Anyone got a new kitchen?

Any one care to share some pics of their new kitchens? I'm about to upgrade my kitchen and I'm at loss as to what kind of kitchen I would like. Painted vs contemporary, inset vs regular. I'm all pinterested out too.

@GinisLife do you have a photo of your kitchen please? This is the colour I'm thinking of getting and it would be great to see another kitchen in it (as well as the pp posted)

Ideally I'd go for IKEA for the storage options but there aren't any colours I like. I'm pondering IKEA carcasses and buying separate doors - has anyone done this?

I have a pretty big kitchen so IKEA won't cut it unfortunately but its great for ideas and some of the ikea kitchens on here are lovely.

Why won't Ikea work for a big kitchen?

Mainly because part of the kitchen will need to be custom made to fit a particular space.

I am sooooo pleased with it. It was just about finished before lockdown barring a few small bits and it made life so much nicer.

I love the grey units and the teal colours on the walls, looks great! And by painting the walls that colour you can change it if you want in a few years without having to change the cabinets too.

It was a local independent. The units are Remo from second nature kitchens. Dust grey.

I lucked out - between first choosing kitchen and finalising colour they added that colour to their standard paint range. Before it was in custom colours and so would have been more expensive.

Thanks - they are definitely on my short list!

The glass came out a little darker than I was expecting but not so dark I cannot live with it. Some of it is due to it having the extractor above and then the black of the hob I think. It looks lighter where it's surrounded by white.

Do you know how big your kitchen is? Just wondering whether I have sufficient space to do something similar.

Also, this might be a silly question but what would you call your island? Just wondering how to google it.

Have you had a look at The Used Kitchen Company? I’m keeping an eye out on there atm and so many great kitchens for sale!

@CakesForTea I love your pendant lights. Where did you get them? I'd found similar on brand alley of all places but didn't get around to buying them before they were out of stock.

@Smallgoon we’ve gone with topsco- been impressed with customer service so far but obviously won’t know for sure until they actually come and template/fit!
