontally rather than vertically, it's also full of air bubbles so it looks doubly shit. Can't wait for it to be gone.

MRSAHILL · 15/11/2021 16:08

@Sexnotgender that is a gorgeous blue. What's it called please?

weegiemum · 15/11/2021 16:48

Ours is quite a strong mustard yellow, with blue/yellow bedclothes and curtains. It sounds awful when you write it down but it works really well and is remarkably restful, it's lovely and warm looking when you get up on a winter morning (it faces south east). I like strong colours though. Dh always says he has no idea on colours but usually likes what I pick out.

It’s a Johnston’s professional paint called Larkspur in matte.

MRSAHILL · 15/11/2021 17:07

@Sexnotgender thanks

PeppaNeedsToBeWrappedInBacon · 15/11/2021 17:10

Mines emerald green with gold accents.

ClementineWardobe · 15/11/2021 17:25

It was one of the trade paints, mixed from a card called Edwardian Maroon. Its a deep intense purple/brown. Appropriate for a 1930s house. Very dark and very striking. Woodwork and ceiling are the colour of Baileys Irish Cream. Cream carpets. The curtains are a wide stripe of very deep purples and browns, it was the only fabric I could find from hundreds and hundreds that tied in with the walls. I'd only ever change to a deep deep Blue.
